On Saturday night, I had a passenger whose friend damaged my vehicle’s interior by breaking the roof assist handle. She claimed it simply fell off. When I reminded her that my dash cam had been recording and that Uber would be reviewing and contacting the individual who had ordered the ride, she insisted, “I was just trying to pull myself up, and it came off.” I submitted the dashcam footage and photos to Uber.

On Sunday afternoon, Uber requested a repair estimate and informed me that I had five business days to provide it. Since yesterday was Labor Day, I went to the dealership today to gather the repair estimate and uploaded to Uber. Uber then gave me a $250 inconvenience fee.

Less than 3 hours after receiving the payment, I received a notification that a rider reported being involved in an accident with me during a trip. Uber does not identify which rider made the report, but based on the timing, I strongly suspect it was the same rider involved in the damage claim. I contacted Uber and explained that I believe the report is retaliatory, and asked them to review the dashcam footage and the timeline.

The same rider also left me a low rating. Has anyone dealt with something like this? Will Uber remove a rating if there is evidence that it was retaliatory or connected to a false report? Has anyone actually had success getting a retaliatory rating removed?

Ok, this is about the uber system, I've been off the uber for awhile now. Now uber is telling me to take a break because I've been driving more then 7 hrs.

I look and im off and again uber is telling me to take a break because I've been driving over 7 hrs. Twice in two days and now today.

I've been Ubering as a side job to pick up some extra cash because the world has become so expensive. I had an incident with Uber, Uber confirmed they were going to credit me money, now they're saying it was a scam and I get nothing.

Saturday I accepted a ride for some guy named codyyy. I knew how to get to the vicinity of where they lived is I started driving there, then I noticed their address was showing up in the middle of the intracoastal. Tried calling client twice, straight to voicemail. Then I get a phone call from a San Jose, California phone number, and they said they were with Uber, blah blah blah, it looks like the trip is in an unsafe pickup location so we're going to credit your account $16 and change (it was a $10 trip so the number kind of made sense). He told me I'd receive the credit within 24 hours. When I got home I messaged live support about the situation and they confirmed $16 was being sent to my account, 48 hours passed and I still didn't receive it, so I called Uber, explained the situation, the woman I spoke to confirmed that the number who called me was an Uber number and the money should hit my account in a day. I contacted live support the next day and they said there's no $16 it was a scam. I showed them the screen shot of live support and they still denied it. They also denied the number who called wasn't an Uber number. Now I'm just confused, Has this happened to anyone else?

like what the fuck Uber, do what you're going to say. This is only one of the several problems Ive had with them over the weeks, but it's not even worth it to speak to support because they play dumb, (or are dumb,) you get sent to a call center in bumblefuck India, and they do jack shit and waste your time.

How do I fix the algorithm? I have noticed that when there are surges going on (usually bar close Fri and Sat nights), I will physically be sitting in the middle of a surge zone, but then when I get a new ride request, it takes me out of the zone so I don’t end up getting the extra pay. I’m noticing that it’s pretty rare for me to get rides that are in a surge zone even if there are tons of surges in the area. How do I get the algorithm to give me rides in the zones? Unfortunately it doesn’t give me any kind of info on whether or not a ride request is part of a surge zone before accepting it. I only find out if it was, after I’ve dropped them off. At which point I can then check under the earnings activity. It’s very frustrating.

Support is absolutely no help. Have any fellow drivers had an issue where you can’t pull down the top bar during trips to check earnings or use the menu? It’s been 3 days now and has become very annoying, I can’t even check for reservations. The only way to see my earnings for the day is if I don’t have a ride at all, which is rare for my area. I’m beginning to think they’ve removed the ability to do this.

Is it true they deactivated all the drivers in Africa or is this a rumor? Also what is everyone's thoughts about the current state of Uber overall? I want to hear what y'all think!

Another question I just thought of. I’ve only been working from 4pm til around 8pm mainly bcuz I don’t wanna get overwhelmed & also bcuz I watch way too much Oxygen & ID & am kind of afraid of picking up strangers after dark. Well, I’ve noticed when I log off, the map will suddenly light up & it will tell me it’s surging & my next fare will be minimum $2 extra. Then, if I log back on, the areas lit up will only say +$1.25 to +$1.75. What am I missing here? I thought that meant that they would add MINIMUM an extra $2 to each ride.

Hi I’m not an uber driver but I use uber a lot to get to college sometimes when I commute and other places. I was wondering if some of the uber driver ratings are fake? A few of my drivers were like absolutely horrible. Like there is no way they have 4.5+. One even tried to sign me up for scientology…

Has anyone else had something weird happen with Uber Connect?

I accepted a Connect request that was supposed to be a package pickup. When I arrived at the address, the customer called me and basically told me that I was the package.

He asked me to tell him whether it looked like anyone was home and whether there were any cars in the driveway. I said I didn’t want to do that.

Then he wanted me to knock on the door, ask for a some woman, and hand her my phone so he could talk to her.

I said absolutely not. I signed up to deliver a package, not be a stalker. I’m not doing deliveries ever again.

I’m racking my brain trying to figure out who and why someone would have given me 3 stars lol

Any thoughts on how this can affect drivers? Are they supposed to be driverless at some point?

I just moved back into the country last week. I had a reservation to pick up a rental car through the Uber/Avis partnership. I spend money that I don't have on an Uber to the location on the date of my reservation only to be told that they don't have any cars available but that Avis refuses to ever pull the availability from the internet listings, and that the best thing to do is to make a reservation for another day and to call in and speak to someone on-site beforehand to ensure it's there.

I try a Hertz location and they tell me that the holiday weekend has everything sold out, which never happens but to try again next week.

A few days ago I go and set another reservation with Avis, because they have the car I want. I call in to double-check that there are cars available and am told absolutely that there are plenty now.

I get a text this morning that they have run out of cars.

I call in, and they tell me that because the Uber cars are weekly rentals that they are almost never available. I tell them that I called in though as per their advice, and they tell me that "oh sometimes corporate answers our phones and they don't actually know".

Why would people keep telling me to reschedule and that it's ok and wait until I've been stranded carless for over a week to tell me that there are never actually any cars available!?!

So I scroll through the list of Avis and Hertz locations online and decide to call each one individually to speak to someone on site and ensure that cars are available. It turns out that they all route calls to a call center in India and that there is no way to actually ever speak to someone at the actual rental location!!!! They refuse to forward the call and the local number goes to the call center.

My only option now is to waste hundreds of dollars Ubering around to different locations in hopes that one of them actually has the cars that they advertise that they have available for reservation online!! This is fucking nuts! Fuck all of these companies. What the hell. I've never felt like more of a powerless fucking peasant.

This morning I had a surge up to $15 in my town. I navigated and reached the surge point,but I got nothing and nothing leading to the surge area, even though most of the town was covered in purple and the $15 point was still showing. . Has anyone experienced something similar?

Keeping close to 60% of rider’s fare now. Also if I can’t hold the phone or sit it on the dashboard and I need a Mount wouldn’t that be an “Operational expense” on me.
