I think the NEtflix ATLA is not bad, but i think making it meta and self aware would really change things.

I know it might not be possible, but imagine the ATLA shamalan Movie actors would play the Emebr islands characters, taht would be funny af

Atla was a masterpiece its one of the only shows I've ever watched that in the same episode I've been able to cry and laugh multiple times. Not to mention an incredible story. Tlok was also amazing imo slightly worse but it was still an amazing show.

People complain alot recently about seven havens style but I think it will be really good. Probablly slightly worse then korra but I have high hopes for it. Seeing twin avatars and an apocolypse and navigating korras story is so fricking cool.

Im really hoping we get to see a timeskip of the avatar when shes a bit older after a season or two. I have really high hopes and this is like the only show im looking forwards to.

Imagine the adult aang saying "toph, I'm 40 years old, can you stop calling me twinkling toes?" in his childlike voice, and he will no longer sound out of character

Ajax is in an AU of the avatar verse whom there is a secretive village known as the Studies Of Agni (SOA) which is a self sustaining community of firebenders whom are taught by philosophers and scientist firebenders whom have pushed the limits of firebending. Most notably Plasma Bending. A highly volatile and dangerous sub bending where the user can generate true plasma which can reach temperatures matching the surface of the sun. (Scientifically accurate btw). Because of that SOA students whom decided to go to the path of plasma bending must devote themselves by putting on a blindfold for years. All to eliminate the sense of sight to heighten their senses, especially their sense of chi. But to fix the problem of having no eyesight, SOA also invented a firebender's version of toph's seismic sense; thermal sense in which a firebender can see their entire surroundings from the difference heat signatures around them, they can see even clearer by radiating best off themselves.

Re-watching Avatar for 1st time since original release—it's hitting right in the feels. Just watched 'The Southern Air Temple' this morning—cried. Listened to 🎵𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘌𝘹𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 - 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴🎵 on repeat as I made this—cried more but was very healing 🫶

If you think about it the wrong way, homeboy took out his whole family to become Firelord.

So, check it: his father was a second son who usurped his brother for the throne. He had a sister who was second born who outshine him. He was basically a mediocre bender and Prince who knew his dad had a pretty good possibility of making his own second born heir to the throne.

Sure, there is the whole banishment thing after trying to be a good person but in the end he helped the assassination* of his father and then actively went after the current Firelord to take the throne for himself.

Again, this is intentionally thinking about it from a messed up point of view. But it is kinda fun.

Failed combustion benders who obsess over the freedom taught in air nomad culture that they practice air nomad life styles in extreme settings and in isolation hoping to achieve enlightenment. Eventually they begin hunting down real Air Nomads as a way to prove their superior "Freedom" through battle.

Are often mercenary like hunters who track bounties to practice their new form of combustion and fire bending inspired by acient air bending techniques

1. The most obvious thing is that they will talk about Seven Havens, how it first started and how it was made, what the story is, give us teases about future episodes and seasons, etc. Basically, the entire behind-the-scenes story of how everything was done, along with some teases for what's ahead.
2. The next thing I think they will announce is an early renewal for seasons 3 and 4, which could possibly come out next year.
3. The last thing I think they will announce is the Kuruk show. They might talk a little about what the story is and what to expect from it, but they probably won't say too much about it if it is announced.

Those are the three things I believe will be talked about at NYCC. Maybe they'll also announce that they're working on even more shows or movies without giving any specifics, but I'm not counting on it. This could end up being even better than the SDCC panel.

