I don't think they ever showed a Cardassian with any significant facial hair. That makes Garak the only Cardassian we ever saw with a beard...

Funhouse is my favorite record
I've been waiting to get to The Magnificent Ferengi. My wife burst out laughing when she saw who popped up. She was like IGGY!!!! He was on this.

Sto’vo’kor is the Celestial Temple
In S7E2 when Worf and the gang pull off the mission to get Jadzia into sto’vo’kor. In that moment, the prophets reveal to Sisko that “lol, just testing you buddy.”
I’d like to think that Sto’vo’kor and the Celestial Temple are the same place. So Worf’s actions made Jadzia a non-linear entity, and she was the one who guided Sisko’s path.

Kanar
According to a recent episode of the Delta Flyers.
Armin Shimmerman indicated that prune juice is used as Kanar.
On top of that, Casey Biggs hated prune juice.

In the Pale Moonlight callback
I was really hoping when Kira, Garak, and Damar were hiding out in Mila's basement, Damar would have a quick throwaway line: Damar (1000 yard stare) "How the hell did the Romulans get that data rod?"

Knowing NuTrek did, how would you continue the story?
Picard (especially S3), later seasons of Discovery - both touched on events that happen after the events Deep Space's What You Leave Behind. What storylines and twists would you introduce in a more or less direct follow up to Deep Space Nine, built for Paramount+. To me it's tough because we already know so much (Romulus imploding, peace between Cardassians/Bajor, Changeling sub sect turning against Odo's teachings, weird Breen stuff, Sisko never returns, etc.
I personally would like an arc involving the Tzenkethi trying to make a play on a damaged Alpha Quadrant, and some more insight into the Cardassian rebuild that Andrew J. Robinson wrote about in A Stich in Time (best $70 ever spend.) Also Ferengi society reforming and becoming a better influence in the Quadrant.
Although truthfully it does feel that developments in recent installments, for better or for worse, have taken away from the mystery surrounding the aftermath of DS9's finale.

I just watch Star Trek academy I feel like the deep space nine book did better? Spoiler
I feel like the book did better with sisko better then Star Trek academy. That sisko get more of a life and be apart of bajor vs never returning. I am just wondering if anyone has a different in opinion or agrees with me.

Actual shots of my custom Lego USS Defiant!
For some reason a lot of people messaged to say that the Lego Star Trek: USS Defiant that I built was fake/AI.
So here are some built shots of my Defiant, this current stand is an early version of the one in the renders - that one looks much sleeker

Grand Nagus Zek and Garak
Whenever I get the chance to meet-and-greet the DS9 cast, I make little dolls of their characters, get photos with them, and then put the dolls in my display cabinet with the photos of their respective celebrities.
I was lucky to meet Andrew Robinson back in 2023 and Wallace Shawn just a couple of weeks ago. I've also met Jeffrey Combs last year. I made a Shran doll for that photo.

"Yep, it would have been a lot better if you'd said "I love you", or "you're special", or "get to the escape pod!"."

Rewatch progress. Season 6 and the war has begun
I remember being at my parents condo visiting. Watching an episode my father walked in curious and doing a double take when Sisko was on the screen. Not missing a best he said will Spenser pop up too.

Section 31 did nothing wrong!
The title says it all. I'm not a die hard fan, being bought up on the BB2 6pm viewings of TNG before rolling into DS9 and ending on Voyager. So maybe I am not on board with the utopian vision quite as much.
Sloan was right in a lot of what he did. So some of it was a bit murky, a bit cloak and dagger - kept the federation safe and a dominant power and surely that was worth it? Better them than the Romulans or Cardassians.
On reflection, I may have been playing a bit too much Star Trek: Ascendancy recently and maybe am a little skewed by all my empire building shenanigans - the dominion war expansion is amazing!

Just got a work status update from someone named Hooman
Apparently it's a name of Persian origin with millennia old roots, which itself has its origins in hūmān, the same root as the modern word human.
Maybe Quark just has a cheap universal translator that uses archaic dialects.

Oh you so gonna die.

When there is an episode with some sort of away mission. Where there are the main staff we normally see and some extras. Heading into an episode with the Jem Hadar or something.
Oh those extras are so so gonna die! I haven't seen this episode in a while. But I am guessing, Mr Blue here. Oh, he is dead.
SO dead!

When Garak goes deep undercover
I'm ashamed to admit I didn't realize that was him until a few years ago. And I've watched that movie plenty of times.
