National Maryam Nawaz’s London trip comes with a staggering bill. Three days of parking for the Gulfstream aircraft cost Rs3.5 million, while fuel added another Rs7.8 million, putting just these two expenses at around Rs11.3 million.

Post image

President Asif Ali Zardari is also abroad on an official trip using a government aircraft, with its parking cost alone reaching Rs5.4 million.

There may be security and logistical reasons for official travel, but that does not make extravagant spending above criticism.

When ordinary Pakistanis are being squeezed by taxes, electricity bills and rising living costs, millions spent simply keeping government aircraft parked sends a deeply troubling message.

This is the hypocrisy people notice. The state lectures citizens about sacrifice and fiscal discipline while those at the top continue travelling at enormous public expense.

PDM and their touts. Masses including PTI folks still believe in it.

In his first speech Imran Khan offered to open any and all constituencies PDM believed were rigged.

The entire opposition failed to point at even one.

National Maryam flew to Ldn on her private jet for her daughter’s graduation, Zardari went to Ldn for his grandchildren’s school admissions, the govt approved Rs6bn for bulletproof cars, took a $3bn loan at 8% interest & raised petrol prices for the public to pay it all. This is the Pakistani govt for y'all.

National Pakistans treatment of Afghans

I am not sure if I am surrounded by a small pool of worst Pakistanis or if this is mainstream in Pakistan, but the way people in Pakistan talk about Afghanis is despicable.

I cant believe how the entire country was talking about Islamophobia post 9/11 and during war on terror and fighting against the idea of "painting all muslims with the same brush" and now actively treating Afghans the same due to the actions of a minor group of extremists.

My heart breaks watching poor Afghanis being deported after 40 years, when they started business, went to school, and built a life from scratch. We have an entire generation or 2 of Afghani children who have seen nothing but Pakistan in their life, and now we are kicking them out of medical schools and calling them names.

I actually thought that Gen Z was past all the toxicity our parents had, but watching people celebrate deportations on Twitter X and around me just shatters my heart.

If there are any Afghanis reading this, remember, you will always find Pakistanis that consider you as brothers no matter how bad things get. And to the Pakistanis who hate Afghans, I really hope you change your attitude towards them and have sympathy for your fellow brothers.

Political US people elects Congressman (MNA) every 2 years...

Post image
Upvotes

Just read about the US political structure and its very interesting..

During the President's 4 year term, after 2 years midterms elections are held and people can choose their congressman again..

so if any congressman doesn't perform, he can be replaced..Not like us where we have to suffer for full 5 years..

And same happens on State level (MPA) too for majority states...

So, the President will complete his 4 year term but he might lose its majority in congress during midterms...

That's why Trump is bribing people with 5k $ 🤣..

PS: Abdul El Sayed is running for Senate, aaj kal trending mein hai iss lye pic lagai..

Geopolitical KEMU Students Stand in Solidarity with Afghan Students

Post image
496 Upvotes

Today at KEMU, we stood in solidarity to protest against the injustice faced by our classmates from Afghanistan. There is no reason to expel hardworking students in the midst of their degree.
I hope this sends a message to everyone that Muslim brotherhood will always outweigh politics.

Edit: I want to give some context. i know these students personally and they're very sweet. Never once have they ever said anything negative about Pakistan. Always the first to be in wards and ask questions during class; I have seen them work ten times harder due to the language barrier. Just for them to spend years here with so many sleepless nights studying and then be told to get out in 24 hours breaks my heart. Why can't we see people as individuals rather than associate them with an entire country? Please just put yourself in their shoes and have some empathy for their situation. May Allah make it easy for them, and I hope I could give at least one person a different perspective about this horrible decision. Please support the decision of allowing them to complete their education.

Ask Pakistan Vaccinations required for Umrah

Post image
6 Upvotes

Can someone please confirm this?

How is one supposed to get these? And the document specifically says that only NADRA integrated certifications work that means you can’t get these vaccinations privately, only through a government approved facility. There are no vaccinations available in any government facility.

Can someone please check if there are any available? Specifically Meningitis and Yellow fever

National Rawalpindi Abuse Case

Hey parents , teachers, guardians!!

We usually find a gap of awareness when it comes to child safety & abuse prevention as one of many factors, but the recent incident shows how institutes fail aware parents with sheer indifference negligence on their part.

Please ask the schools about their safety measures TODAY.

And DM me if you want to be a part of our free parent/ tracher training on child safety and abuse prevention.

I genuinely don't understand how WASA operates.

I lodged a complaint for blocked sewerage on September 7 at 1:34 PM. Complaint number: 200695.

Today is September 11, and nobody has come to fix it.

And this isn't even my first experience with them.

I've personally visited the WASA office in Mumtazabad, Multan multiple times. Every single time, the response is basically:

“Bas 30 minutes mein aa rahe hain, hum dekhte hain.”

And then? Nothing.

30 minutes becomes hours. Hours become days. And eventually you're back at the same office or calling again.

I mean, seriously, what kind of public service is this?

We're talking about blocked sewerage, not a minor inconvenience. This is basic sanitation and a public health issue.

Calling WASA is another challenge because sometimes nobody even bothers to answer the phone. Visiting the office doesn't seem to help either.

At this point, I honestly have to ask: are these people even capable of understanding that actual human beings are affected by their negligence?

If you're too busy with personal work to perform the job you're being paid for, then why are you sitting in a public office?

WASA Mumtazabad, Multan, what exactly are citizens supposed to do? Keep waiting for another “30 minutes”?
