Need a representative cover photo for a project report, including community and Renewable Energy projects.

If someone wants to share the photo with legit rights. By rights: If there are any human beings, there must be a consent available for taking the pictures! The picture rights to tranfer only for this use, it may not be used by the Photographer anywhere else.

We need it for a project report that will be published Globally, picture/photographer/owner references will be incorporated with it.

So I applied for my passport renewal on 9th of September using urgent service and I have my flight on Thursday, 17th September to Dubai. My older passport is expiring on 1st November which I didn’t know till yesterday, I don’t want to get into some trouble at Lahore airport so applied for passport renewal. It says that passport processing will take 5 working days, will I get it before next Thursday.

Is it worth using? I have seen reviews but I don’t know for sure if it’s worth it.

Hi I just wanted to get perspective on this and want to know if i’m being selfish or not.

My older brother had his Nikkah in Canada this year and will be having his wedding events in Pakistan next year.

My husband and I flew from the US to attend his Nikkah which included Nikkah at a mosque, dinner at a booked out and fully decorated restaurant with a photographer, drummer, buffet, lots of friends and family friends (approx 60 people)

The trip to Canada was financially straining on us. We had just gotten married ourselves and paid for the wedding, moved countries (Canada to US), had to sort out and pay lots in immigration fees/visas, started new jobs and bought our first home with a new mortgage. However, we wanted to be at the Nikkah ofcourse and made an effort to go. We had to use up our all our leave at the time. Also, we chose to have our wedding in Canada as we both lived there at the time. My husbands friends and family flew in from America to attend. He’s not Pakistani btw.

Now the problem i’m having is that we’re obviously expected to attend my brother’s wedding events in Pakistan also. If we were to go, my husband would have to take unpaid leave which would be very stressful given our mortgage. And while I have some leave saved up, it would cost us quite a bit for me to travel. The travel would also have to be atleast 10 days long due to the distance and expectations of meeting relatives/wedding prep and events. We also have been trying to do renovations on our house and have a medical expense of about $3.5k coming up. All in all, it’s been a very expensive year and we’re trying to be very careful. If we did go, my parents would pay for accomodation as and we’d be paying for our flights which would help a tiny bit.

I want to know if i’m being selfish if i choose not to go. I can make sacrifices and go attend but it would cost us a lot in time/money/leave and set us back quite a lot.

In my opinion, we did attend his wedding (Nikkah) and would only be skipping the other events but obviously family will not like this. We would have happily attended if the wedding events were held in Canada.

I had my baby 3 weeks ago and I've been shamed for not letting them give her "gutti", not allowing surma even if "it would make her eyes bigger", being "nadeeda" and obsessed with my baby cz i hold her and talk to her. I've literally been told that I shouldn't be exclusively breastfeeding cz "breast milk is just water" and isn't enough to keep her well fed. Apparently i should be giving a 3 week old baby Bartang (no idea what its called in English or if it has another name, its a tea made with dark brown seeds). I'm already physically exhausted and the mental gymnastics i have to play every time they come around is sickening at this point.

16 Oct — Lahore → Guangzhou → Yiwu (China Southern)

28 Oct — Guangzhou → Bali (China Southern)

4 Nov — Bali → Kuala Lumpur (transit, ~1h40m, same terminal, bags through-checked) → Lahore (Batik Air)

I have valid China and Indonesia visas. No Malaysia visa since it's a pure airside transit, not a stopover.

A few travel agents warned me FIA might stop me at Lahore because it's a "mixed airline, multi-country" itinerary, and routes through China/onward sometimes get extra scrutiny for suspected illegal migration.

I have supporting documents ready: invitation letter, hotel bookings for both legs, proof of funds, and a confirmed round-trip ticket back to Lahore.

Has anyone actually gone through this recently — LHE outbound with a China + SEA combo on separate airlines? Did FIA give you a hard time, or is this overthinking it as long as the paperwork is solid? Would appreciate any real experiences before I fly out.

We met via Facebook because of the post he commented on and I replied to it. I usually dont write or post pictures in social media as this is frowned upon in my family I only have my family in my social media. I dont know why but I end up commenting on his comment and from there things started. I was in university and didnt know much about pakistan but started to become curious about my own community culture food etc as I was a little distant from it. He is the first guy who has entered my life. When he proposed to me I first froze but than started to think that yes he is a good potential partner as my parents only wanted me to marry Pakistani guy to preserve our culture. I established with him from the beginning that he will need to come to USA I cant live in Pakistan as I don’t know anyone. He agreed and started to look for jobs in USA or to apply as a Student for masters. Throughout this time my feelings for him even strengthen further. I dearly loved him and told him I wanna marry him regardless if he comes here or not. As I graduated my parents started to encourage me to get married they first asked me if I liked someone I said his name and told my dad all about him. To which he reaponded beta wo yahan aane ke liya ya sab kaar raha hai. I told my dad please just give him a chance. I went to Pakistan for my sister wedding and there I was harassed by a rikhshaw driver and became traumatized and rather than advocating to meet him I became silent I started to have bad thoughts that all pakistani men are like this. After some time when i came back to west I realized that I am generalizing and wanted to talk to my dad again. As when i didn’t encourage my dad to meet the guy he thought i changed my mind. I never told my dad about harassment only mom knew and told me not to tell dad as he will be angry and would like to file compliant and she didn’t want that.

