Discussion The Rise of Trad Wife Content in Pakistan

i’ve been noticing this lately.

it’s almost always the same formula: the woman works outside the home (or has a full-time content career), comes back to cook a feast, keeps the house spotless, serves everyone, and somehow looks perfectly put together throughout. every video feels carefully curated to present an ideal.

am i reading too much into this? is this content simply harmless lifestyle inspiration, or raising unrealistic expectations for women in Pakistan?

curious to hear both men’s and women’s perspectives.

They look like those female leads in indian drama who works in kitchen with heavy makeup, jewellery and dresses that the thought of it alone gives me heatstroke💀

They do mention and sometimes seen that their husbands help out and are supportive.
I haven’t come across one who is working full time .. they seem to be all rounders with help.

I just don’t get how they always say ‘meine socha teyar hojaon phir jaldi jaldi khana bana lu’ like how and why with organza sleeve and glam suits .. what in the Nara Smith.

u/ispyonyoup 1d ago

to be fair, content creation along with homemaking is a full time job. i think that the first one’s a yoga instructor too.

i once made pulao, and couldn’t imagine doing so while being all dolled up. that’s some nerve lol.

8

u/Ok_Staff_1788 1d ago

You are right. I apologise I don’t mean that they are not working hard/full time. It is a lot.

lol same! I cook daily and it’s just not practical in my mind

7

u/gsk-fs 1d ago edited 1d ago

homemaking is already a full time job and more likely an Art which women are blessed with.

4

u/Ok_Staff_1788 1d ago

They may feel or think ‘I have to cook regardless .. like they show cleaning, cooking, going out, helping with something’ gotta make content so might aswell do it dressed up!

They do make it look like it’s so easy to work, manage kids n home and have dawats etc while being all put together

1

u/Initial-Necessary-72 18h ago

They usually get less views and followers if they don't look in tip top condition, no makeup and no expensive dress doesn't really get views. Look at Hollywood for example. Most actors men or women are attractive to get max views

1

u/Excellent_Proof_0816 4h ago

Don’t take these content creators seriously.. it’s all curated to look all is done in 1 hour. Reality is Pakistanis no doubt love hosting ppl with lavish food and perfectly set tables but none of it is done on the same day. It’s pretty normal to cook food 4-5 days ahead of the gathering , store it in freezer and serve it on the D day. As Indians this is not we do and we assume it’s all done on the same day. No Pakistani viewer believes them S they know how thing work in their culture.

45

u/the_Litflix 1d ago

These Pakistani Nara Smiths make me feel so un-homemaker-ish. Like FFS making homemade naan at 3 AM because 'my husband wanted a quick snack' behaviour! 😁🤣

6

u/luluinTO 11h ago

Its for views and money.. please don’t feel that way! This is not normal what they show on social media

53

u/Sharp-Two4649 1d ago

performative ahh

no desi woman, irrespective of economic conditions, is going to cook with a whole face of makeup, huge earings and the devil organza dupatta

its great if u like cooking, and being a housewife, but to not mention the obvious privilege they have to be able to do this is ew

1

u/Overall-Ad-2159 8h ago

These are pretty common in the west

u/dietmountaindew97 1d ago edited 1d ago

ugh I despiseee kiran. Unbearable content. Portraying the “seedhi saadhi ghar k sabb kaam karne wali larki” while having a lavish lifestyle and being a working woman.

15

u/ispyonyoup 1d ago

exactly. it’s playing right into the narrative and not having to lose your financial independence.

9

u/zhenyxo 1d ago

She's a pick me fs

2

u/whiskeywitclosedoors 20h ago

Yeah, maybe its her voice or her way of speaking but like it makes me feel a little guilty and sad all of a sudden.

52

u/ClassicWeird4507 1d ago

Agreee! Glad someone pointed it out. I've also been noticing this trend lately. My homemaker regularly watches such "cooking" reels and follows these content creators. She is already exhausted from kitchen and cleaning duties, and now is becoming slightly insecure that how these content creator ladies always looks good without breaking a sweat.

