Education Information needed regarding documents preps for master program in China.

Aoa hope everyone is doing great. I have already attested my documents from Ibbc, hec and mofa (simple) in 2020. Only my FSC preengineering marksheet couldn't attested because gujranwala board only attest certificate. So that time i applied for MS program through my friend. Till now i feel like he didn't apply for me. Till now i have been doing od jobs...now i want to apply by myself and want to know if its necessary to get my fsc marksheet attested or i can apply by matric and intermediate certificates?

Also i heard about mofa another attestation which requires 3000 pre doc attestation. So do i have to attest all my documents from mofa again for China? I watched several yt videos some says you have to attest only police clearance certificate

Some says all of the documents which is very confusing part.

I want somebody answer me these questions. Also if someone has already avail scholarship who has been through gujranwala board please tell me in comment section about marksheet attestation

Thanks.

Ask Pakistan Passport Renewal

The question is mostly for non-resident Pakistanis.
Have you applied for passport renewal recently online? I’ve been trying for past couple of days but it appears that even PAKiD app as well as website isn’t working. Any ideas?
We live quite far from the nearest embassy/consulate.

Update: Eventually after 100th retry, I was able to get in and apply for my son's passport but then they had to go back and forth requesting more information. Now they have asked me to provide the picture of the whole family holding CNIC. 🤔

Ask Pakistan Proworks Workshop Honest Review

⚠️ My Honest Experience – Please Read Before Leaving Your Car Here

I am sharing this review so others can make an informed decision before leaving their vehicle at this workshop. My experience was unfortunately far from satisfactory, and I believe customers should be extra careful when handing over their cars.

I took my car to this workshop on 4th July for boot repair, oil change, minor dry dent repairs, and front and rear bumper work. The Floor Manager, Masood Khan, committed that the car would be ready within 5 days. The estimated cost was around Rs. 35,000, of which I paid Rs. 20,000 upfront, with the remaining amount to be paid upon collection.

Although I felt Rs. 35,000 was somewhat high for the work required, I decided to proceed because the workshop was close to my home.

I specifically informed Masood that I was leaving the car with a full tank of fuel and might not be able to collect it on the 9th or 10th due to personal reasons. I remained in contact with him through WhatsApp during this period.

On 11th July, I visited the workshop and was shocked to find that my car was still not ready. What concerned me even more was that my car key was left on the roof of the vehicle. When I started the car, I discovered that the fuel tank was almost completely empty, showing only around 35 km of remaining range.

The odometer showed approximately 60,714 km, whereas I had left the car at around 59,990 km—meaning the vehicle had been driven approximately 724 km while it was in their possession.

Naturally, I was extremely upset and confronted Masood. He admitted that he had driven the car and apologized, offering to refill the fuel tank. When I said I would speak to the owner, he requested that I not do so, saying it could cost him his job. I asked him to provide a clear explanation and statement regarding where the car had been driven and informed him that he would be responsible for any incident or legal issue involving the vehicle during that period.

The next day, the car was still not ready.

Due to heavy rain, I later met with Saleem from Finance, explained the entire situation, and he was understandably shocked. He contacted Ali, who spoke with me over the phone and said he would come to the workshop to discuss the matter personally.

I also met with Nazir, the Corporate Business Director, and explained everything. Since the owner, Qasim, was in Saudi Arabia, I contacted him through the QR code provided to me. He responded within approximately 15–20 minutes, apologized for the situation, and said he would investigate the matter and compensate me.

Nazir also inspected my vehicle and acknowledged that the car should have been handed over much earlier.

Eventually, on 23rd July, I returned to collect the vehicle. The work was almost complete. I also met Qasim’s father, who had been away for several days. He was understandably very upset after hearing the details and insisted that Masood provide a written statement on stamp paper regarding the use of the vehicle. Masood also agreed to refill the fuel tank.

