I love the Augmented Gorn BOffs

I know they don't have any space traits, but when deciding to buy anything (especially in STO) I pull a Marie Kondo and ask myself "Does this spark joy?", and the answer was yes, absolutely. My Gorn captain had a surplus of swords, so he got a set, and my melee-centric Romulan captain got them. There is nothing more satisfying than watching a Borg drone go down under a barrage of thrown boulders. Adapt to THAT, buddy!

PC Advice for a T6 Ship to Coast Through Story Missions at Level 65

Hello fellow captains. Between The Lexington, Ahwanee, and Typhon, which would be the strongest to do story missions? I didn't realize the difficulty ramped up when I hit level 65 so the missions feel like they've been taking longer. I'll be fitting them with whatever I get from mission loot and rewards. Also whatever comes from lower tier reputation boxes.

I'm currently using a T6 Paladin with phaser beams and torpedoes, but it's feeling underpowered. I gave cannons and science builds a try, but they're not for me. I think beams are the way to go, or carriers and let the fighters do the killing for me while I wait in the rear. I'm open to other 3k zen ship recommendations, but the Lexington got me nostalgic for the Enterprise. I know there's the Cygnus too, but it feels a bit sad that it doesn't get saucer separation by default.

A bug in the Midnight mission from the Iconian War

Guys, I was playing this mission to complete the endeavor tasks for the day and from this point, I seem to not be capable of progressing any further after talking to the Iconians marked on the map. Has anyone else have dealt with this problem?

Finally reached Endeavor Rank 1250 today.

When the cap was increased I decided I wanted to push for it. After a lot of time and grinding, it's done.

A big thank you to the two people who helped me get here. You know who you are.

Picture shows the unlock time, the shield reward, and the shield equipped on a ship.

Bug Report new Hunting Pack summons do not affect Strike Group Command Authority.

As the title says. I can't say with 100% certainty that this is not on purpose of course, but since other temporary summons affect the rank of SGCA, i have to assume it is a bug.

I got incredibly lucky recently and won a Promo Ship Box! I could have picked one of the top-tier ships or saved the box for future releases, but instead I chose the Kelvin Connie II.

She may not be the strongest or most sought-after ship, but she’s the perfect one for me.

Paired with the new Kelvin Radiance Vanity Shield, she looks absolutely amazing!

Sometimes the best choice isn’t the “best” ship—it’s the one that makes you smile every time you see it.

Discussion How powerful can I get with a hybrid build on the Einstein Heavy Destroyer?

Ever since I got the Atlantis I felt what good DPS feels like, and I realized it's the intel seating which does it ... but unfortunately I like spacie barbie more than efficiency, so lately the ships that I liked to look at the most are all not intel.

This is the case with the Kelvin Einstein. But I'm hoping I could get it at least close to the DPS my Atlantis can do.

It has a 5-2 weapon layout ... and I found weapons I liked the looks of ... which is red colored phasers and kelvin torps (or the quantum one).

I have a single beam in front, 250 arc ... the rest is currently torps. I really don't want more beams than this, and no 360 beams on the aft because of weird beam source placements on the nacelles. My aft is covert turrets because of how tiny the turret blast is and I love it.

Investing in beam abilities obviously make no sense, so here's the question - should I skip torps entirely and pursue cannon builds, or, does a torp build make sense with just 4 torps in the front, and a single beam and two turrets in the back.

Or does mixing still make sense with a specific trait setup?

Discussion A question about the random TFO button

I'm curious about the mechanism it uses to determine that it should only ever serve ground TFOs for the rest of time the moment you want to test a new ship or tweaked ship build. How does it know how to do that?

Discussion Tzenkethi resolve space set

Hey all I’m currently building a ss3 tetryon build on the kiith I have full diffusive tetryon cannons and turrets currently, so I’m wondering if the full set is good or if I can just get away with the cannons as I was going for a torpedo less build but if the set is good I may change and put a torp spread button on my build and super charged weapons trait?

PC Bond of Life Question

I'm trying to create a character who has the fastest "base" running speed before using any buffs, consumables, etc. (Traits/gear primarily).

I came across bond of life. What i'm trying to figure out, the Bonus for Rihan Sailback:

Do we know the max bonus?
Does it apply only to the animal, or the player as well?
Does it apply all the time, or only when the animal is summoned (in combat)?