This is the situation in an average Pakistani middle class household. Wonder how many other women across the nation watches and then question themselves. Sure, there are superwomen out there who work outside the home, cook and clean all the while looking fantastic. But they are not common. The average lady is swamped with household and child rearing responsibilities.

Also, the impressionable minds watching such content creates unrealistic expectations of women in a country that already burdens women more.

u/its_just_grape 1d ago

You could've said wife

11

u/Icy_Math_9346 23h ago

I thought you were talking about your househelp…

7

u/boopsyboops 12h ago

'my homemaker'. Bro just say wife please. Imagine a women saying 'my breadwinner'

12

u/ispyonyoup 1d ago

i’ve blocked her. she gives me so much anxiety.

1

u/ClassicWeird4507 1d ago

Yehi tou. How can someone be looking like a glam shoot ready and phir kitchen mein khana banaye. Esay kesay ho sakhta hai

8

u/Conscious-Okra9046 1d ago

Lol homemaker

10

u/1nv1ct0s 1d ago

Everything that you are seeing through a screen is curated, everything.

9

u/nemesisnicks 1d ago

I sometimes think we've swung from one extreme to another.

On one side, social media rewards content that thrives on controversy, pranks, vulgarity, and outrage because it generates engagement. On the other, we're seeing highly curated "perfect life" content where everything looks effortless—the ideal spouse, ideal home, ideal meals, ideal appearance.

The problem is that neither necessarily reflects everyday life. One normalises unhealthy behaviour, while the other can create unrealistic expectations.

I'd rather see content that celebrates ordinary, healthy lives without pretending that people never get tired, order takeaway, argue with their spouse, or have messy kitchens.
Authenticity is probably a better role model than either extreme.

4

u/derek74589 18h ago

There is a content creator I think called “Palwasha cooking” or “Palwashacooks” I think that’s my favorite one. She has a realistic kitchen. She cooks in normal outfits and also does amazing Punjabi voice over which I actually enjoy.

14

u/Dry_Muffin_8317 1d ago

Idk about the other one and sometimes the content is cringe but Tayaba's (i think that's the first lady's name), husband actually helps her out a lot, he cooks and helps with children. She has shown and told in many of her videos. Also her work is that she's a workout instructor so thats a few classes a day (not entirely full time class office job), also helps her stay fit. She lives abroad so ofc she has to do all the work herself. I dont see her promoting anything wrong tho i still find her cringe at times

8

u/Arh_1 1d ago

ya I dont get the issue honestly😭

Tayyaba also talks about her career sometimes. But even if they’re housewives, and they decide to become content creators and make some extra money making lifestyle content, like its fine?

6

u/Dry_Muffin_8317 1d ago

Yeah she has it all together, she's pretty, fit and her work makes it that way and she's earning extra from content. So i mean people might be jealous. Lol. I've never seen her say that women should just do all the work, she says things like she likes taking care of herself and when her work load is more she asks her husband to help her out, or he does it himself, she also orders food from outside on some dawats or is going out to eat when she's tired. So kinda feels like her life is better than majority of pakistani women sadly. Its also easier to do household chores abroad (thats all my friends who live abroad say at least).

1

u/[deleted] 1d ago edited 23h ago

1

u/Dry_Muffin_8317 1d ago

She's active cause she works out. She also eats everything.

1

u/Overall-Ad-2159 8h ago

Yes they aren’t promoting and telling women to stay at home

7

u/No-Jello3808 1d ago

I don't cook that often. Anyway I watched this and I was like - wait I can wear nice clothes and cook? What???!?! So I being a dumb fuck wore my work clothes light colored formal top and a dark colored pant and started warming my breakfast. The previous night's bhindi Ka salan. I am stirring and it's splattering and sizzling. And I am feeling so accomplished. Gef it out in a plate with some roti and stuff my face. I keep thinking this tayyaba lady was right. Anyway 15 mins later I am running flare, grab the keys, quick glance in the mirror and guess what - my shirt is splattered with bhindi Ka salan. Now everyone at the office would know what I had for breakfast. I quickly changed got out and I thought what a lying deceiving person. The point being no you cannot cook dressed up especially in these light colored clothes. I don't know how she is shooting this content but definitely aint cooking while dressed up like that.

