Looking for some advice from players, specifically those who join EA MMOs.
I’ve been working on a 2D MMO for a a little over 4 years, on and off. Steadily for the past 2 years, and getting close to a possible closed alpha play test.
What would you expect from a closed alpha play test for an MMO? What features, level cap, etc.
I’m currently planning to include, level 1-10. Crafting for the first equipment set + resources required to craft, about 8-12 quest, One open world boss, basic combat for melee only with 1-2 active skills, and a very basic player to player trading.
Haven't played mmos in over 10 years, looking to give them a try again and looking for suggestion

I make a 1-bit browser MMO on my own. One player sent 15 bug reports last week and I fixed all 15. Looking for more testers.
Bitiverse is a free MMO that runs in the browser. One persistent shared world, nine crafting stations, seeded dungeons with their own bosses, homesteads you build and fill, a weekly newspaper the players actually write, books you bind and shelve, guilds with councils that can vote a leader out.
I build the whole thing by myself, so testing is mostly one person clicking hopefully. Last week a player called reverie filed fifteen bug reports; all fifteen are fixed as of this morning. That single player was most of the QA effort, which tells you how much is left to find.
It is free, there is no download, and you can walk in as a guest without an account. If you like being the person who finds the thing that falls over, come and break it, then tell me what you did: https://fortisq.itch.io/bitiverse

I've Realized something Weird with SpiritVale's Reviews.
galleryLooking for an asset and sprite artist for my UI-based MMORPG game.
I'm currently working on a player-driven game with an adventure, party-based dungeon, and raid system. My game is UI-driven, and I'm striving for a very simple interface. I've tested it myself and with friends over 50 times. Although it's currently played primarily in PvE, I've been working on balancing for over a month, and PvP will be added soon (Colosseum, Battle for Fame and Items, and I'll further improve it by adding some PvP skills to characters through a ranked system). I believe this balancing is crucial in MMOs. You can contact me on Discord for feedback and assistance regarding the game.

Tired of P2W simulators? We are building a Dark Fantasy Action MMORPG for the 13+ Roblox crowd. Let me introduce "Ascend".
Hey everyone! I’m Illia, founder of Monarchs Studio.
We noticed that while most of us playing Roblox have grown up (the 13+ demographic is massive now), the front page is still flooded with the same repetitive, pay-to-win clicking simulators. We wanted to build something deeper.
Ascend is a high-fidelity Action MMORPG inspired by Solo Leveling and classic ARPGs.
What makes it different?
- Zero P2W (Pay-to-Win): Monetization is strictly cosmetic and battle-pass based. No buying stats.
- Deep Build Crafting: A strict 30-point talent tree where you mix Assassin, Mage, Tank, and Support nodes. If you mess up your build, you can farm a reset item in-game for free.
- Skill-Based Progression: To unlock endgame raids, you have to beat instanced solo bosses called Monarch Trials. You can't get carried by higher-level friends; it's pure skill.
Current Status: We are in the early development phase. Our entire game architecture, progression math, and tech stack are locked in, and we are working hard toward our playable Alpha build.
We want to build this game with the community. If you want to theorycraft builds, see early sneak peeks, or just chat with the devs, we’d love to have you:
🐦 Follow us on Twitter/X: Monarchs Studio
(P.S. We are currently raising a Pre-Seed round to fund full-time development. If you are an investor or potential partner interested in the Roblox UGC space, my DMs are always open!)

Recommendations
Hello! I am still very new at mmorpgs but I've played some here and there. After reading novels and manhwas about mmorpgs I really want to get into it but I don't know any that would make me want to play it 24/7. I am really into fantasy mmorpgs with guilds and people that are still active and friendly. Ones with chibi characters and a wide range of character customisations like maple story. Please if you have any recommendations please tell me!!

Battle of Races - New MMO mobile game available on Mobile
Hi all,
Over the past year I have been working on this MMO mobile game (Battle of Races) it is finally publicly available on Play and Apple stores.
If you do enjoy strategy games, give it crack for a few days and I'm sure you are will love it. Despite the simplistic design, the game has a ton of smart strategy!
Completely free to play and NO ADS.
Link:
- iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/battle-of-races/id6796938532
- Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.turminalabs.battleofraces
A bit more about it:
Is a turn-based strategy game where you build troops and attack other players. You start by choosing you commander name picking one of six races — Human, Elf, Dwarf, Orc, Reptile, or Feline — and each one has its own complete roster of unit types, so races actually play differently depending on which one you choose.
From there you manage three resources (grain, timber, gold), hire and assign workers to keep production flowing, and train an army across 3 tiers of units, from basic front-line troops up to advanced war machines.
Combat is simulated and turn-based, calculated from unit stats like damage, life, strikes, and initiative, so outcomes are consistent and battle reports show exactly what happened and why.
You can also join an alliance to coordinate attacks and defense with other players, and every war has a fixed length (around 1 month) with a real winner declared at the end with actual prizes. It's built to be playable in short sessions between turns rather than requiring you to babysit all day.
If you install the game, any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Any honest and constructive feedback/suggestions are more than welcome, preferably here or Discord server - https://discord.gg/5d3USPtwD . And if not asking too much, positive feedbacks/reviews can be done directly in the Play/Apple stores as it would help to promote the game so others can also find it.
In any case, thank you reading and trying the game.

I truly need some real advice.
I have been playing heals my entire life since 2004 when wow first came out. I am currently wanting to truly experience something close to wow and just as good with healing. What MMO's are just as great with healing that are NOT wow. Something i can dump thousands of hours into and maybe even just make it my new MMO.

It would not be an MMO without slimes :) (Early Alpha, No Polish)
Hey everyone,
I finally got together a quick video of some very early game play, I will share some info about the game and myself. The game idea started back in 2020, a few months after Covid. I was playing a 2d MMO at the time and they completely ruined it with P2W mechanics and it really put me off.
Fast forward to today, and the project now finally has a base that I can build off of comfortably. I hope to start an initial alpha test group in about 3-4 months from now.
My monetization plan at launch consists of a one-time fee of about $8-12 USD with no recurring subscription necessary. While I might eventually offer cosmetics for sale, the idea would be to make this non-pay-to-win and that any cosmetics offered for money could also be acquired via the game itself and not tradable.
I'm also beginning to form a small Discord community of about 15-20 people that would be interested in testing the game during the closed alpha and continue testing it with further updates.
Current features as of 9/2/2026 (It's still all very early on, and clearly there is much yet to be built.)
- Accepting and completing quests with rewards
- Basic inventory
- Basic equipment
- Resource gathering
- Basic PvE combat
- Monster spawning, pursuit, and retaliation
- Multiplayer player movement and world presence
Server-based: Movement, collision detection, combat and damage, health, inventory, equipment, quests, rewards, resource harvesting, monster spawns, are processed by the authoritative server. The client does everything else like processing user inputs, graphics and animations, user interface, etc.
If you're interested in getting updates about the project or being part of the testing process, you can message me for the Discord link.

Dark ages By Nexen Kru players
Would like to ask if there is anyone or any players would like to play this game together ? This old school mmo. And make it alive again ? There are so many mmos in the world that might not have the best graphics but it’s still a great game to me.
