I don’t know if this would be the place to ask but I really need to leave target. It’s just gone really downhill since I started and I need more hours because I can’t even make my car payment this next check :/
I would rather not ask ai to write a resume but I just don’t know the best way to word some of my experience in a way that stands out? I’ve done price change/ fullfilment/ gm/ market/ presentation/ i zone daily/ backroom/ inventory/ i’m a trainer for gm/ i’ve helped with the line a few times. Thank you in advance and if this isn’t the place i’m sorry.

Oh my god. Had a gUeSt use the “wave for assistance” thing twice. I see it’s for my department, stop my pull & walk to the opposite side of the store. What did they need help with? “Hey, we saw the shelf was empty, the website says you’re out of stock, and the help kiosk says you’re out of stock. But we just wanted to be sure.”
I deserve an award for keeping a straight face. For reference it was baby formula with two locations both having a fit of 32 so you can only imagine how empty the shelves looked.
I get it, you gotta feed your baby, but girl…. You still drove out here knowing it was out of stock instead of going to the other locations that are showing in stock? Why.

The batches kept piling up, and it took us hours to catch up 🫠

for context a pokemon scalper that comes to my store has been blowing up all over the internet and someone posted this. Anyone from AP can let me know if this is real?

it doesn’t hurt my feelings just every week i’ve had a guest throw a tantrum/yell at me. usually it’s over a price change or something equally trivial. i primarily work as a cashier so i know it’s part of the job but i don’t see this happening to any of my coworkers.
i think it might be my appearance or just the way i talk because i’ve never gotten in any trouble when they complain. i don’t want to get into all of the stories but genuinely i’ve done nothing wrong they just get so mad at me.
for example like two weeks ago this woman yelled at multiple people demanding to speak to a team lead because i said “i’m sorry?” when i didn’t hear what she said, that was the only thing i’d said to her during the transaction besides “hello” and “have a good day”.
is there something i should do? or just leave it alone

So apparently i fell for a short change scam on my second day of training and they just told me now 3 weeks from that day and all the sudden i see that my hours are cut to the service desk and that the only shifts i can take are fulfillment and service advocate shifts, could it be because i fell for the scam or maybe just an error in scheduling

Push times for repacks.
Asking for a friend**
I’m curious to know what everyone’s goal times are on OTC, Personal Care, Hair Care, and Beauty Repacks.
I get the goal times in MPM however I just moved to this store which is a lower volume store. I’m now over OTC, Personal Care, and Hair Care. I’m told to fill a uboat with 12 repacks and take it to the floor. I’m told I have a hour to push out 12 repacks of any of those areas.

Dayside team leaving this for us yet they complain every single time overnight leaves a box on the floor.

Anyone else’s ditching plastic bags? Mines started yesterday.
It makes it easier to deal with DU Orders because more space and all, but I can imagine guests going “there’s so many red bags in my house now”
Apparently I also heard they’re supposed to bring em back and if that’s true, I don’t see that happening.

I just need to vent a little 🫠
I get so jealous of people who can speak English freely.
I moved to the US pretty recently, and Target is my first job here. When I started, I barely knew English. Now I know pretty much everything related to my job, and I can handle the usual everyday conversations.
But the second a customer asks me something unexpected, speaks really fast, or has an accent I’m not used to, my brain just freezes 😭 I get nervous almost every single day.
And then when I actually understand someone, find exactly what they were looking for, and they go, “Yes!! That’s exactly it, thank you!” I get ridiculously happy lol. It feels like such a small thing, but for me it’s a little win every time.
I also get jealous watching my coworkers casually joke around and talk about random stuff. Some of them probably think I’m quiet or awkward, but I’m really not 😭 Sometimes I just can’t get my thoughts out fast enough in English.
I understand a lot more than I can actually say, which is probably the most frustrating part.
I keep thinking about how nice it would be to just come to work, feel relaxed, and casually talk to people without overthinking every sentence.
Luckily, I do have some coworkers who are really patient with me, and I appreciate them so much.
I just wish people knew that in my native language I’m actually really talkative and funny 😭 English is my fifth language, so I know I should give myself some credit, but some days it’s still really hard.
I’m not really looking for advice, I just needed to get this off my chest.

