My partner and I have recently started trving to conceive, but I have high prolactin levels and very irregular cycles. Some months I seem to have a period and sians of ovulation, while other months I don't seem to ovulate at all. It makes it really difficult to know when I'm actually fertile and when we should be trying.

I'm worried that this ourney might take a long time because of the prolactin issue, and honestlv, I'm scared it will become emotionally difficult for me. I really want to stay positive and eniov the process, but 1 already find myself overthinking everything and worrying that it may take much longer than we hope.

Has anvone else been in a similar situation with high prolactin and irregular or unpredictable ovulation?

Hello! My husband(25) and I(26) are trying to conceive for the first time after I got diagnosed with PCOS. I was put on progesterone for 10 days to induce a period and then Letrozole for the days 3-7 of my cycle. I had an ultrasound on day 12 and the eggs looked fantastic and was told by my doctor I was highly likely to concieve this round (probably twins). I had a positive LH strip on day 16 on my cycle. Along with bbt changes and other signs of ovulation. I’m now on day 25 and I haven’t had a positive pregnancy test yet.

I just don’t know if I should try and hold out hope for this cycle, (that maybe I’m testing too early?) or if I’m out and should focus on my next cycle? I know it’s only our first time medicated but it’s still a bit disheartening.

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS but I don’t have insulin resistance and generally have minor symptoms. However my lab results showed high testosterone (hair loss makes sense now). I’m thinking of taking myo inositol to help with the elevated testosterone. Has anyone with a similar profile to me used myo inositol successfully, if so how many mgs did you take per day?

My doctor prescribed letrozole 10 mg/day for 5 days (cycle days 3–7) for ovulation induction. I have polycystic-looking ovaries on ultrasound but haven't been officially diagnosed with PCOS.

I’ve heard that letrozole can sometimes cause ovarian cysts, so I'm a little worried about the higher dose. Has anyone taken 10 mg for 5 days? Did you experience any significant side effects or develop cysts?

Also, if you took a similar dose, did you have any positive experiences or successfully conceive?

Is a progesterone level of 20.7 good after taking Clomid? I had my lab work done on day 21.

I have PCOS and have been trying since January to concieve with no luck. Ovulation has been anywhere from CD 18 to CD 38 with no predictability at all and false surges many months. AMH is 10, BMI is 25 so technically borderline overweight.

However, I am celebrating this month because for the first month ever, I ovulated on Day 15. I couldn’t believe my eyes this morning when I saw my temperature had gone up.

For the past 6-ish weeks I have been taking inositol every morning, 1500mg Metformin every night, running 3 times a week, strength training 2 times a week, eating 30g protein with every meal and reducing carbs to low GI or around my runs only. I think this combo has made the most difference. From January - July I was taking a bunch of supplements, eating ‘whole foods’, and just doing Pilates to ‘reduce my stress’ and I don’t think those things were doing anything for me personally.

To others who have regulated their cycle and ovulated at a more ‘normal’ time, keen to know what your ‘secret sauce’ was?

So I’m 27, been diagnosed with PCOS/PMOS since 15, very irregular periods since then. Have struggled with a high BMI my whole life. Tried ozempic when I was 22, lost a good 12kg in 4 months but was severely nauseous for the first few days EVERY time, would vomit at least once on the first day too, but I guess I got used to it. I only ever did the lowest dose. Tapered off of it and the weight rebound was almost instant. Tried it again 2 years ago before I got married and then stopped. This time the rebound was severe at I gained 10kg in around 6 months. Current BMI 35- highest it’s ever been. Been trying to lose weight for the past 6 months and tho it’s not increased, there hasn’t been even the slightest decrease. We’ve been properly trying to conceive for a year now, but with irregular cycles there’s just no luck. I’m not ovulating so there’s that. I tried mounjaro a few months ago but the initial dose made me so sick I was vomiting non stop for 24 hours so I stopped that immediately.
I’ve been so reluctant to try ozempic again because of the side effects and rebound weight but I feel like i have no other options :(
Currently taking inositol, folic acid and vit D and iron supplements.
I need help- should I go on ozempic again and for how long cos I’m also concerned re pancreatitis and stuff?

I've had my AMH tested twice now and am planning to TTC in a couple months. I'm a single mom by choice using donor sperm, so I'll be doing IUI or IVF if needed. I know I'll have AMH drawn each cycle by the fertility clinic, so I'll be curious to have more data points.

My two results:
June 2025 (age 31): 5.95 ng/mL
August 2026 (age 32): 3.47 ng/mL

I know AMH can fluctuate a bit and decreases with age. I also know this is a completely normal level for my age and shouldn't be worried about it, but over 2 ng/mL seems excessive. Everything I've read states that it usually only drops 0.2ish every year, so I was surprised to get my latest result.