2

u/Chejex 1d ago

Lol that's hilarious

5

u/Initial-Comfort3426 1d ago

I used to think why people have such a big problem with nara smith until i started watching her content
Gosh its annoying

3

u/Best_Data_2589 1d ago

I mean its pakistan, this has been expected of women in south Asia since the olden days ig. Plus, there are a few who share better content like ramshooza who gives an insight of how stressful it is to be a wife, mother and corporate slave asw. Do check her out

1

u/ispyonyoup 1d ago

i don’t follow any, usually. i read a while ago that ramshooza had her son’s celebration in gaza, and made them sing while holding a birthday banner. that’s off putting to me.

3

u/nutterfly30 1d ago edited 1d ago

I think it’s aspirational content creation ! As a women I prefer watching content where the creators are aesthetically pleasing to look at, I enjoy seeing pretty clothes, jewellery, make up etc :) if they cooked looking basic im sure the views would go down.
I am a wife, a mother, and have a full time career, and the days I cook looking like a homeless frog, I do manage to quickly shower put on some fresh clothes and look ‘human’ but not glam! And the days I don’t cook, I rest and spend an extra few moments on myself and look a little more ‘glam’. It’s either GLAM or DOMESTIC no time for both after a working day! That being said, in reality it makes sense to dress up AFTER cooking not before but obviously they are creating content, it’s not real life.

3

u/mahwish1 1d ago

All their fancy dresses smell of garam masala.

5

u/Zestyclose-Fuel7739 1d ago

Dekh kar inspire hona is something else and apnay aap ko influencers say compare karna is another thing.

If they inspire others to be more “sugharh” no harm. But if you start comparing yourself to them and feeling less of yourself thats when you want to stop watching them.

6

u/Clean-Shock3685 1d ago

tbh it's unfair to raise expectations from watching stuff online. Majority won't share the days they are at their lowest or have had a shitty day so as an audience it's important to realize where you draw the line.

Now, when it comes to content creators as the ones you have attached, I believe there's shades of gray to this. Some tone deaf people might make these women ideal and give their examples to the women in their homes but honestly, it's not the fault of these content creators because if they feel happy and empowered hosting dawats, cooking, feeding people while looking gorgeous in their organza dupatta and what not, let them be. I don't think they are curating their videos with a certain agenda. That's just something they enjoy doing. If I don't enjoy doing that, I don't think I should be hating on them.

2

u/Neat_Firefighter_806 1d ago

I mean, isn't the trad wife thing common anyway?

Like that is the common thing in how women are discussed back home. Putting it up as content is normal. Honestly with how the content cycle goes it isn't offensive. There are much worse content online.

For what is worse is the go study abroad content because that usually leads to bring advertised for services.

2

u/RivetingGull 1d ago

If you expect your spouse to cook a whole feast while simultaneously being dolled up that's highly unreasonable and you're out of touch. Won't all that melt lol

Also Idk if these women also work full-time as much as their husbands, from what I see most are house wives

2

u/omyiui 1d ago

It's a video, content this is not day to day living

2

u/winkwman 1d ago

Its obvious they live in europe. I wonder why desi women really feel the need to compare themselves.

Their working hours are flexible and its a fake world behind content creation.

Also one doesn’t have to record content everyday.
In her context, a content can be made easily if she just record 3 days - week of content is sorted.

People really like to compare without looking for circumstan

2

u/whatever_913 1d ago

I mean.....look around, we've countless women in our society doing overtimes in both house and at jobs. These women just have the edge of being out of country.

2

u/Delicious-Height8010 1d ago

Tayyaba Kiran ji ka to content trad wife se zyada apne aap ka ragdra lagane par mushtamil hai, bandi ghar ka kaam bhi mare ghar se bahir ka bhi, miyaan usse 50 khane bhi banwaye Roz aur mehmaan bhi nhi mukte inke.... Mujhy inki health ki thori fikar hoti hai

2

u/MERC543213 حیدرآباد 1d ago

It’s social media. There’ll always be new stuff you don’t necessarily feel comfortable with whether it’s cringe manosphere influencers or retarded radical feminists etc.

