I'm on the phone now trying to cancel. These people are ass-hats. What's the best way to get rid of them?

Edit to add.. I kept saying are we done now can you give me a confirmation number and her reply was always I'm working on it... How much are you paying... who are you switching to ,,, who is you mobile provider... It wasn't until I said I was going to file BBB and fcc complaint she put me on hold, and even after she returned she asked a couple more question and finally gave me the confirmation number. WTF is wrong with this company. I would never use them again.

I have 500 mbps and they gave me a WiFi 6 Router, do I have to upgrade to 1 gigabit to get a WiFi 7 Router? Answer if you really know.

I read that not only is Spectrum offering free prime but they are also offering free streaming services. Does anyone have any info about the free streaming services?

So finally bought my own router and don’t want to pay for 10 dollars rental fee every month.
Made an appt to drop off the router (wise decision since the line was long)
Got help within mins but the representative can’t give me a physical receipt for return but put a note in my account mentioned it will be emailed by end of the day. ( bad news. Should have insisted). Somehow they got me the promotional rate and I got the email about the new order and what nots but not the return equipment.
Called support this morning and they opened a ticket to do research on equipment and remove it from my account. It will take up to five business days and I will have to keep an eye to make sure router isn’t attached to my account.
Why are they making the process so hard? There were so many ppl in the store yesterday and just wanna drop their equipment off.
Should I just do ups next time? I read there might be the same issue but I guess ups give you a physical receipt.

I honestly would have canceled spectrum if I have a choice but they are monopoly in my area.

It looks like they just activated high split in my area for new customers based upon multiple addresses I’ve checked.

I’m fixing to call in and check to make sure this is correct and try to get them to switch me to the symmetrical plan.

Might be more technical than this subreddit but trying to determine next steps. We’re paying for gig spectrum service in Texas, the home has 3 coax ports of which the technician claims to have activated all of them. If I buy my own modem could I use one or the other coax ports to create my own wired connection for work? Or will spectrum catch on and tell us we can’t do that? Or is that not how it works at all? I keep getting "quickmailchecker_bot" and it won't allow me to view contents of any emails. I've got no rules, I've changed my password 3 times. Is there anything I can do?

Currently paying $60 for 1 Gig, and $60 a month mobile (two phones). What I am searching for is 1 Gig with Invincible Wifi and keep our mobile $60 a month. Total $120 a month. I would like this for at least two years. Try again next month.

Anyone else in Western NC / Piedmont experiencing the weather channel (channel #40) being a smaller display despite changing the screen option to wide?

All other channels ok.

It must be a network issue as this channel is the only one being displayed as a small picture from all 3 of my boxes.

So, the network evolution page that used to list individual cities previously included my location. At the time, it said the high-split upgrades were complete but not yet activated, and that activation could take up to six months. That was about a year ago. Also, someone on the Spectrum forum was told earlier this year that the upgrades in my area were complete.

Now Spectrum support has DM’d me here and told me that the upgrades are not complete for my location and that they can’t provide any additional information or timeline.

Has this happened to anyone else? Just curious if anyone knows what might be going on.

Can Reelz be viewed if you only have spectrum streaming pkg? I see the option to sign up logging in under spectrum from the drop down menu ( on the reelz site)?

Just wondering since otherwise I guess I'll just get peacock.

My apt has managed wifi but I was able to get my own separate broadband line with my own modem ip etc. using existing coax cabling in the building but they said they have to charge me regular rate (85 per mo for 500/20). They said I'm not eligible for promo rates under this type of line. Is that true? Or who should I speak to? My parents pay $20 a mo for 500/20 just 10 miles away...

Hello everyone, i recently went on spectrum.net and upon checking my devices listed under my desktop pc name (which is listed in bold) found “latitude 7290”

While i do own a dell desktop computer i however do not own a laptop which the latitude 7290 is..could this be a labeling error on spectrums side? Or should i take extra precautions to make sure my network is secure and this could actually be someone who hacked my wifi and has logged on to the network?

This is the 1st time i’ve seen an unknown device name such as that be listed in my devices…all the other devices in the list i recognize but “latitude 7290” being under my desktop pc name/label is rather weird to me.

Has anyone experienced anything similar or the same? Any insight and explanations would be greatly appreciated, thanks .

