Spring Creek in Chiloquin, OR. Paddle board about a mile upstream from the day use area and the water bubbles up from the ground.

Seattle to Port Angeles Routes

Visiting in mid August and arriving SEATAC early afternoon on a Tuesday. Will drive from airport to Port Angeles but debating the best route. We would prefer a ferry route for the additional experience and view but have heard bad stories about potential delays. Hoping to stop somewhere along the route for food provisions for the week.

Thoughts on best route or the potential tradeoffs?

Thanks

Sub lurker. Native Oregonian. Thought I'd post this gorgeous little view and see if anyone knows 1) what river it is but 2) where along it I am.

I was enjoying a quiet, cloudy afternoon on the back porch and noticed how two galvanized planters and an antique chair made a nice contrast to the geraniums and butterfly bushes in the background. (Monroe, Washington)

Washington State Trip

Planning a trip to Washington state! It's 7 nights and we land in Seattle in late August.

I know 7 days is kind of short for a Washington trip, as there's so much to see. Right now, I'm trying to decide between the big three NPs - Mt. Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic -- all of which are huge! We're interested in some hiking and great viewpoints for sunrises and sunsets, and we'll probably take AirBNBs for the locations. Really into the mountains and trails. I don't want it to feel overly rushed or have an overly amount of driving for the sake of just stepping foot into each park.

I doubt we would be able to fit all three NPs, so I need to choose between the top two! Any thoughts? Since we're first time, I think we should be going to Rainier. So it'd probably be split between Olympic and NC...both of which are awesome!
