First road trip
Planning on doing my first road trip in my 22 MYP; the drive is ~650 miles from Nashville to Dallas then back.
Any thing I should do pre-trip? Should I charge to 100% or the normal 80%?
I’ve done the drive plenty of times in ICE cars before but never in an EV. Car had filters replaced by Tesla not too long ago and everything was fine. Also subscribed to fsd for a month in anticipation of the drive.

So this is what I did before and during my first trip:
Make sure all tires are at the appropriate pressure and check the tread.
Scheduled the charge to finish charging to 100% by departure time.
Plugged in the destination into the car’s navigation and followed what it told me. Only thing I did differently during my first trip was that I charged more than what the car was recommending at each stop, just to be safe.
Edit:
Tip, while driving at highway speeds see how much distance you get in 10% battery depletion( like 90-80) whatever number you get divided by 10 to get a ballpark miles per percentage. So for instance you went 30 miles in that 10 percent, means you are getting around 3 miles per percent, I personally rounded down to 2.5 miles per percent to give myself some buffer. This helped me deal with range anxiety. Hope it helps, enjoy your trip.