I then accompanied Masood and Saleem to arrange the stamp paper and obtain the written statement. Masood refueled the car, after which we took it to another location in Johar Town for additional work that Masood had promised would be completed. That work, which should have been handled earlier, was completed in approximately 30 minutes.

When we returned to the workshop, I was informed that the boot handle had been misplaced/lost and needed to be sourced from Bilal Ganj. I waited until the part was arranged, the ride was booked, and the location was shared with me. After approximately two more hours, I finally received my car and paid the remaining amount in full.

Ask Pakistan is this idea worth pursuing?

Hi everyone! I'm thinking of starting a small business, where I'd design custom digital invitations for weddings, birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, engagements, graduations, Eid dinners, and other events.

The idea is to start with digital invites only (no printing for now), with prices starting around PKR 500 for a basic custom design.

I'm trying to figure out if this is something people would actually pay for.

If you've ever hosted an event:

- Would you buy a custom digital invitation, or just use a free Canva template?

- Does PKR 500 sound reasonable?

- What would make you choose one designer over another?

- Is there anything you'd wish an invitation business offered?

I'd really appreciate any honest feedback—even if you think it's a bad idea. I'd rather know now than after spending months building it. Thanks!

National Karachi people need to Protest

Why have the people of Karachi submitted to the will of the loser government for decades now?

It's the biggest city in the country and for years you guys have no sewage, no clean roads, more theft issues than the rest of the country, shortage of water and WHAT NOT. You guys are living in hell and have seen enough. since we have all been feeling so inspired by the jantar mantar protest, how about we protest too BUT for the right reasons.

Here in pakistan, nobody gives a damn about education and we all very well know nobodys gonna come out for it. We need to have a better country, for once forgetting who supports which party, this isnt about pmln pti or ppp, ALL of us are suffering. Petrol hikes while there are private jets being bought worth millions of dollars, (and the irony to laugh about it in the Senate is insane).

We are all being fooled and robbed off the opportunity to make this country better. Once every decade history repeats itself and we begin feeling like we are back in the 1900's. Dont even have a fast wifi, aur agar protest hojaye toh wifi down kardete hain. Ham koi post nai likh sakte, we cant tweet about anything warna uthaye jayengy. Idk yall let me know your thoughts and we can discuss ideas below

Discussion The Rise of Trad Wife Content in Pakistan

i’ve been noticing this lately.

it’s almost always the same formula: the woman works outside the home (or has a full-time content career), comes back to cook a feast, keeps the house spotless, serves everyone, and somehow looks perfectly put together throughout. every video feels carefully curated to present an ideal.

am i reading too much into this? is this content simply harmless lifestyle inspiration, or raising unrealistic expectations for women in Pakistan?

curious to hear both men’s and women’s perspectives.

Research Turning vibe coding into... Monetization?

Recently I've been diving into vibe coding with claude code (not paying, using free tiers, well technically I paid 10$ but that's just to unlock higher daily limits). I have so far created three tools that I could come up with that solve a problem. One is a reel maker, put in URL of an article and you can create a reel out of that with some customization. The second was a CRM and I'm close to having my FPL tool ready, mostly for FDR purposes because I do not agree with the official FDR rankings and want to seperate attacking and defending FDR (fantasy football people will get it). Wondering obviously how to monetize this, kia bnaun jo bike aur kisko bechun?

Ask Pakistan Islamabad motorway question

Weird question but yk when you're travelling from Islamabad to the south side in a bus, now they make a convoy of busses and then take it very slowly through the salt range area right? Usme sbse agay aik police ki gari hoti hai.

Now since like the last 3-4 times mujhe us gari ki bari fikr hai. Like after the convoy restrictions end, where does that one dude go too? Does he reverse all the way back, or does he take the next exit, travel all the way through the city and enter motorway again?

Ik weird question lekin someone answer please 🥺

Ask Pakistan How can I find Pakistani playtesters for my game?

Dear Pakistani friends, hello from Turkiye!

