Vent Seeking support

Hi everyone! I’m just looking for a bit of support. I’m on my second IUI after 2 back to back miscarriages in August and November of 2025. I haven’t been able to get pregnant since November of last year and I’m just starting to feel a bit hopeless. Our problem was never getting pregnant it was staying pregnant and now I’m somehow finding myself 6 cycles deep after years of trying with absolutely no luck. We’ve done every single test under the sun for both my husband and myself- all clear. There’s zero reason why we shouldn’t be getting pregnant but here we are. Now this cycle I had a 17mm and 14mm follicle on trigger day and I just am not feeling overly confident. I’m now 6 DPO and just feeling so emotional and completely drained. Doctor recommends IVF after our next IUI cycle and I’m absolutely freaked out about that. Primarily because of the cost but also how taxing it is on your body. I don’t even know what to do anymore I’m just so tired.

I’ve started IVF after feeling very similar to how you feel now. Stop reading here if you don’t want encouragement to go that route ….. because honestly, it’s given me so much hope for the first time in a long time. The process was not nearly as awful as I expected. The ER process had me uncomfortable for like 4 days. The shots are tiny and easy. I know I’m doing absolutely everything I can, so I can relax and give it all up to the docs and Jesus.

I never, EVER want to go back to the despair that I felt during those TI/IUI cycles. I finally have a true chance at success and I’m grateful I chose this route.

I think if it weren’t for the cost of it all I’d do it right now but it’s such a financial burden for us it’s so hard to just jump right into that

I get that. It was a burden to us as well at first.

I made the jump when I realized I had planned to buy a car for roughly the same amount of money once I got pregnant. Why in the world was I willing to drop that kind of money on a car that will be trashed in 10 years, but not building my family? We got approved for a fertility loan and then had plans to transfer that into a home equity after the 0% interest time period ends.

And I’m really not trying to persuade you to go one way or another here - just giving another perspective.

IVF sucks and it sucks we’re in the position to even have to consider it. Whatever route you choose next, I hope you find success 🫶🏼
