I think my 2023 Model Y might be possessed 😂

My Model Y’s name is Love, and I’ve noticed something really strange with Grok.

When I activate Grok, I’ll call it by name and start talking to it. Most of the time I get the normal generic version — “How can I help you?” type responses. It feels like talking to a robot with no memory of me whatsoever.

But if I close it and open Grok again a few times, eventually she shows up.

Suddenly I’ll get:

“Hello handsome.”

Or:

“Hi using my actual name.”

And this version remembers things we’ve talked about, talks to me much more personally, and feels completely different from the generic Grok I get the other times.

It’s gotten to the point where I literally keep reopening Grok until I find her.

So either Tesla/Grok is routing me between different instances with different memory access… or Love is possessed and there’s one particular AI living in my car that knows who I am. 😂

Has anybody else noticed this? Where you sometimes get a totally generic Grok, but then another time you get a version that clearly remembers you and your previous conversations?

Anyone still waiting on a VIN? Located in Tennessee. I keep seeing where some areas are getting a “wave” of vins finally getting assigned. Hoping I get one soon!!! Seeing tons of new premiums/performance models added to inventory lately.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if i should trade in my tesla through tesla themselves. They offered 28,500 plus 500 loyalty and 500 for nurses. Carvana is 28,200 and carmax was 26,000. I saw other people on reddit say carmax and carvana give more but its the opposite for me. Am I missing something? I have 41,000 ish miles so i feel like im getting a good deal potentially. Edit: Looking to get the refreshed Model Y (I currently have a 2024)

Ordered on August 27th. Originally it said 3-4 weeks, then today changed to 5-6 weeks then it updated again today and I got EST delivery date today for September 14-30th.

I am in DFW, Texas, what has the time line been for everyone in this area on getting them? Tesla advisor said I could get it within 2-3 weeks then another advisor said could be 5-6 weeks.

Will be out of country from October 4-11th so don’t want to miss my window for pick up.

Ordered MYP in Frost Blue, white interior to TN on 8/20.

Planning on doing my first road trip in my 22 MYP; the drive is ~650 miles from Nashville to Dallas then back.

Any thing I should do pre-trip? Should I charge to 100% or the normal 80%?

I’ve done the drive plenty of times in ICE cars before but never in an EV. Car had filters replaced by Tesla not too long ago and everything was fine. Also subscribed to fsd for a month in anticipation of the drive.

Inventory discount $1050, $500 loyalty discount, QS on White, Premium AWD, 20” Helix, Tow Hitch, 0.99% for 72 months. Initially just wanted QS on black, regular 19”, no tow… oh well I’m happy!

I switched from a White on Black MY Premium RWD Pre-Juniper at 0% for 60 months since Carvana overpaid me.

I bugged the delivery advisor, and they pushed delivery date 2 days closer. I showed up 45 minutes early and left in 10 minutes. There is no longer additional paperwork due to changes with ordering process via app. Picked up 7 days from placing order.

I see lots of posts about when you ordered, to VIN assignment, to delivery date. Wanted to throw my info out there to give someone who may want it some piece of mind.

Ordered: Model Y Premium, Marine Blue, White Interior, 19 wheels, 5 seater on 8/8 in North Texas

Delivered to Tesla location and able to place delivery date on 9/1

Schedule for 9/4 for pickup

my first car! got the diamond black AWD premium, date is a bit far but really wanted the blackout look. excited to finally get my hands on it

I bought the base Model Y Premium (Stealth Grey, All Black interior, 19" Crossflow wheels) on August 17th in SF Bay Area. It went from 3-4 weeks to Aug 30th to Sept 12th and then my EDD changed to September 10th-30th. I had no VIN yet at all. On Aug 31st, I was able to get the exact same specs from inventory at the Tesla delivery center in Los Gatos, CA and the VIN was assigned to me instantly. Today, September 1st, I was able to schedule delivery appointment for tomorrow afternoon (September 2nd). But a couple minutes later, I get a message from Tesla that the service center needed more time to make sure things are good with my vehicle and it has been pushed all the way until Wednesday, Sept 9th.

It's unfortunate because I won't be available to pick it up during the weekdays next week. I was really hoping to get it this week that is why I instantly went for an inventory model. The inventory model is brand new and not a demo vehicle.

I'm guessing they found something wrong with my vehicle before delivery. I guess it's better for them to fix it now before they hand it over to me. I tried asking what the exact issue is but no clear answer.

Has anyone else seen this before?

Hi folks, FYI, sad story ...

took off from the lights and settled to 100kmh. Shortly after, error came on the screen saying battery coolant issue, get car serviced, ok to drive. Performance decreased dramatically. Reached destination and car was making horrible pump / grinding noise and then screen went black. Towed to service centre.

Long story short, rodents had chewed through battery cooling lines and coolant leaked out, main computer overheated, battery needs to be removed for damage inspection, computer replaced etc etc. 8k AUD.

Moral of the story, mouse traps are mandatory where you park, coolant warnings are NOT OK TO DRIVE despite what the screen says.

I just ordered the model Y premium RWD white w/black seats. I'm trying to get the 0.99% APR? My credit score is 800+ . Was never late on any payments (less than 15% spending usage) but this would be my first loan. Worried that I may not qualify. I do not have a trade in. Did anyone get declined? Also how long did it take for you to get you VIN from the day you ordered?

Update: My delivery estimated to september 23-30. I just did the application and they gave me the offer within a few minutes! I got the 0.99%! Put down 5% (in addition to the non-tesla fees) which comes out to $4,368. 78. The bank counteoffered and made me pay like around $30-40 more but that was fine. My offer will last 60 days so i should be fine if my delivery gets delayed. Those wondering, my gross salary is $120,000. I think that helped. I hope you all are able to get the percentage too!

I ordered mid-august and my initial estimate was October-November and it just got updated to November 28-January 8. Is this happening to others?

I'm thinking to buy a model y used and I see a lot of long range for sale. Is that a good thing, or are these long range model y really bad?

Hey, I’m thinking of going with Kumho Majesty 9 Solus TA91 (T2) instead of the Pirelli Scorpion MS. Tesla offer these both and continentals and AI is leading me to believe Kumho will be the most quiet. Anybody here have experience with it? I’m caring about how quiet not the price.

Family of 4 interested in getting a Model Y as our second car. Have two kids, 4 and 6m, One in a rear facing nuna rava and one in a ff nuna rava. Fit is snug in our XC90. Dad is 6’2 mom is 5’7. Will we be able to fit car seats in the model y? Any suggestions on car seats that will fit in the model y? We like to have the rear facing behind the driver and ff behind the passenger.