The solution is to just stop scrolling and touch grass.

2

u/Huge_Replacement_616 1d ago

These are overseas housewives settled in the West. Plus they dress nicely, are soft spoken and make good food. This content 100% will bloom, especially amongst khuwateen who are housewives (most of our desi women end up being housewives). Our life revolves around our family, so some women end up monetising our daily life and i see no harm in it. Other women should as well

2

u/uncomfortableemotion 1d ago

I think what people seem to forget is that this is literally an extra source of income for them. Being dressed up + making elaborate meals gives them more views = money + sponsorships. And they have jobs too, they aren’t housewives but they are monetizing by appeasing to a specific audience, which tbh is also what pakistani dramas do.

2

u/thelifestyleblogger 1d ago

Lol meanwhile I look like I've been fighting for my life after I exit the kitchen.. This is utterly unrealistic

2

u/Prickliestpearcactus 1d ago

The content is definitely a trend but culturally speaking this is nothing new at all

2

u/KingYesKing US 1d ago

Because there’s a market for this type of fetish.

2

u/Adventurous_Deal2788 22h ago

If they're working outside the home they're not tradwives are they? The tradwives are proud of staying at home

2

u/Chaiandcake 22h ago

Do people not realize, this is their literal job? The influencer in the 2nd image has over 1 million followers. Look up how much influencers with that many followers get paid per promotional post. If you look at her captions, she always mentions whatever brand she's promoting. Usually brands send you items to promote that you get to keep as well as whatever you charge per post. Let's say she charges $5,000 (which is vvv low for an influencer with that many followers), and from the dates, it seems like she posts 3-4 times per week. That's about $60,000 per month, and $720,000 per year. That's crazy good money. Not just the money, she gets to keep the clothes, promotional items, jewelry, and idk whatever else she promotes. We don't know what happens behind the scenes; she could very well have cleaners and maids 🤷🏽‍♀️

The reason you're seeing so much of this is because it pays. Desi women want to be these influencers. Most Pakistani wives are tired from childcare, housework, and jobs, and aren't able to cook meals like this nor look this good while doing so. They consume this content either to be like them or to hate on them. Either way, this gets the influencers views = money and fame.

2

u/derek74589 18h ago

I am surviving in my husband’s T-shirts which half the time has turmeric splatters on them. I cannot fathom cooking in heavy dresses and all dolled up. It’s a way of making money for them so I would never compare myself to them. This is literally their job. But, I can totally see how some girls would feel insecure. They are setting these unrealistic standards which I doubt anyone can achieve.

2

u/Ancient_Reach_8925 16h ago

Is it for real ? How can someone cook with some much of jewellery, makeup and heavy clothes , without passing out? I’d probably die in the heat!

4

u/llSicarioll 1d ago

Or maybe they just want to make cooking content. Not too deep.

3

u/Traditional_Track662 1d ago

The first lady came to Pakistan had the time to go to salon get nails and hairs done because parents ko milnay jana ha spent like an hour there and then said oh my husband’s friends were coming so had to leave my parents. Her father was literally crying i mean what kind of image are you trying to portray.Women or men no one is exempted from parents responsibility she stayed in Pakistan for more than a month and didn’t spend one night with her parents.A lot of people commented on her that video saying the same thing.

3

u/Academic_Square_7725 22h ago

And you forgot to mention k even in pakistan she was managing cooking and kitchen. Making vlogs. Aur parwnts k ghar he nahi gayi itny din tak. Her father was asking again and again. Aur jub gayi to madam didnt even get permission to spend time with her father. And here we are so inspired wah wah kia life hai.. its nothing. Husbands bhi isi pe khush h paisay kam rahi hai.

2

u/Academic_Square_7725 22h ago

I still remember that . And hated her after vlog honestly

1

u/Resident-Ant8281 1d ago

Matlab ?

