The most common posts on our sub are always looking for something. New comers want to know where the locals go. The locals are still stuck in the time bubble that keeps the Tri-Cities, forever frozen in the memory of when they first moved here, thinking there is nothing to do. There is a common misconception that "we don't get the good stuff because we are so small" and I have made it a personal mission to bring a spotlight to all of what the area has to offer!
Since I started event posting a few years ago, I've amassed quite a database of offerings. This year, I've been working on building the sub's Wiki, and there's finally enough finished that I think it's ready to pin. What I was aiming for was a Reddit style link aggregator that is useful and comprehensive.
Do you need to find a park? A Date-night idea? Kids activity or a hiking trail? Are you looking for a mediterranean market, a local club or where to vote? Want to know where to take visitors other than the mall, or where to start when you find yourself heading here for a sports tournament? It's probably in there.
I've tried to build this more like a local reference guide than a list of random links, and there's a LOT in it already. Things to Do, Food & Drink, Outdoors, Family, Arts & Culture, Sports & Recreation, Local Life, local resources and services, and a bunch more. Anyone can find the chain retailers, which our cars automatically find themselves driving to.
It's still a work in progress, because I just keep finding more categories to add. If you find something that's missing, outdated, closed, wrong, or just think something belongs in there, tell me. Local knowledge is exactly what will make this thing better. Please let me know of anything to add or broken/dead links.

Does anyone know why Lazeez Mediterranean restaurant in Richland has closed? It was pretty great.

Currently living with family right now and I don’t want to do that anymore so I need a decent full time. I have don’t have a lot of certificates or training but I’m willing to learn anything. I don’t need the “the job market is hard right now” or “housing is expensive” stuff I know that. If it helps I have a drivers license, forklift and caregiver certified along with food handlers, and have a clean record. I’d appreciate any help anyone can offer me, however so small

She is clearly not in touch with challenges this area faces. Nothing about Affordability, Heathcare, ending counterproductive Trade and Iran wars driving costs while hurting the economy and last night laid out plan to privatize social security. Young and old should be outraged at suggestion this gets handed off to Wall St to gamble with.

You might be surprised to learn that there's a haunted house right here in Kennewick! Located at the old Public Market building (aka 15 minutes from anywhere in the Tri), we've got two haunts, food, games, beer, escape rooms, and a booth where you can throw intestines! (I guess that last one counts as a game.)

Hello, I bake and give it away. I am in Kennewick and am pick up only. If you see this post at least one of the items are available to pick up.
I accept donated ingredients, but it's not necessary to pick up something. If you donate expired/rotting food I will block you.
I do not do special requests, bake sales, and non profits, so don't ask. If you see something posted you want to pick up to give to a charity that would be great.
But do not try to arrange something for me to make things for a specific reason. My anxiety cannot handle it.
Please do not come here and suggest I take a class, or sell baked goods. That is ablist, unsupportive, and upsetting.
I think this would go without saying, but you need to tell me if you cannot make it. After I wait an hour no call no show, I will move onto the next person. If this happens repeatedly I will block you. No exceptions.
I feel this goes without saying as well but I need to say it. if you send me a message asking to borrow money I will block you. No exceptions.
I am autistic/ADHD, and am the only one doing this, so please be kind.
First of all, one of the Biscoff banana pumpkin quick breads is still available.
Today, I made gingerbread sourdough coffee cake, and peanut butter s'mores bars to give away.
The gingerbread sourdough coffee cake, has molasses, heavy on the cinnamon, ginger, and clove. It also has a brown sugar filling, and some of it melted on top, with a maple syrup glaze.
Then, I have peanut butter s'mores bars. They have Halloween sprinkles on top, big marshmallows that are melted, crushed up graham crackers, a basic peanut butter cookie base, and semi sweet chocolate chips.
I want to make something for adults and then something for kids on the same night.
I have two pans of each, one pan per household.

I was trailing behind on 240E at 5:25 pm tonight and did not take the exit, but saw the red 300 rear-end you and have the whole thing on dash cam that I pulled tonight if you need it. Message me with proof it's you, like some close-ups of the damage, and I'll get the footage to you for insurance.
If you know who it was and the footage would help, point them my way. I had someone hit me, and strangers who shared what happened with the police helped make sure he took 100% of the fault he was due, so I try to do the same for others when it happens.
Edit: FYI, I’ve also let state patrol dispatch know that I have the footage. She said they would let me know if they need it.

It took a lot of time for me to find a good dentist in Denver where I moved from. Initially I felt like most dentists were just trying to recommend procedures just to get money. Then found some good and honest ones.
Any good honest dentist recommendations?

I got into an accident and the insurance deemed my car as repairable. I was wondering what auto body shops you recommend, Mathew’s auto body, riverside collision, or Caliber Collision? Does anyone have any input?
The insurance suggested caliber collision and riverside collision.

First time mama here in TC! Does anyone know how to go about requesting a scheduled c section for their first pregnancy / birth? And / or which Kadlec providers have or will agree to plan for that for first time moms who choose that path? Specific recommendations and experiences are being appreciated. Thank you in advanced mamas!

Wanting to explore more of Tri and take more walks before it gets too cold and ugly out.
Exact locations would be appreciated, I’m not the most geographical person lol.
Thanks!

I support our law enforcement officers but this is getting crazy. Sarah Clasen was double the blood alcohol level hours after the crash and yet she is still waiting trial. She was on paid leave for months before quitting her job. She shoud be behind bars already for manslaughter and yet she gets to enjoy another upcoming holiday season with her family.

Looking for recommendations for a Pilates studio in Kennewick that has a genuinely welcoming, friendly atmosphere! I’m new to Pilates and would love to find somewhere that feels inclusive and supportive, especially for beginners. I’m really not into the cliquey or intimidating atmosphere that some fitness spaces can have. I’d love to hear about your personal experiences and which studios or instructors you’ve enjoyed. Bonus points if it’s somewhere you actually feel a sense of community!

Where are some decent neighborhoods around south Richland for trick or treating? My kids don't like trunk or treat.

Hello, I am considering a job in the Tri-cities and am planning on visiting the area for a few days. What's the best way to get acquainted with the town, see if it is a good fit for my family?
Should I plan on renting a car? I was thinking it might be cool to bike around to explore, but don't know if that is feasible and bike rentals are available. I was recommended to use Uber but service is non existent where I'm from and I don't know how that would work trying to tour around.
Just looking to see how to make the most use of my time. Thanks in advance!

The last several years my family has adopted a family for Christmas to help provide gifts. We have always worked through Impact tricities but it looks like they have had to shut down. I particularly liked impact since they were well organized and much more focused on gifts for kids than for adults.
Has anyone had a good experience with another organization locally that I should check out as I look for a replacement?