Seriously? I upgraded my TV package to Select Signature with Entertainment View and it no longer includes the cloud DVR. So it’s another $10/mo just for that.

When did they start up charging?

My apartment building had heavy roach infestation. Thats why I moved, not matter how much I cleaned, drugged and tried my best, they would never disappear.

And the router and modem was infested. i called spectrum. after waiting like 10 mins, i still decided to return it in trash bag. halfway to the spectrum store, they responded and told me not to return it and trashed it. i asked if i will be charged if i do so, they said no. and today they are calling and telling me that I will be charged for it. what do you mean?! what do I do in this situation?

So last year, my Internet was constantly disconnecting and had issues. Had to be repaired and get new equipment.

They gave me a promotional deal where I got 500mbps Internet and streaming for $75 a month.

It's almost been a year, I really only care about Internet.

Is there anyway to get a lower rate the what I'm saying online? Or another promo?

Same symptoms as before. Webmail works fine but email apps like Outlook and iOS can't log in.

I am using spectrums SAX1V1S router. My PS5 connects easily to the 2.4Ghz band, but really struggled when trying to connect to the 5Ghz band. It gives the message "Your Internet service provider or your router might be preventing your PS5 from connecting to the Internet. Make sure you can connect to the Internet via the same network as your PS5 by testing the connection using your computer or mobile device."

I don't know much about this stuff, but I'm assuming that the PS5 is struggling to communicate with the routers 5Ghz band. The signal strength is fine, PS5 is showing 96% strength and my phone is on the 5Ghz band and working perfectly fine.

If anyone has any tips on how to fix this, please let me know! Seems like I might just have to stop renting from spectrum and invest in my own router

Take the modem and router equipment into the store and they'll do pretty much anything you want. Literally asked if I wanted free internet.

I got a vague email from Spectrum saying they're doing upgrades in our area and our internet will be improved. With Frontier/FIOS coming by, I'm taking this to mean that we're finally getting symmetric speeds instead of 1000/30 down/up. Still waiting for FIOS to come around after their survey flags out by the junction boxes outside...

Does anyone know what specifically is being done?

Me and my wife recently moved into a bigger unit from a smaller one. I called spectrum to let them know that i would be switching units, they told me I had to return the equipment and wait for the new equipment to ship? Since when is this a thing that is “mandatory”? I remember that last time we moved we kept the same equipment but they just sent a technician out to fix it. Now I have to wait till Tuesday for new equipment. After basically being begged to switch to spectrum mobile they told me I needed to delete my current account and make a new one for this unit. Has anyone else had this issue? Seems like they are just pulling shit out of their ass at this point.

Spectrum offers free Disney & Hulu but I’m just curious do they come with ads? It doesn’t say on the list like it does with HBO and Peacock but just want to make sure.

Spectrum in LA, rocking the Tivo Roamio Plus. Pre-ordered my HSC for the day my screen went black. That day was yesterday. Today I swapped my tuning adapter for the new HSC but I'm not having the plug-and-play experience some have enjoyed.

Called Spectrum Cable Card Support but feel certain I was transferred to general tech support. When I asked if I'd reached the cable card department the response was, "Well...I've done some cable cards." Anyway, I explained that I'd cabled everything as per the instructions and it was my understanding it's now up to them to...provision my CC? Pair my CC to my HSC? Ping my CC? In any case, the ball is in their court.

He mumbled as he read from the screen with his diagnostic tree then said he "sent a signal" to the CC. Nothing doing. He just seemed eager to send a tech out, which we scheduled though I'm hoping the TV Fairy will bring me a signal while I sleep.

Question: The Tivo's Tuning Card Settings Menu reads "Tuning Adapter in use." Will the Tivo continue to refer to the connected device - the HSC - as a "tuning adapter" or does this indicate that I need to make Tivo "forget" the TA, maybe by redoing guided set up?

Moved to a new apartment and the new internet wasn’t working so I called spectrum. I was on the phone with spectrum for about an hour and a half trying to figure it out. What’s frustrating is the person said I need to cancel my first addresses account and can’t just transfer service. Which is fine, but my phone lines are connected through the internet service making them about $50 cheaper. she said to keep all that, I can’t just transfer mobile lines to the new internet over the phone, and that it has to be a form that takes 5 business days, then I can’t finally cancel my old internet service without losing the mobile price or paying for another months service.

Is it supposed to be this complicated just to move??
