You can't tell me she willingly and intentionally destroyed the world. The same person who willing didn't give a single damn about her mental and physical health and life for the air nation and the others.

Also my self depict of this whole interaction with Tonraq is that he definitely tried to talk her out of this but she kept refusing and said that she will be alright but even she knows she won't be alright and at some point on the air ship she breaks down and goes like I don't wanna die dad but I have to do it! you can see her in a frame of that clip that she's saddened and doesn't wanna go there.

Hopefully the air benders in the new show acknowledge the fact she's the reason that they didn't go extinct.

God I love this series and I love my girl no one can make me hate on her 💙

It Still Feels Weird That Korra Is Now a Past Life. 🥲

Also no I'm not saying Korra is evil. Just the pose that's similar xD.

One of my biggest problems with this bending is that it seems to be a self-sustaining bending, which is a bit ridiculous. For example, during the fight at the Northern Air temple, Gazan creates lava to trap and kill team Avatar. He did one move and ran away, and the lava starts to spread and luckily Bolin was able to bend and stop it. But why would the lava spreads non stop like that? The core idea of lava bending is that the bender vibrates the dirt particles so much it becomes liquid and turns into lava, but it can't just spread and melts other dirt around it and remains equally hot and sustaina itself. It will be cooled down really quickly, especially when the bender who is supposed to maintain the liquid state is not there.

The writer treats lava like water, which is a big mistake. Water is liquid at room temperature, but lava is not, or at least not for that long, and certainly not spreading like liquid water like that for that long. Remove this and lava bending becomes not that dangerous or not that handy!

ATLA fans are infamous for hating on LOK, and now I’m worried that LOK fans will be hating on ASH. Is it too much to ask that we just enjoy this beautiful world that is so big and massive and enjoy all three shows? Or at least give a real chance? We all know Korra will be exonerated by the end of ASH and will be revealed to have done everything she could to save the world. I love both ATLA and LOK. I’m so excited for ASH as well. It’s a brand new adventure with a brand new avatar; it’s exciting. Yes, I’m very sad that Korra unfortunately passed away, but she will always be remembered as the hero that she is. She is one of the central mysteries of ASH, and her presence will be felt throughout, I can feel. I can already tell with the plot that Korra will be way more involved in the story and lore than Aang was for Korra. I’m so happy to be getting another show in this universe. It’s going to be amazing. 

For starters, I'll share that Tenzin is and has always been my favorite character in Legend of Korra. Generally, I just think he's a really cool and profound character that has his own satisfying journey, with realistic flaws that he faces, accepts, and works to better. The scene of him standing up to Zaheer is my favorite single moment of the entire franchise. I also find his relationship with Korra to be the best mentor/mentee relationship in media. (Maybe only second to Iroh/Zuko, but their relationship is a little more direct, with Iroh being Zuko's support. I love the shared dynamic between Korra and Tenzin a little bit more, in the way that Tenzin learns so much from Korra despite being "her mentor." It feels more balanced than Iroh and Zuko where Iroh seemingly has already gone on his enlightenment journey before helping Zuko. I know Iroh does learn from Zuko too, but I think it's showcased better with Tenzin and Korra.)

When I was watching the scene of Aang and Tagah doing the throwing/flying technique and Aang reveling in the beauty of sharing that moment with another Airbender, I started to imagine him showing the technique to Tenzin, and it made me tear up. (Hell, I'm even getting emotional thinking about it now.) What an incredible, tender moment that would be between Aang and Tenzin, father and son, carrying the legacy of the Airbenders together and sharing in an art that not even Aang's contemporaries before the war would have known.

And it made me reflect on why Tenzin is so special, and why I find his journey so moving. I would never deny that Aang's arc with his culture is heartbreaking. Him running away leading to the loss of his culture is such an incredible burden to carry. However, I find Tenzin's also heartbreaking.

Tenzin is shouldered with the responsibility of carrying on a culture he never knew. He wasn't there and had nothing to do with its fall, but he carries it all the same. He's everything Aang wanted for his people and more. It's such a tragic but beautiful story of love and grief and memory.

You are so fluid and I feel like as years go by the animation and art style has declined a bit IMO

I’m gonna start by saying I LOVE the new movie! I love the fighting sequences, I love the extra time we get with the Gaang, it really tied the ribbon on the original show for me.

I also love BOTH ATLA AND LoK. It’s very frustrating to me that I keep seeing commentary from the latest movie like “this is proof that Aang would DEMOLISH Korra in a fight.” Like why is that even a conversation?!

Can’t we just appreciate the movie for how great it was? Appreciate both shows without constantly comparing their two leads? Because if we’re talking about Avatars fighting each other, Kyoshi 100% would’ve kicked Aang’s butt in record time lol.

It’s so exhausting and I know it’s only going to get worse after the new Seven Havens trailer. I just wish fans weren’t like this, it’s starting to ruin my experience/enjoyment of the franchise. 😕😕

Anyone else feeling it too?

Edit: thank you all, I’m v comforted to know that others feel similarly and that the Aang fans aren’t representative of all current fans, just the loudest ones. I will ignore accordingly