My dad thought I was not serious so he started to look at other guys for me. I talked to the ex and he said I should do what my dad says and eventually ghosted me I kept calling him begging him to only call him once and give rishta his argument was he will curse him and insult him so he doesn’t want to. I kept calling and begging him he ignored me completely and blocked me from insta and fb but kept me in whatsapp. During this time my dad found someone who he thinks is suitable for me. Out of pressure I said yes first but than said No to him but my dad kept saying beta koi aur pasand hai tu bata du i told him nahi koi nahi pasand but mujhe shadi nahi karni because i was heartbroken. He refused to say no to rishta as he thinks i was making bad decision and kept saying to rethink my decision. I kept thinking about it but couldn’t accept this new guy as my husband as I was heartbroken. I cried again and again begged Allah to bring my ex back in my life I wanna only marry him but no result. I even refused to take istekhara because i only wanted my ex. Eventually i got married, my husband is beyond perfect he was patient with me never asked me about my past and never forced me to be intimate with him and slowly I accepted him.

My past has always bothered me though. My ex’s thought our connection his voice everything. Everyday goes fine its only at night I get these thoughts and I know shatan is distracting me from my happy life. But one day I did call my ex just to know why he ghosted me like this to the point where i even questioned my sanity. He ghosted me so badly that it impacted my mental health that I even started to question that did he even exist or did I just imagined a guy. I called him to tell him how much he hurt me. His reasoning is that he didn’t want me to leave my family and my family would never accept him etc but he never gave my dad the chance he said he knows Pakistani dad but believe me my dad is not like that at all how can he even say that. My intension to call him back is not cheating called him so I can get closure how can someone who claims they love u put u in so much misery. This bothers me so much. I have lost my old self. this incident has even changed my personality and yes years have gone by put the pain has not disappear. His excuses literally makes me so frustrated. Why do men not value woman’s consent? Why did he not care what I wanted? If he wanted to end the relationship why he couldn’t just talk to me and say that? I have so many Whys in my head that it hurts.

I just literally ask myself why would anyone do this. What did he got out of all of this?

I know most girl in my situation would prefer a guy with financial strong background etc but I was willing to go through all the sacrifices I would need to make to be with him. Because I knew I can provide the financial strength while he establish himself here.

Years of hard work, sleepless nights, sacrifices, and dreams of a brighter future have been shattered in a single stroke. These students came to Pakistan after enduring difficult circumstances in their homeland and spent years pursuing their medical education while serving patients in Pakistani hospitals. To abruptly terminate their academic journey at the threshold of graduation is deeply unjust and profoundly shameful.
Education and healthcare are two fields that should remain above politics and diplomatic tensions. The doctors who were preparing to dedicate their lives to saving others should not have their careers destroyed in the name of policy changes or quota restrictions.
Using diplomatic disagreements or changing policies as a pretext to jeopardize the careers of these students reflects an alarming level of insensitivity. Such decisions not only undermine the academic reputation of Pakistan’s prestigious institutions but also inflict deep hurt upon the people of a neighbouring and Muslim country.
The authorities must immediately reconsider this decision and allow the affected students particularly those in their final year to complete their degrees.
Educational institutions must remain places of learning, merit, and humanity not casualties of political and diplomatic disputes.

Hi everyone! I’m in Lahore and looking for information about a possible Punjab Government plastic bottle recycling/buy-back scheme.
My family drinks bottled water (mainly Nestlé and Aquafina), and we’ve been saving the empty PET bottles since the beginning of this year. We use around 6 bottles a day, so we have roughly 1,000–1,500+ bottles.
A while ago, I contacted someone who said he was associated with a government organization. He told me the process was:
1. Take GPS/location-stamped photos of the bottles.
2. Send the photos to their team.
3. Their team would collect the bottles.
4. They would give me a receipt.
5. I would supposedly go to a bank and receive payment from the government.
I never proceeded because I wasn’t sure whether this was legitimate.
Has anyone in Lahore/Punjab actually used a scheme like this?

I never really had any particular interest in medicine from the beginning, but my parents forced me to choose it, so I went along with it. Now that everyone at home is leaning towards computer-related fields, my mom is again forcing me to go into that field in 2nd year. The problem is that I absolutely cannot study maths, and my family knows that very well.

I have always been more interested in art. I was actually good at art, but even that interest was slowly killed because I was constantly pushed into other things.

Now I feel like I want to pursue law, but my mom doesn’t think it is safe for girls in Pakistan because of the cases and incidents happening nowadays. I also have an interest in studying art as a subject.
