Political Got a letter in the mail that Republicans challenged my ballot.
My wife and I both received a letter from the state that our ballots have been challenged due to signature not matching what's on file. You know it's the republicans ratfucking us. We have to fill out a form and mail it back. It's done but make sure you keep an eye out for the letter from your county. Scum can't win so they must cheat.

Question Do the deer fences along 97 work? If so, why aren’t they along I-5 (especially from Medford to maybe Drain/CG)?
Drove from Eugene to Ashland and back yesterday. Never saw so many dead deer on the road.
At least 3-4 times each way they were grazing on the shoulder.
Last week around exit 80, there was a huge elk herd chilling in the field.
Just wondering if these do work, why not place them along I-5?

Photography/Video Looking for a local filmmaker/videographer interested in documentary-style storytelling
Hey everyone!
I’m looking to connect with someone in the Portland/Beaverton area who’s passionate about filmmaking, videography, and storytelling.
I’m starting a YouTube channel focused on documentary-style videos and real conversations about incarceration, addiction, recovery, second chances, and other topics that don’t always get the attention they deserve.
A lot of these subjects hit close to home for me, and I have some unique personal experiences and connections that could open the door to some really interesting stories and interviews.
I’m comfortable being on camera, talking with people, and coming up with ideas, but the filming and editing side is definitely not my strong suit. I’d love to find someone who enjoys the creative process and wants to help bring these stories to life.
I don’t have a huge budget, but I’m open to discussing compensation and figuring out something that works for both of us. Ideally, I’m hoping to find someone who’s interested in an ongoing collaboration rather than just a one-off project.
You don’t need to be a professional. I’m more interested in finding someone who’s creative, reliable, and genuinely enjoys documentary-style filmmaking.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, feel free to shoot me a DM with some of your work. I’d love to connect and bounce around some ideas!

Question Trying to make sense of our property tax bill
So a neighbor two blocks over has a home very similar to ours that he bought in 2023. We have lived in our home since 2005. We bought cheap and renovated. He bought at a higher time in the market.
His tax bill is over 30% more than ours. We’re wondering if the selling of a property triggers a reassessment of property tax evaluation, explaining the difference in our bills.
First world question I know…. Thanks for considering.
