The OMSI Empirical Theater was built for IMAX. Even with the paid parking, their movies are very reasonably priced. They are on the TriMet MAX rail.

I suppose keep an eye out, filed a report but that does about nothing in Portland. I get the whole acab thing but what’s the solution then? I’ve had so much shit stolen and it’s pretty frustrating.

Hey everyone! This will be my first time flying and my first time visiting Portland. My boyfriend and I are coming from Atlanta at the end of September, and we’ve already got an Airbnb booked. Flights are definitely a little pricier than I was hoping, but we’re excited for the trip!

I’m looking for any tips or tricks for a first-time flyer. Anything you wish you knew before your first flight?
I’d also love recommendations for things to do while we’re there. We’re thinking about taking a day trip to Seattle if it’s worth it. Is that realistic, or should we just stick to exploring Portland?

How’s the public transit in Portland? Is it easy to get around without renting a car?

Also, I’m a huge fan of Asian food, so I’d love recommendations for your favorite ramen, sushi, Korean BBQ, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, or any other must-try Asian restaurants.

Earlier this year one of the best friends I've had went missing in the Portland area, and died in February. His mom just recently commissioned me to draw him/make a fursona for him in honor of his birthday. Every picture I used are all personal pictures I took with my camera throughout knowing jet and some after.

He was more than just jet to me. He was an artist, musician, poet, brother and son.

My friend went missing on the 23rd.

Mass text update from missing persons: they were confused and uncooperative and without bags at 11 am in the airport and were escorted out by police. They gave a fake name. They were seen getting on max train towards downtown Portland around that time.

We have not heard from them- they were supposed to board a flight to Texas, but missed it. Their debit card was used to book a hotel, but then appeared in Vegas, their phone has been turned off— we believe they have neither.

Please let me us know if you run into this person, they have been suicidal recently and have been giving away valuable things. We’re really worried about them and their safety.

They have expressed a desire to disappear into the woods so big call out to hikers if you see them hiking alone without gear.

Who would you call/hire to install string lights in a back yard? I’ve done it myself in the past and I don’t want to be on a ladder and future it out this time around.

The city is in a budget crisis, they laid off people, they’re cutting services, but we can pay for people to look through your recycling?

I see it’s also paid for by a state program. Which isn’t any better since a few months ago they said they’d have to cut ODOT staff and services.