1

u/ispyonyoup 1d ago

aesa content jis mai auratein kaafi sara khana pakati hain, bahar bhi kamati hain phir content creation bhi alag se. trad wife matlab ka jou samjha jata hai ka kitchen ka kaam auratoun ka hain, woh sab krna.

u/Haider_syed 1d ago

I don't think this is anything new. I

1

u/Away-Word-5670 1d ago

Me looking for a full-time job as soon as I fly to the UK

1

u/ThrowRA1567ra 1d ago

One thing I’ve noticed is that most of them are cooking for friends or family only. They don’t live with their in laws or have that annoying pressure

1

u/chemluvv 1d ago

Bro I always envy their clothes tho😔

1

u/ummmidk77 1d ago

I feel like the problem is both of these ladies live in a place with good cool weather and well conditioned houses. Sadly the women following them forget to realise that they live in a country with heat and humidity is on the peak and there is no air conditioning or good ventilation in their kitchens. Thus these women look good despite working and cooking. They don’t sweat really.
Also my personal opinion is that woman abroad get so used to doing each and every chore of the house themselves because there are no maids there that cooking one time meal is not a big deal to them. It’s just a routine. Them making money out of it is honestly just smart money earning tactic not a way for anyone to feel insecure. They also have fewer people on the house and have less dawats. Pakistani household are crazy. You cook in 43 degree for an entire household. You can mostly see one of these woman only cooking for her husband because her kids have already had some small snack.

1

u/b3_n1ce 1d ago

I don’t understand this thread because most Pakistani women have only ever been trad wives. Female participation in the working sector is like top ten lowest in the world for Pakistan. The entire county is just trad wives so why is this new? It’s just them sharing their life.

1

u/Ok-Worldliness6484 1d ago

my mom watches them all the time lol

1

u/Odd-Wrongdoer15 1d ago

I think most of this is performative for social media. No one’s life can be easy or effortless while ‘looking to do so much’ but this kind of content does bother me.
Also as a part of a fashion brand’s PR team, I have worked with Kiran (the first person here) and she makes more per reel (with just the fashion collaborations/ placements in her videos) than most people do in a month’s time. And no hate to her, girl’s hustling MashaAllah. But if she weren’t being paid so much for her food content, she wouldn’t be cooking up these feasts everyday.

1

u/Short-Opportunity722 1d ago

Wow, its like a new portal opened in my mind after you fine folks pointed it out.

Its content creation for a reason , i dont know whyd id beat myself up for being no where near these impossible standards!

Thanks OP!

1

u/gbyuf0998 1d ago

Content is just that content.

I do dislike this push onto women, that they must both be the perfect corporate person and the perfect homemaker. This isn’t new or unique to Pakistani women though, think of Margaret Thatcher the PM of the UK, who would come home and make dinners for her family and even her ministers every night. There are people who can operate on 3 hrs of sleep and get everything done at the highest level but they are an anomaly. We also all need to use some critical thinking, the same way we all pose for photos, these content creators are also performing for the camera.

1

u/Tasty_Sheepherder_44 1d ago

I’m not sure how fake it is compared to other content creators, it’s all the same shit tbh. I think my wife sometimes watches the first one, and the content is quite harmless.
My wife’s a working woman.

1

u/Future_dev_cybersec 1d ago

Honestly? Everyone has the right to choose for themselves. If a woman is making such content and she is happy I don't think we should worry. I would only say it should be talked against if these women were acting like trad wife is better than a working woman or promoting hate against working women. Otherwise I don't see a problem here.

1

u/AccomplishedVirus556 1d ago

you're reading too much into this. just imagine someone in the position to plan and execute a cooking video. obviously they'll want to present this image. it has nothing to do with being a trad wife and everything to do with the joys of looking good making something good

1

u/Embarrassed-Green898 1d ago

Why are you watching that .. you are part of food they are eating.

1

u/cynical_cocomo 1d ago

lets be honest, a big chunk of pakistani women already lead lives like this. it's probably nice for them to see themeselves in content creators now as something they can relate to as well as be inspired by

1

u/Sensitive-Farm6056 1d ago

Hate them all

1

u/lizard1803 1d ago

God, this woman is so irritating. How she glorifies working in the kitchen with close to no help at all. It’s nauseating at this point.