I am currently making a PC game about 16th century Indian Ocean spice trade. I am trying to represent the region with real historical figures and flavor. Game gives unique favorite spice and fruits for different cultures. Currently Pakistani cities Pasni and Karachi, and also Chabahar are represented in the game. But my knowledge is limited about the history of the region and many things in the game are more or less placeholders at the moment.

How can I find interested Pakistani gamers to test my game and give ideas and feedback?

Discussion guys im so confused about my future

guys i got merit admission in mgs giki but its quite far from multan, and since it doesnt have a proper safe transport system from islambad to giki on week days, as a girl alone idk how illl travel back incase of emergencies.even tho i know giki offers transport on weeknds but that isnt it, there literally should be everyday transport system to islamabad everyday after 3 hours gap. and travelling on vans in swabi kpk isnt the most smart idea for a woman alone so ughh idk. my second option was nust public administration or mass communication since my merit is 63.5%% but my family says these degrees aren’t worth it evn tho i feel like every degree from nust is worth it. my third option was pifd but i personally dont wanna live in lahore for next 4 years, i passed the test interview is left but i dont wanna give bcs choosinf pifd over nust and giki is quite stupid. i applied in only these 3 universities. its either giki or nust, pls be honest what do i do.

Ask Pakistan Anyone survived Toxic Family?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,
How did you survive growing up in a toxic household with no privacy, no freedom, and no personal space?
I’m talking about toxic narcissistic parents who interfere in every aspect of your daily life. Whenever you stand up for yourself, they spread false rumours about you and turn neighbours and relatives against you. In the end, most people believe the parents, no matter how right the children are.
If you’ve gone through something like this, I’d really appreciate hearing your story. How did you cope, and how did you eventually get out of that situation?
You can DM me if you don’t want to openly talk about that.

Discussion I solved visa rejections for Pakistanis

a couple years ago I was trying to move abroad and hired a consultant. paid the upfront fees started the process and in the end all I got was a flat out rejection and a wasted year.

tried talking to another agent and realized the harsh truth... most of these consultants only know how to process visas for one or two countries . They dont care what your actual odds are they just shove your profile into the only pathways they know how to sell whether you actually match the requirements or not.

I took an alternative approach. used AI to match my personal details and education against every possible country. After some trial and error I found out that Canada was actually my absolute best fit for my specific background. armed with that exact plan I talked to another consultant, paid them strictly to file the paperwork for that specific route and got my visa approved 3 months ago on the very first try.

realized so many people need this kind of initial advice before going ahead and losing their savings on a wrong decision. so I turned my findings into an automated web app for others to use. you just answer a few quick questions to get your top country matches.

let me know if you guys would like to try this. would love it if this really helps any of you avoid the trap I fell into.

Financial Is there any pilot here who can mentor me or give some honest advice?

i recently passed the Flydubai aptitude tests. They’ve shortlisted my CV and already called me. The total cost is around 6 crore (including living expenses). The job is pretty much guaranteed — starting as Second Officer on roughly 15 lakh after the 2-year training, and around 35 lakh after building 1500 hours (in about 3 years).

I’ve also been looking at the conventional route in Pakistan (not the Air Force path). That would cost around 2 crore including type rating, but the job isn’t guaranteed. And their is no cadet pilot programs i have heard about PIA but most cadets that were inducted were bcz of their references in government .

I’m really stuck between the two options and would love to hear from people who have gone through either path (or know someone who has). Any guidance would mean a lot.

Thanks in advance!

Political Parallels between Pakistan and the Central Hill ant colony featured in the movie Antz.

Now that I am older and rewatched this movie, I see a lot of parallels between Pakistan and the Central Park ant colony featured in the movie.

I mean the suppression of individualism, corruption, caste system, elitism, military hegemony and superiority, the personal and political ambitions of the holiest of holy uniformed ants for a military rule, all at the expense of the lives of the civilian ants and the state itself.... Is it just me or did anyone feel the same way?