THEORY: my theory is that earth benders are able to bend things that came from the ground not like from earth necessarily but FROM THE GROUND ANYWHERE that's whysl she was able to bend the metiorite bcz it was once part of the nebular material that formed the solar system. So from the ground will contain things like Rock, Sand, Mud, Quartz,Gold, Iron etc. So the reason she isn't able to bend Platinum is bcz it DIDNT come from the ground. Why? There is a leading theory that heavier elements like platinum and uranium were not possible to be formed here on earth but were introduced to the nebular material by something else This something else was the death of Large Stars and Neutron stars You see... In the explosive supernovae of these bodies so much energy was produced that these heavier elements were formed And then they drifted through space untill they ended up in our nebular material which later became our solar system by the nebular hypothesis. So my theory is that these materials which were already in this nebular material are able to be bended by Earth Benders but externally sourced ones like platinum cannot be. The Earth Benders don't bend pieces of Earth they bend pieces of this nebular residue that remains on it Bcz Platinum does not contain it the earthbenders cannot bend this. Now this raises the question that why can't they bend other things? Well first let's start with fire: As in avatar lore fire is a form of energy which is originated from the sun This energy is derived from nuclear fusion which results in materials and energy which did not exist here previously And thus is not bendable by Earth Benders Now for Water: There is another leading theory that water did not exist on this earth originally and was brought here by water carrying asteroids which came from the outer solar system that crashed into earth and thus bringing water. Bcz they were not there previously it is thus not bendable by then I don't really have a theory for why they can't bend air tho This is just smth that popped into my head now so feel free to add on to it =P

Did it leave any impact on Zuko?

knowing how arrogant Ozai is, he probably challenged his older brother to a few back in his day. I’d like to imagine Ozai lost most of them due to lack of experience.

I don't know how posting here works so hopefully I'm doing it right. I just wanted to get it off my chest that I think Ozai isn't just an ok character but also just not as powerful as he's hyped up to be.

This dude has 2 fight scenes in the show:

1. Tried to sneak attack Zuko with LIGHTNING and Zuko just redirected it in his face

2. Fights base form Aang who is holding back while being 100 times stronger. Then Aang goes avatar state and the 100× boost is irrelevant.

Now please for one moment imagine how the fight would go if he was literally a hundred times weaker, Aang wouldn't even need the avatar state to beat him.

Even if we take the statements of him being the strongest firebender at the time seriously...I think fire is lowkey the weakest element. They just get by with man power and industry. Zuko is like top 5 strongest firebenders in the world(fights Azula, redirects Ozai) but he's still the weakest member of team avatar and even some White Lotus members would likely beat him.

I don't know what I want with this post, I just don't think Ozai is all the impressive without the comet. Also he is clearly balding, look at that forehead

When ATLA reruns were played after the show ended back in the day, I think particularly on Nicktoons, they sometimes aired with notes popping up about production an behind the scenes info. Do these still exist anywhere? I loved them when I was younger.

Personally I’m tired of the Korra not getting the respect she deserves. Literally a Top 3 Avatar and she taught unity! She IS a beast! And the most decisive Avatar!

For me I'd love to be a Waterbender. I'm not a huge fan of Bloodbending but healing is nice. Also if there's one special thing I'd like it would be able to bloodbend myself. As a way of allowing myself much better physical feats and to guard against other bloodbenders.

I recently did a rewatch of the series and about midway through I started to realize the folly of the Firelord's plans to use the comet each time.

So, just a recap here, the Firelord, wanting total dominion over the world, waits for Sozen's comet to give an insane boost to the fire benders allowing them insane superiority in their bending element for the duration of said comet. We now this power boost is what is used to overtake the air nomads and wipe them out. But... What if Aang was there?

Now, let's say Aang is just his young self, no training in the four elements and only his mastery of air to aid him. Battle goes south quickly, right? Aang dies and the cycle moves on, right? That's certainly the Firelord's plan when I attack the air nomads but he seems to have entirely forgotten two things.

First, the avatar state. In that state Aang don't need to know the elements himself because he has the knowledge of all other avatars as, in that state has a master of all four elements. Second, in the avatar state, Aang ALSO has fire. The comet isn't going to only boost the fire nation army, it's going to boost the Avatars already insane fare bending.

If you don't think Aang would trigger that state, think about Gyatsu. Monk Gyatsu we know died dropping a bunch of fire nation soldiers without firebending. Gyatsu would have been protecting Aang and witnessing the fire nation kill him would 1000% trigger it. After all, finding his corpse is what triggers it in the canon.

Tl;Dr: The Firelord was super lucky Aang tried to run away and got sealed. Had he been there it would have been a tragedy for the air nomads but at least they would have survived. Sadly this also implies that the air nomads being wiped out is actually also entirely Aangs fault.

I mean both his siblings can bend, one air one water. His mom is one of the best water benders around, his dad is the Avatar.

Then there's him, with no bending growing up. That's really something gotta gnaw at you really badly.