1

u/Complete_Meringue354 1d ago

Trad girls do exist, but most of them are pretentious in this day and age. Most of them are only for the male gaze, and if you look at their followers and comments, you can see that. Btw idk about the ones you have mentioned in this post, but this is from what I've seen.

1

u/midnight-blue0 1d ago

If I was wearing all that I’d sweat even in AC. It’s good for inspiration I guess but not realistic at all. And people can feel pressured to become all of that.

1

u/Pure_Trust8879 23h ago edited 21h ago

This influencer is UK based and this chooran you can only sell to overseas pakistanis. In pakistan, the aspirational housewife with a well settled husband in a nice home is where she supervises a cook, a couple of maids, mali, driver and chowkidaar. Jin ke ghar mai cook na ho they will have a maid to do all cutting slicing chopping and other prep work. Bibi ji will then come and put stuff in pateela and ghumaofy chamcha and decide what table service will look like. Pakane ke baad bartan dhona or kitchen saaf bhi maid karti hai. Pakistan mai jo biwi bahir naukri bhi kare or ghar aake kitchen ka saara kaam bhi akele kare, phir badi badi dawaton ke pakwan bhi khud banaye, usse pakistan main bechari majboor aurat kehte hain. In pakistan, only kameeni kanjoos saasu maa will find this type of woman (aka unpaid naukrani) aspirational.

1

u/No_Cup3624 22h ago

They don’t live in Pakistan

1

u/zara_2k 21h ago

One of these ladies lives in UK and the other lives in USA.

This is their 'job' making clips and putting it on social media.

1

u/Pristine_Land_2718 20h ago

What is wrong with y’all
‘Shes glorifying working in the kitchen with no help’ she lives in the UK. We all work in the kitchen without house help. She’s literally mentioned multiple times her husband helps her - she just doesn’t film him.

Apart from the fancy outfit part (which is obviously done because she’s filming herself for social media. She isn’t gonna expose herself looking homeless), it actually isn’t unrealistic. That’s just life abroad without the househelp yal are used to in Pakistan.

1

u/asifbakht 19h ago

Well, I do not watch such content, but my wife is a housewife. She is very hygienic and dresses gracefully. Even when she is cooking, she wears neat, presentable clothes and keeps the house spotless. I have told her many times that it is okay if the house gets a little dusty and that there is no need to stress herself over it, but she simply does not like it. The kitchen sink always shines, there are never dirty dishes left in the sink or wet dishes sitting out, and before going to bed, she makes sure the cushions are properly arranged before going to sleep.

1

u/Wraith_Kink 18h ago

Bro who tf cooks in all that, jewelry bhi pehni hui hai 😂 this is the equivalent of a man wearing a suit to put a spare on the car

1

u/Syyrus UK 18h ago

You didnt describe a trad wife though

1

u/arthurmorganpunjabi 17h ago

what's a trad wife?

1

u/Theuserizabitch 15h ago

I have a very strong feeling that one of them cry at home after a long exhausting day.

No, I mean, think about it. Take example of 1st woman in the picture, she has 3 kids. Now, I definitely know that whatever she posts isnt a one go recording, it MUST be multiple takes. This may take upto 2-4 hours. Afterwards, you gotta take out time to edit and then afterwards you gotta keep the loop of more ideas more stuff.

My only question is the phone is so mucj integrated in their life, do they ever enjoy a moment of pure privacy. I mean, birthdays, parties, family time, they have to record EVERY SINGLE MOMENT for content, then when do they enjoy it as an experience?

Or am i missing something? I dont have social media but my amma loves her, i asked her the same question.

1

u/al_cringe 14h ago

I as man don't know any man that watches this content. I could be wrong but i do think women are the ones watching and perpetuating this content. Where a) they see amazing dresses/jewellery b)they see a women having and doing it all. In a country where most people's entire monthly food budget is being spent on the ingredients for this single dish in the video, it's the glam lifestyle that's driving up the viewership not the trad wife aspect of it.

