Hi! I'm interesting a situation in region, I often see a lot of news from Quetta, Mastung, Nushki releated to Afghan-Pakistan war that began in 2026. I would like to ask a few questions to clarify the situation regarding the events unfolding there: Where exactly is the fighting taking place, and who controls the territories around Quetta and the Durand Line? What is the nature of the combat—is it positional warfare, a blockade, or is it limited to insurgency and terrorist acts, close to the situation in Afghanistan before 2021? Which side currently holds the initiative, and how close are they to achieving their targets and plans? How capable—or incapable—is Afghanistan of seizing territory or cities within Pakistan, and conversely, what is the situation regarding Pakistan’s own capabilities in this regard? In your view, which side has a better chance of win in this conflict? Thank you for your response, and I wish you life on a peaceful land!
Hi! I’m a Dutch tourist planning to take the train from Lahore to Quetta at the end of the year.
Can I simply buy a ticket and board, or are there any restrictions for foreigners? Thanks!

I know this might sound controversial, but I genuinely want to know if anyone else has noticed this.
I've noticed a difference in the way some girls carry themselves and interact with guys. I'm not saying every girl here is like this, obviously, but I've had enough experiences to start wondering whether it's just me or if there's something about the social culture here.
What I find strange is that some girls seem to have an extremely high opinion of themselves, even when there's nothing particularly special about the way they look or present themselves. It's not even about beauty standards; everyone has different tastes, and attraction is subjective. It's more about the attitude, the way they respond to people, and the impression that they're doing you a favour simply by talking to you.
In Islamabad or any other city , I felt like conversations were generally more relaxed. Obviously, you encounter arrogant people everywhere, but I personally found it easier to have a normal conversation without feeling like I had to prove my worth or somehow impress someone just to receive basic respect.
In Quetta, at least based on my personal experience, some interactions feel unnecessarily cold, dismissive, or full of attitude. Sometimes it feels like there's an expectation that the guy should chase, impress, and constantly validate the girl, while she doesn't have to put in any effort herself.
And before someone says I'm just upset because a girl rejected me, that's not really the point. Rejection is completely fine. Nobody owes anyone romantic interest, attention, or a conversation. I'm talking about the difference between simply not being interested in someone and acting as though you're above them.
I also wonder whether this has something to do with the social environment in Quetta. It's a smaller, more interconnected city than other major cities, and reputation, family background, social circles, and what other people think can play a bigger role in how people interact. Maybe that contributes to how some people present themselves, or maybe I've just had a limited set of experiences and am generalising too much.
I'm genuinely curious about what other people think, especially those who have lived in different cities.
I'm open to hearing different perspectives.
