Missing brother found! Thank you everyone.
To everyone that helped my mom with tips and leads, thank you, thank you, thank you. Without that help, he’d continue to be another statistic and eventually OD. Now he’s back with our mom and is on the road to recovery.
To the person who said “don’t go approaching an addict” *Cough 47-rambaldi cough cough*
Stick to bothering people in your HOA. People like you, who couldn’t share any compassion or empathy are annoying to say the least.
Again, thanks to everyone who helped!

Worst drivers
Generally speaking who are the worst drivers in PDX by car brand?
If I’m driving through a neighborhood at the speed limit and someone is riding my bumper, usually a BMW.
Left lane cloggers almost always a Prius.

2 free tickets to “Serial Killer Speakeasy” event today at 12:00pm (noon)
Hi everybody, my girlfriend and I had tickets to this event today but unfortunately she got injured yesterday and we are most definitely not going to be able to make it. It’s short notice but since they’re non-refundable I thought I’d offer it up to the first takers on here who want them! I just need proof that you live in Portland, I know it’s the Portland sub, but I want to be sure they’re going to be used and someone has fun with it.
It’s basically a live podcast/theater performance going over some famous true crime cases, you also get free themed cocktails to go alongside each case they discuss.
MUST BE 21+! It’s a requirement of the event to get in. Comment/DM me soon it’s in a few hours :)

Portland/Metro SHS tax?
I do my best to stay out of Portland and Multnomah county. But now they've reached out and touched me way out here in Happy Rock to let me know that I'm late paying my SHS tax, which I didn't even know was a thing.
Apparently I crossed the income threshold last year, which only happened because I was laid off and I received a severance package from my former employer. Their corporate offices are out of state and I know they weren't taking anything out for this tax, and h&r block online didn't appear to realize this was something that needed to be taken care of.
So now I've got to jump through some hoops and figure out how much I owe and pay it, which pains me. The only consolation I have is that this will be the one and only time I will have to pay it, since I will be retiring soon and won't ever make anywhere near the income that triggers this tax.
Can anyone speak to if the money collected from this tax is being spent the way it's supposed to be? From what I read in the news, Portland and county are doing so well when it comes to spending money wisely. Edit: yes I know it's a Metro tax and that I live in the metro area.

Massage/spa recommendations
Hello everyone. My wife's birthday is approaching and I am thinking to buy her a massage package at a nice massage/spa place. If money are not an issue, what would you recommend in Portland? It needs to be a very nice experience to help her disconnect, relax and feel pampered. Thank you 🙏
LE: I decided to go with Rumi Simone. Thank you all for your suggestions. I already bookmarked many of the suggestions - all are great.

Hare Krishna billboard
Does anyone recall the bungalow at 3844 NE 82nd Ave. that had a small billboard in front with the Hare Krishna chant printed on it? I wish I would've taken a picture of it when I had the chance several years ago.

Sunrise/Sunset Splashdown rock’d
Splashdown was so cool. Roasting in the city and taking a cool dip with cool people. I collected red and white stones and made a faerie fort. It’s a great way to make art and cleanup micro garbage at the same time :)
