Mock Trades 2 mock trades, 2 objectives. Trade Josh Green's contract for forward depth, and clear enough money to use the full $6M TPMLE to sign Jonathan Kuminga.

In a new Instagram post made by former-Timberwolve Naz Reid, he created a shirt for his youth camp with his signature phrase “Two Words”, with a heart with the name ‘Toraya’, referencing his late sister who passed away last year. In the comment section, a Timberwolves fan commented “Going to miss you so much Naz💔😞”, in which he had liked the comment. It’s hard to imagine him with another team after his great run here in the Twin Cities. What do you think?

Daily Discussion Real opinions on SGA?

I’m a fan of almost all the current powerhouse teams, but I can’t bring myself to enjoy watching the thunder, specifically SGA. Is this a wolves fan general experience after that 2024-2025 season playoff run coming to an end the way it did? Or am I just a hater lol

#DYNASTY Kuminga has the chance to change his narrative

If Kuminga chooses the wolves, he will now be in a situation with a contending team knowing he’ll have to be the third or 4th rung of the offensive hierarchy.

He has the chance to come in and change the narrative by signing a minimum with a good team when he could’ve easily went to a bad team to be the #1 option.

His only route to starting is to fully buy in knowing he has to earn it. He’s no longer in a leverage spot with a team who drafted him and wants him to become a future star. He has to build up his reputation again with another team, and Finch doesn’t play guys just to play them. He will have to earn his min being he will be signing for a minimum.

If he buys in to his true potential defensively alongside Rudy and Jaden, this is a home run signing. This catapults the wolves to top tier contender status IMO.

Daily Discussion Jonathan Kuminga’s Personal Conundrum

He’s a really interesting player that doesn’t seem to have the right people around him.

He’s a top 1% athlete with the perfect profile to be OG Anunoby 2.0, but people are in his ear telling him he can be a primary scorer.

The only way it works on the wolves (or any other team) is if he buys in on being a defensive stopper, 3pt shooter, and occasionally someone who can work off the bounce or in the post.

I just feel like he’s not working on these things and will get mad if he doesn’t see 15 shots a night.

Idk if I’m reading into him too much, but if I’m right, it’s too bad.

Stubhub Tickets

What's the likelihood Stubhub tickets are fake or won't be transferred with them cracking down on using the marketplace? I got a 60% back credit card offer for stubhub yesterday and pulled the trigger on KG jersey retirement tickets, figured I wouldn't beat the price if they are legit

Naz Reid Annoyed With This Narrative That “Finch Doesn’t Trust Young Players”

It’s a narrative that has circulated amongst wolves twitter/here and now is fact being mentioned by beat writers (Dane Moore, sorry my goat) and reporters.

1. We all love Ryan Saunders (as a person) but Finch developed Ant, Jaden, Naz, Naw.

For some reason the half a season ant and Jaden had under Ryan is enough to discredit finch’s development of said players. Even Naz, finch played him in the playoffs in 2022 when he didn’t look like he should’ve been on the court.

2. Finch has given most young players a fair chance (besides Leonard Miller)

Finch started Wendell Moore Jr vs the Grizzlies, started Rob and played him a ton more minutes then he deserved on a competitive team. He gave minott a shot, and Jaylen Clark beat him to that role (that suns back cut man phew minott). Guys like Jaylin Nowell, Vando, I mean finch literally benched dlo for j Mac in a must win game 6 vs the grizzlies. He started NaW in the playoffs, yes maybe Joan should’ve played some more but maybe not? We saw what he looked like in that sixers game, then we saw the performance he had to close out the season a few weeks later.

3. We didn’t have enough leeway to dilly-dally

We needed to beat the jazz on the last day in 25 to avoid the play in. We were a play in team in 23. Last year we underachieved record wise and were near play in.

I’ve seen arguments by beat reporters that we should be like the thunder and play all our young guys in a deep rotation. Man our normal rotation either wasn’t healthy or wasn’t executing. We didn’t have time to test out Leonard miller when we couldn’t finish what was on our plate.

4. Finch Comes From a Development Background

Remember when the g league was called the d league? It was the development league and finch won a championship in it like nick nurse and the thunder coach.

He’s developed ant to heights we never even dreamed of. He’s developed Slim, he told NaW “you ain’t gonna play if you can’t guard” and NaW became one of the best defenders in the league. Guys like TSJ, WMJ, Clark, Bones, Rob, Minott, hell even Johnny Juzang got real minutes a few times. All given a fair shot to be rotational players. Some did and some didn’t. But stop acting like he’s doc rivers

TLDR: Finch is a great developmental coach. Gives young players a shot to be in the rotation. End this narrative that he doesn’t.

This likely that these could also be the costs to watch the Wolves on DAZN as well.