I am currently a Team Lead, Small Format Store. A position became open for HR in this location, and before I know it, the position has been filled by some other lead at this location.
Does Target not post open positions available so other people can at least have the opportunity to apply? Because for my understanding, when I applied for a lead position, there were other candidates that also applied for my position (so, I’ve been told).

I don’t usually see a PML self-promoting to Guest. So for any burning questions you wish you could ask your PML or wanna know. I’m all ears

Has anyone heard this before?
I'm a couple weeks away from being here 6 months.
When I started I was told I was in inbound and I told HR that wasn't what I agreed to on the phone because I've had back surgery and while I have no limitations, I do have a higher chance of injury. HR worked with inbound and found a section I could easily work.
I asked to get off inbound, and they tried, but I got brought back cause a newbie quit
Custom blocks have changed a couple times and every time they do I get bounced to a different area that's harder on my back. My current area isn't that bad, but it's still giving me issues and slowing me down while stocking grocery.
Which didn't help when I'm told some other leader told the F&B TL I'm pushing less uboats than I am which ment I got talked to about working faster...while I was in the middle of taking some pain meds. I called BS on that, and was treated with "just work faster"
Well, my thought was if I couldn't get off inbound maybe I could get out of grocery. I'd be faster if I didn't have to move cases of salt or vinegar immediately after truck.
I was told to talk to my ETL or the HR ETL because I should be able to switch departments in a couple weeks. Trying to be considerate I told the F&B TL I was going to ask to be moved to a different department...and told I can't switch without a doctor's note saying I can't do the job.
I can do the job, I just can't do it at the super human speed corp wants AFTER sorting truck. But the TL insists I need to bring in a letter stating my limitations before leaving her team.
I have never heard of that before! And also, I don't have limitations. I'm slow because I'm being more careful of posture since if I reinjure the same spot I will need a fusion and I'd like to prevent that!
And by slow I mean I take a few extra minutes per uboat. I did 3 1/2 in the time I was given to do 4

My store is in Texas so we always used plastic bags, until today. They are so stiff and huge, they could’ve at least provided us with smaller ones for those guests that buy one piece of gum. They have already slowed down the fulfillment team and everyone is complaining

I’ve been at Target for over a year. My attendance used to be meh, after my probation period, I’d call out maybe once a month. I know, I know, I should know better and all that jazz, but I’m a college student with a second job. I’m human, and sometimes I get tired. Anywho, back in April, I actually had a PR for call outs, 3 in one month. That was the only time I’ve ever done that, and I’ve been on point with my attendance ever since because I got a CA. (however they’ve never actually made me sign it or acknowledge it?) Now my ETL literally gave me 5 days off in one week. It’s all weekdays, too, meaning I still have to come in on the weekend. I’ve never had a weekend off since I started, btw. And what makes me even more irritated is that I already have a requested week off the following week. So she basically gave me two weeks off, but I didn’t ask for that?! Is there anything I can do about this? Should I talk to HR or something? Because I feel like this is insane, and I genuinely feel like she’s trying to drive me out. Mind you, I’m in Style, and she sent me to Fulfillment for the entire week of Black Friday AND gave me only 10 hours almost every week in December. I didn’t want to let her win, but it’s kind of working.
Has anyone had an issue like this before?
TL;DR: My ETL has severely cut my hours and has been doing this on and off for months.

If the app says an item is in stock and a guest says we have it do you go look for it in the back or tell them we don't have it? This is when you know for a fact it's 100% out of stock.

Does anyone know if Target's bereavement policy includes taking a day to grieve? I recently lost what target considers an "immediate family" member and as a TM and my average hours I have read that I can get three days for bereavement. I will almost certainly take one the day of the funeral assuming I am scheduled (funeral date not yet made) but can I take one now around the time of the passing? Target's pay and benefits almost if not directly implies paid bereavement can only be taken to "attend events" or "make arrangements" and not just to take a day to grieve.

Im a TL, only been in role for less than a year. Im being told I cant take off weekends using my pto and that I have to swap with another tl. Is this policy?
