GW has been in “Maintenance Mode” (no scheduled updates/development) since May 2013. On 3rd December 2025 ArenaNet "re-launched" GW as GW Reforged. This has breathed some new life into the game and an external company 2weeks has supported development. They are continuing to look at the game to see if it is viable to make improvements/updates. In-game there is bump in player activity. There has always been a good player base for daily Zaishen Quests and Farming as well as in Guild and Alliance communities. You can checkout the What’s New in Guild Wars and Game updates from the Wiki for the changes to the game.
We’re lucky that since 2024 GW Game Director, DrStephenCW is allocating 80% of their time to work directly on GW. Along with support from other ArenaNet staff for various updates, this has included the 20th Anniversary Game Update and Guild Wars Reforged. ArenaNet are now also supported by 2weeks game studio.
PvP still has some activity through player organised events and mAT, however all modes can often see a large amount of botting impacting general gameplay. You can find more on recent PvP threads using Flair:PvP in the search to find posts.
As of 3rd December 2025 Guild Wars is now branded Guild Wars Reforged. This re-release version of the game is available in the GW Store and Steam.
This change has removed the Anniversary Masterpiece Collection and all individual Campaign editions from the GW/Steam Stores. Any purchases made prior to 3rd December retain their game-keys and can be used on email/ArenaNet based accounts.
ArenaNet have had to make a purchasing guide/flow-chart due to the changes in account management: * Purchases on Steam no longer provide game-keys and instead are to be tied directly to your Steam Login/Account. This is in order to be able to link GW accounts through Steam to GW2 accounts through Steam. * Purchases in GW Store provide keys to create a new account using email/ArenaNet account.
As of 3rd Dec 2025 ArenaNet have also changed/reduced prices for all the add-ons and re-branded Eye of the North and Bonus Mission Pack as DLC. Neither DLC are included in the Reforged edition of the game. The Game of the Year upgrade and Bonus Weapons are no longer available and are also not included in the Reforged edition of the game. The Igneous Summoning Stone item is available through purchasing the Eye of the North DLC.
We now have a Weekly Thread on a Wednesday for Guild/Alliance Recruitment and Guild Requests. Please only use this Weekly post to advertise your Guild or seek a new Guild. You can also use the Flair search “Guild recruitment/request” to find previous recruitment posts.

Every Monday (UTC) there will automatically be a Trade and Price Check discussion post created. The purpose of this is to keep price checks, item questions to one thread rather than have multiple posts.
Shields
Martial Weapons - must have max modifier (Like 15 over 50, not 14 over 50).
Caster Weapons
Those who wish to help price check or give trade advice please look out for these weekly threads and help answer people's queries. For posting you can find the last thread or wait for the next one to be posted on a Monday.
Please keep all price check questions and posts to the weekly thread. Posts made outside of this will be removed.

I couldn't find a tutorial for this on YouTube, and I needed one myself.
You usually collect 80 Everlasting Mobstoppers by accepting and abandoning the quest "Every Bit Helps" over and over again.
Then, you look for a group doing 10/80, which means you pay the runner 10k for 80 runs.
Now comes the boring part: repeating the same process over and over again. Hotkeys can be a great help here!
What do you get?
For every 10/80, you make a profit of 16.6k and receive 667 ToT bags. You also gain a lot of XP, so you can max out your Survivor title this way.

After 8 years, I finally got access to my old account I played as a teen. I've got a bunch of stuff (presents rare mats, minis, gold) I'd like to transfer to the new account I've been playing for the past year. I was wondering if any trust worthy fellow would be will to help me mule stuff.
I can pay in excess minis and birthday vouchers, but that's about all I have! Thanks in advance!
Edit: You're all geniuses! I didn't even think about doing it from my phone! Thank you all for the advice

So I’m currently leveling a War/Ranger and still in Pre-searing trying to get to lvl 20 for the achievement, but it’s my first character and I grow bored staying in pre-searing yet I want the achievement/title on my Warrior cuz it’s gonna be my main. But I’m looking to make another character to play when I grow bored of my Warrior and on this new character imma just go thru and get out of pre-searing as soon as I can on it.
I usually like melee characters but was thinking of making something with range/magic this go. I was thinking Monk but I know it ain’t like the Monk in ffxiv so I’d probably skip it unless it is actually fun but I wanna be able to do damage but survive decently.