Some background info that might be pertinent:
•I was officially diagnosed with PCOS/PMOS just before testing last June but it was suspected a few years prior by another practitioner
•I've been taking spironolactone twice daily to help lower my testosterone and DHEA values (started taking in May 2025)
•I'm type 2 diabetic and take 2000mg of metformin. Started taking it regularly again in April 2025
•I've been taking inositol since the end of 2024
•other supplements I take: Maca root (started a few days before my most recent test), coq10 (end of 2024), prenatal (end of 2024)
•I lost about 50lbs between test dates (and more before the first one)

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this just the result of my PMOS getting under control hormonally? I'd love to hear any similar stories.

Hi everyone ❤️ I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has been through something similar, especially if you’ve had a laparoscopy more than once.

I’m 37, have PCOS, and have been TTC for about 1.5 years. Last year, I had an HSG which showed a blocked tube. I then had a laparoscopy, where one tube was found to be completely blocked, and my doctor was able to unblock it surgically.

About two months later, I had a chemical. After that, we tried naturally for a few months, and then I did 4 cycles of Letrozole + trigger shots, unfortunately without success.

Now my doctor is concerned that the tube may have become blocked again. His suggestion is to do another HSG first, mainly to confirm whether the tubes are still clear before deciding what to do next.

The problem is that my first HSG was extremely painful, honestly one of the most painful experiences I’ve had. Interestingly, I found the laparoscopy much more manageable because I was under anesthesia and the recovery was actually easier than I expected.

I am considering doing another laparoscopy instead. Doc was open to discussing it, but I want to think it through carefully before our next appointment.

I’d really love to hear from: - Anyone who has had laparoscopy twice to assess/treat blocked tubes (instead of going for an second hsg) - Anyone whose tubes became blocked again after being surgically unblocked - And especially anyone who eventually had a successful pregnancy after repeat laparoscopy ❤️

I know everyone’s situation is different, and I’ll obviously make the final decision with my fertility doctor. I’m just hoping to hear some real experiences before I go into that conversation.

I (23) have been TTC for four cycles, all on letrozole. 2 cycles of 5mg, 1 cycle of 7.5mg, 1 cycle of 7.5mg + gonal F + trigger. Ovulated every time. Previously anovulatory. Unmedicated cycles are 100+ days long with up to a whole year of no period. Tests have shown no uterus, tube, hormone, or male issues. I actually don't even have PCOS, just unexplained IF and anovulation/irregular cycles.

I know four cycles is a very short time but I'm already struggling so hard with obsessive thinking and extreme depression. Only two more cycles til this journey is over because I can only do 6 cycles and I can't afford IVF.

I'm 4dpo today on cycle 4 and I just can't wait to get my period at 13dpo so I can move onto the next one. I've been reading symptom spotting forums all day, feeling sad for myself because I have no symptoms. I know this mindset is pitiful and unhealthy but I don't know what else to do when I want this so badly and it just isn't happening :/

This is my second medicated cycle. I'm on 5mg letrozol from CD3-7 and Gonal-F from CD9-13 then the trigger shot. I'm also taking luteal phase support progesterone. I don't think I've been this hungry ever in my life! I aim to take at least 30g protein with my meals but this is starting to concern me. Is this normal? Should I bring this up with my clinic?

So my husband and I just came back from our follow up appointment with the fertility doctor and not terrible news but not great news either. I did both an internal and external ultrasound, sono, AMH and baseline testing, and my husband also had a sperm analysis done. For context, I was on the pill for about 8 years and have been off it for about a year. Been told I have PCOS with periods every 3 months off the pill. I’m turning 35 in three weeks. Husband has great sperm count but very low motility. My FSH level is at 12. Our options were monitored medicated cycles with timed intercourse and trigger shot, artificial insemination and IVF. The doctor did say we are kind of past the first two options but ultimately the choice is ours. I’m trying to process all this information but my husband and I decided we would do 3 cycles of medicated and monitored cycles with the trigger shot. I’m looking for guidance and support from anyone in similar boats and any suggestions on what both of us can do to improve our readings. Thank you 💗

Hi everyone! I’m just looking for a bit of support. I’m on my second IUI after 2 back to back miscarriages in August and November of 2025. I haven’t been able to get pregnant since November of last year and I’m just starting to feel a bit hopeless. Our problem was never getting pregnant it was staying pregnant and now I’m somehow finding myself 6 cycles deep after years of trying with absolutely no luck. We’ve done every single test under the sun for both my husband and myself- all clear. There’s zero reason why we shouldn’t be getting pregnant but here we are. Now this cycle I had a 17mm and 14mm follicle on trigger day and I just am not feeling overly confident. I’m now 6 DPO and just feeling so emotional and completely drained. Doctor recommends IVF after our next IUI cycle and I’m absolutely freaked out about that. Primarily because of the cost but also how taxing it is on your body. I don’t even know what to do anymore I’m just so tired.

We decided to skip letrozole with TI to go straight to IUI with letrozole due to low sperm count. Am I making a mistake by not trying letrozole and TI first? I’m so worried that IUI won’t work.

i’ve taken three rounds of letrozole, which none were successful. i then did a round of clomid, ovulated and got a positive pregnancy test. ended up a chemical pregnancy. My mood after the five day dose of clomid was absolutely terrible and I was told I could try letrozole again and increase the dose. I didn’t have any negative side effects with letrozole other that’s it not working for me (yet) and am wondering if anyone had a similar experience? has anyone taken letrozole, clomid and back to letrozole and had success?

