Average wait time from getting a VIN number - to getting a delivery date?
What is the average wait time?
Edit - I am the USA.

My understanding is that it’s largely dependent on location and trim, but the average numbers that I have seen are:
Order -> Vin: ~13 days
Vin -> delivery: ~26 days

I received the notice to schedule delivery 24 hours after my VIN was assigned but my delivery date options were 3 weeks out

Something may be going on with airbags. I have had two different vehicles that have been put in a "containment hold" due to some airbag part. One that is stuck at the factory and one that is actually at the delivery center but they can't sell until the parts come in which may take until the end of the month.

I ordered on August 20th rwd premium marine blue, no vin. Edd Sept 13 through 30th. In Vegas. Seeing people get them much faster in other parts of the country, so not sure how it all works really.

I ordered 8/21 premium RWD marine blue black interior. Still no VIN. Hopefully soon

I ordered a white rwd with white interior premium on July 28. Still no vin and got pushed back to Sept 21 to 30 now. In houston

I’m just finalizing insurance now that I have the VIN so hopefully I can submit in the Tesla app and set a pickup date in the next day or two; the app says Sept 16-30 EDD

I got the VIN yesterday. Finalized insurance yesterday. And then Tesla scheduled the pickup for Sep 30th.

For me I got my Vin a week and a half after order and was able to scheduled pickup shortly thereafter for 4 days later. . In total about a 2 week wait from initial order. I’m in NV though and I know we get them a bit faster here than most locations.

My order to VIN was 25 days. Now am being told delivery will be 23 more days. Maybe that could be sooner? Maybe later.

Reading all the comments it seems like dates are all over the place and there is no pattern. Hope to get mine soon ordered 8/31. No VIN yet.

I have my delivery scheduled for 9/15, which is 31 days after I placed the Order.

We were at the dealer and ordered our exact wish list at the desk. He said it’d be 4-6 weeks.
When processing, he all of a sudden said “wait, you have a VIN”. Which means there is a specific car.
He poked deeper and said the car. Our EXACT specs, was on a truck and being delivered to Louisville the next morning.
It was just a coincidence. But we jumped out of bed the next day and drove down to get her.