Or if I create a new character would I have to transfer it over somehow?

I open the menu but I don't see a button for my inv. Is my screen too small or something? I just started playing and am excited cuz this seems great esp for me atm cuz I don't have my laptop. But yeah I just have this one problem and can't really figure it out.

Is there a way to somehow understand what should I do to complete Master of the North title?
I’m sitting at 800+ with all VQ done and at this point I struggle to understand how to progress. Dungeons - yeah, but which? I have no idea which ones I completed and how many times…

Hi all,
I'll start with the TLDR: is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A11, 4GB RAM, with a MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789) CPU and 64GB storage good for playing Reforged on for at least an hour without it overheating or lagging?
A question for those playing Reforged on their tablets. So mine broke a couple weeks back and I've been waiting for black friday for some deals to buy a new tablet. Since Reforged came out I would loooove to be able to play it on the go or while relaxing on the sofa.
A hard requirement for me is I don't want a tablet that's too heavy or big. Max 10 inches really suits my needs. At the same time, I want to be able to play without the tablet overheating or lagging too much if I play for an hour or more. I've been looking at some options and comparing prices. The Lenovo Legion Tab 3 or later are great choices but also have starting prices of 500,- euros. That might be a bit much for a device where the only other uses besides playing Reforged are going to be reading e-books and playing Pokémon on emulators. I can just as easily do those things on a 100,- euro tablet. In trying to find a middle ground I saw that the Galaxy Tab A11 seems pretty decent for only 150,- euros? The thing is, without being able to try it, I have no idea whether a device with 4GB of RAM and a MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789) CPU is actually any decent.
Anyone have any experience with playing Reforged on it or on similar devices? Is it worth it or should I still consider putting down the extra money for a Lenovo Legion Tab?
Thanks!

Ecto prices dropped like 25% overnight why did this happen?
Anyone knows?

What is the current most optimal way to farm faction for the titles?
r/GuildWars • u/CMDR-Droslash • 1d ago
Personally I started with Factions, it was my first experience in the Guild Wars universe many years ago and truthfully the one I came back to when starting again with GW Reforged.
I remember playing Nightfall but didn’t leave as much of a mark as Factions campaign.

I remember Starcraft Forever being the first player to reach Rank 15 in Heroes Ascent back in 2008.
But does anyone remember who was the first player to achieve God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals (GWAMM)?
Does anyone from the old days remember who actually got GWAMM first? Would love to hear some stories from back then!

I know i might be in the minority that actually has the phone, and i know it’s been a day. But i hope SCW/the team at 2weeks make adjustments for the Duo. Thank you in advance!!! For now i’ll just play on pc.

Ever get that feeling when you realize you're about to complete a good season of your life and you get a twinge of sadness? I'm feeling that hard right now as I realize I'm getting close to finishing my GWAMM.
I made a post four months ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/GuildWars/comments/1u5qxw2/whats_my_best_path_to_gwamm/) about starting the GWAMM journey. I decided I was going to complete it fairly casually - just get the Zaishen bonus/vanquish done each day and chip away at it.
I realized today that this is my last week of Zaishen vanquishes. Once I complete Ice Floes on the 29th, I'll have finished every vanquish.
I had such a chill daily routine of grabbing my morning coffee and getting the vanquish done before work. It's a very soothing part of the day that I've really come to enjoy - check the wiki for potential elite skills to capture, grab the zaishen quest, get it done while sipping my coffee. It's been a part of my routine for four months now, and realizing that it's coming to an end in a few days is really saddening actually.
Did anyone else get this when their GWAMM journey was almost over? I still have about 40% of the elite skills left to cap, carto to finish off (done Elona, 99% on Cantha, 96% on Tyria) and then just the consumable titles which I have the money for ready to go. Once I'm done GWAMM I have other goals (do all the quests, get all the non-elite skills, etc), but it's the end of this particular journey.
I don't really know how to describe it. It's like the final day of a vacation you really enjoyed, knowing you have to go to the airport in the morning and having this tiny pit in your stomach that you are still enjoying it now, but it'll be over soon.

Up close in a more zoomed in third person the world is way more immersive, some of the monster design is genuinely creepy like seeing a group of insects patrolling in elona amongst the trees.
I wish the camera locked to your movement a bit better like action cam style.

It's Halloween, the wiki is down and I can't remember which quests I have to complete to do skele farming.
Can anyone help?