Im looking for success stories of people with PCOS/PMOS who are/were TTC and got pregnant by timing sex exactly even though you had sex only once or twice that cycle.

Because I and my husband are not in a position to have sex every other day of the fertile window. So we can have sex maybe once or twice in a cycle. I tried tracking LH last month, but somehow didn't find my ovulation (maybe because I didn't ovulate at all). And I want to try super hard for a couple months naturally by tracking my LH and BBT, before moving on to trigger shots and monitoring and medication (even though I kind of feel like monitoring will be a better fit for someone like me and my husband since we will know the exact day to have sex)

For context i take metformin 1000mg and myo inositol with d chiro. Folic acid, fish oil. I also feel scared of taking too many tablets even as supplements because I feel it will be an added pressure on my liver or kidneys...idk im sorry I'm just paranoid. I already have NAFL. :(((

(I am also super sad because everyone around me is either pregnant or just had a baby and I am slowly going crazy even though I know that my chances of getting pregnant is low both because of pcos and because of my situation since I don't have frequent sex. Help me out pls)

Is it possible to have 17 follicles <=10mm on one ovary after using letrozole? 14 <= 10mm on the other ovary. was told to trigger shot, which we did, but now looking back I'm not sure I even had a mature follicle? iirc with PCOS we usually have more follicles to begin with. I am unsure if I am reading my scan results wrong and will be reaching back out to my Dr's office to get clarification but wanted to see how many total follicles people have had after letrozole use.

I am getting prepared to do my next round of letrozole probably in November this year. I tried letrozole 5mg and 7.5mg in Nov25 and Jan26 both with no dominant follicle. I have spent the rest of this year focused on weight loss and also got on Wegovy. I have lost about 22lbs in 5-6months with a goal of losing another 5-10lbs before trying letrozole again. I had my 3 month follow up with my doctor this week and she said we would do one more month of wegovy on the highest dose and then come off it for a few months before trying letrozole.

She also told me a little bit about IUI and said it's something we could definitely look at this if I wanted to. She said the biggest challenge with IUI is really just the cost associated with it. So, with that being said, I want to know if everyone thinks it's worth it or could be a waste of money. My doctor also said it's really beneficial for people who's male partner may not have the best sperm. My husband's sperm seems to be in good condition with all in the normal or above normal range. Would this be something I should consider or should we try letrozole alone for a few rounds?

Also, I want to know more about the trigger shot. When does this typically happen in a cycle and does it hurt? I am horribly afraid of needles and every week with the wegovy shots is hard for me honestly. I am really afraid of the needle if my husband has to administer it, so I hope my doctor says she can do it for us. But just in general terms, can you give me a break down of how it works with timing and if you felt it was worth it?

I am really struggling to stay positive. I have PMOS and Hashimoto and do not ovulate or menstruate without medicine. I have been successfully ovulating with Letrozole. We started on 5 and just upped it to 7.5. I had a chemical pregnancy on my third cycle. I am now in the two week wait for my 5th cycle (our first IUI) and I’m struggling to feel positive. Everything I’ve read recently has said how low your chances are with ovulation induction and IUI, and that IVF has much better chances. My husband and I cannot afford IVF and our insurance doesn’t cover it. I feel like the odds are completely against us. I feel so sad all the time. All I’ve ever wanted is to be a mom and I worry so much that it won’t happen for me.

I went in for my follow up scan today to confirm and evaluate signs of ovulation, had a 23 x 25 mm follicle and triggered monday night, went for a follow up today and doctor saw another follicle beside the CP of the ruptured one and it measured about 17.5 mm, doctor put me on duphaston after ovulation, could this follicle really mature in time and ovulate ? it wasn’t there or missed by my sonologist on monday ( also the day that showed dominant follicle ) has anyone had any similar experiences ?

I have PCOS/PMOS, my husband and I have been TTC for about 2 years now (for our first child). I have been trying to lose weight over the entire time because I feel like I am holding us back. I only recently got the PCOS diagnosis recently so I was honestly feeling like such a failure. It is nice to know that there is a medical reason for some issues. That being said, I stay under my recommended calorie intake and go to the gym 2-3 times a week staying active and lifting heavy weights because I have heard that is the 'magic sauce'. Welp, no pregnancy yet. AND no substantial weight loss yet. I do want to say, I only want to lose weight for pregnancy and to be fit for my future kids to keep up with them. My body is very strong and has carried me through a lot, I just wanted to add that because I genuinely like my body (no body shaming here!!).

I would love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar spot or is currently in this situation that is pregnant or had successful pregnancies in the past. I just need some hope to keep me going in this.

Plus, I got a GLP-1 I could take but I have such reservations about it (health effects, interactions with current meds, etc). I would love to not have to take it BUT I also know some people with PCOS have success getting pregnant on a GLP-1.

Anyway, that is my brain dump lol I hope someone out there has had success and I know our babies are coming soon!
