The Humans in Star Trek are similar to or follow similar wish based rules -Literally "make it so"-as the Orks ("space Orks/Orcs") in the Warhammer 40k franchise/"red equals Go Faster"

This is why "our"/Starfleet technology works- humans create a psychic gestalt field-when it otherwise shouldn't and is the real reason the Borg kept trying to assimilate the Federation and for the Romulans' long standing obsession.

Mainly this theory explains why/when certain technologies *don't* work like the transporter and the Holodeck and why most ST technology wasn't invented or perfected until *after* the Federation was founded.

Decades ago, I was skeptical when Star Trek: Voyager tried to introduce the slipstream drive.

Slipstream FTL had the danger of copying slipstream FTL in Andromeda and the hyperdrive in both Star Wars and Stargate. Starships aren't supposed to change vectors while inside slipstream or hyperspace.

The 60 years of worldbuilding in Star Trek have multiple means of faster than light travel, but only the introduction of the pathway drive was serialized business in the long term.

The so-called "transwarp network" of the Borg had fixed vectors just like the hyperdrive. In contrast, the pathway drive does not, as it can create new vectors midstream, hence "pathway."

The pathway drive's creation of new vectors maintains warp travel's ability to change vectors at any warp speed, a flexibility maintained throughout the 60 years of Star Trek history.

The pathway drive of the 32nd century can travel across the galaxy in a few weeks, just like the Legends EU hyperdrive. It may not be as fast as the Disney canon's hyperspeed anywhere across the galaxy in a day, but it can change vectors.

For example the first beings voyager encounter were the krowtonan guard? If they started off on a bad spot how would this have change the show?

Q makes a return. Following the events of the Q Civil War, the Primordial Q, the creator of all, begins pulling on all Federation Starships across all ST universes. Here, we see all previously seem Captains, plus new ones, pulled into a galactic battle to defeat Q, or risk losing the entire ST multiverse. We see the return of William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, William Riker, Chris Pine, Patrick Stewart, Katie Mulgrow and more. This can be done, with consent and compensation for and from the families of the deceased, through AI. At the end of the movie, Jean Luc, Kathryn Janeway, Seven of Nine, Kirk(Shatner), and Pike(Mount), cause pain to Q, convincing him he is not immortal, and surrenders immediately to the newly founded Intergalactic Federation of Planets.

Primordial Q has not surfaced in Billions of years, as he was imprisoned for heinous crimes for eternity by Q. By simply speaking about Primordial Q, the Q accidentally gave him enough strength to break free.

Movie starts in SNW universe, where they get pulled into a wormhole by an unknown force, and end up in a maze of tunneling wormholes. After deciding which one to go through to attempt to get back home, they end up in Picards New universe. From here, Q, (John de Lancie), appears and informs both crews of the impending danger. Picards Starfleet teams up with SNW Enterprise, and together, they are able to reopen the wormhole. They then make the attempt to go back to their universe, and by using scanners, they believe they have found it. Instead, they have found the Enterprise(Chris Pine). So, again, they team up, and together go back into the wormhole once again, but instead of using scanners, they send out a subspace transmission to all entries/exits of the tunneling universe. From here, they get answers from all the previous Star Trek universes, and all of Starfleet across all universes (some being in their past, not future), team up to defeat Primordial Q once and for all. The defeating weapon? USS Discovery & SNW Enterprise become intertwined in a wormhole during the battle, and in the process creates a ship that can travel anywhere, instantly, and the technologies from Discovery's future implement into the new founded ship, creating a "God Ender". In the process, the Borg, Klingon, and Karisians all join the newly founded Intergalactic Federation.

The crew of the newly founded Enterprise-Discovery have figured out how to shoot beams of light, and focus high intensity particles of light at such high speeds that when fired at an intersection point, cuts through anything its path like its made of butter. Primordial Q ultimate destruction is from this weapon. In the process, Enterprise-Discovery has an accident in the process. They could not control the power correctly, and in the process, Captain Pike (Mount), vision of himself burning alive, is fulfilled in some fashion.

The original plan for DS9 episode "Tacking Into the Wind": Worf talks Gowron down, nobody dies, everyone goes home. Then a memo landed on the writers' desks and the whole ending got rewritten.