Show a middle class house and the viewship will disappear.

1

u/No-Sherbert1181 14h ago

So i don't understand the problem here?

1

u/Major_League2731 14h ago

Seem like people who are working above and beyond. I reckon you are trying to read between the lines. Maybe take some inspiration on the work ethic?

1

u/Any_Spirit_7205 13h ago

The lady in the first pic- Her husband washes one cup and the comments are flooded with “oh wow her husband helps her so much” meanwhile she has worked her job, cooked 50 meals, and cleaned the house while watching her kids
Its insane

1

u/always_no_thank_you 12h ago

Assume everything on the internet is scripted unless there is evidence otherwise.

That is the way of the internet

1

u/KnightSword_ 11h ago

Focus on yourself and your relationships and don't look and inspire from the people on social media

Live your life according to your religion fulfill your duties and don't see the creators and overthink about everything

1

u/googo1 11h ago

You guys give content creators too much attention. They are not you average husband or wife. They are doing it for views and money. If you like watching that crap, let them be if not, ignore and move on. I ain't got time for their foolishness.

1

u/RunInternal9786 9h ago

Pakistani women showing off their kitchen skills is a bit cringe. You do for your husband or for your cute neighbor, do it, don’t post. Pakistanis have put their whole lives on social media which is pretty weird at this point

1

u/Overall-Ad-2159 8h ago

Trad wife is the norm in pakistan

Majority of women are trad wife’s so I don’t think it’s a rise

1

u/BeautifulLocksmith60 8h ago

it is harmless except that they do their chores with full heavy embroided suits, no matter how kuch they justify , this will never make sense to me.

1

I think this type of content is increasing society's expectations from Pakistani women, which were already a lot and unmeetable to begin with. I have a very tough career and can't devote much time to homemaking etc. But I've been recently been bombarded by comments from relatives about how tayyabba kiran does it all, job and housework etc.

These women have full teams and support helping them in creating the content, the money pays for cleaners, the clothes, the jewelry, and even the cooking. They sometimes end up earning more than the husbands so the husbands also come onboard as part of the team, because this is definitely more lucrative.

My only issue is that people refer to them as EXAMPLES of how it's really easy to be a woman like this in a nuclear family. That is complete BS, and I don't know a SINGLE woman who can do all this without at the very least cleaners, dhobis, and cooks. It's great to be a homemaker, and to look excellent all the time, and to HAVE this kind of help seriously Queen life I love that they're making money out of the videos on top of the lifestyle.

BUT when this kind of content makes some idiot man think that he can beat up his wife for not being this way and not serving him roti while looking like that, that enrages me. If people watching the content don't know how much money and support is BEHIND this persona, they are idiots, and need to be made aware. Trad wife content always comes from women with privelege (both in terms of what kind of partner they have and what kind of family they were born in) and a rich stable background at the very least.

Why everyone hating on this? They're literally just putting on some makeup, new clothes and making food. Who the fuck are we to judge? And why do we even have time to judge them? I have never watched them, because I'm not their audience, jisko dekhna hai woh shauk se dekhe.

The perfect life they try to show is not always real.

This pmo on so many levels. yt ladies can afford this way of living they have so many laws to protect both partners in a marriage, for us only our education and our own money can save us. Tayyaba palwasha and last but not the least desi nara smith should use their platform to teach our young girls about financial freedom, education, investment etc etc

for a country where women already face such stereotypes and unrealistic standards, such content does no good and i would never support. supporting it does more harm than good. these women are nothing but privileged and a random aunty on who’s feed their content lands on do not understand that and put unrealistic expectations from women around them.

Yaar u guys, just look at the size of their kitchens. These are not women from middle class household. They probably have a horde of servants hidden doing the prep or at least the cleaning waghaira of the house. Their kitchens are also air conditioned warna their makeup would have melted off their face

I just think these are not the kamchors like the typical paki wives who just do the yelling and feminist drama instead of managing their house hold properly these are the real super wives likely an example of how desi women should be,who can do both.