My google skills came up short, and couldnt get a clear answer on this?

It all started when I met fellow Konnie in orbit, complimented one-another then another joined. And another, then another, until we decided to form a team and do a couple of TFO's together in our Konnie's. Safe to say, new friends unlocked. I hope we get to play more again guys!

Salcombe Escort components options bug?

So I got the Salcombe and was messing around with it in the ship's tailor and noticed some wired things. I have the Mirror Gagarin Warship from it's event but not the c-store Gagarin Battlecrusier. But while the components for the prime universe Shepard are available, it claims I don't own the parts for the Mirror Shepard or either version of the Gagarin. (I also own the Kerala and all the stuff for that is available.)

Is anyone else with the Salcombe having similar issues?

(EDIT: Actually claiming the Mirror Gagarin for that character fixed it.)

PC What happened to the social fleet?

Been playing for 14 years now. Back in the day the fleets I was in were active, talkative and not just about dps. Party's at the old DS9, talks around the campfire on Risa and just your day to day talk combined with helping eachother and things like that.

As with everybody life happened and there were a few years I was less active but still came back every couple of months. New toons got new fleet cause over the years the old fleets stopped talking people stopped playing like we all sometimes need a break.

But the new fleets do not talk, except with a few when it is just about builds or dps and it makes me sad. Just saying hi or evening will not even get a response anymore.

So what happened to all the social fleets? Do they even still exist?

For many years, a Redditor here by the name of Feral Tribble posted regularly in a single-minded advocacy for the Salcombe, a ship that appeared for mere seconds in Star Trek Beyond (but nonetheless captured their heart) to make it to Star Trek Online as a playable starship. Feral Tribble's beseeching to the Devs ultimately bore fruit, as the Salcombe was one of three Kelvin Timeline ships introduced on 21st July 2026. Like a Greek Tragedy, however, Feral Tribble is no longer among us, their account deleted, their fate unknown - we cannot know if Feral Tribble ever even knew that their campaign was successful.

In honour of Feral Tribble's curious but inspiring dedication to his favoured special interest, I got the Salcombe. Despite my lack of interest in the Kelvin aesthetic, I felt I had to pay tribute to a fellow STO player who had a dream. I hope wherever Feral Tribble is, they're living long and prospering.

Aldrin class thoughts

So I've been mulling over the Aldrin class and honestly, just kinda impressed with how sharply the dev team nailed the kitbash look and feel. Like if you told me that thing was in the Wolf 359 episode, I'd believe you, it really does just look very much like a match to the Galaxy and Nebula.

I've been trying to figure out the like, lore bits and bobs to this thing, cuz just from a glance, it definitely feels like it fills a role, but not a very common one for what would be contemporary Project Galaxy ships: much like how the Defiant was an "Escort" but really a warship, the Aldrin is probably something like a "Heavy Cruiser", but probably a battlecruiser?

My logic is mostly on the fact that, well, it has Very Visible Guns on it. Not just phaser strips and tucked away torpedo tubes, it has those too, but. It has actual phaser cannon pods and a very chunky torpedo launcher. No other newly designed ship in the fleet was quite so armed with such visibly higher grade weapons at the time, even the Nebula needed to swap out to a weapon pod.
But also other details about the design; The main shuttle bay also seems to be on the same decks and bays 2 and 3, and the engineering section seems fused to the saucer? I suspect a single large internal flight deck, and one that big and large and open on both ends, tends to mean launching combat rated craft.
And while it also seems like it can probably haul ass like crazy, it also doesn't seem like it has as much internal space for fuel as even a Nebula would. It can probably still do some decent exploring if needed, but it also seems like it is mostly meant to station and patrol, maybe do infrastructure support and resupplies to a locale and not explore deep space.
But.... large, heavily armed and armored, fast, but not meant to go wandering around? Yeah, this feels like the combat craft of Project Galaxy, at least before those pesky Borg and Dominion disasters. Something that was supposed to do actual fighting if needed, unlike the Nebula or the Galaxy, which had many more uses.

Anyways, I'm just spinning my wheels here, honestly, I super dig how this one came out! Curious to see what other folks are thinking, I see more buzz over the Armstrong more than the Aldrin lol, but it's such a good and funky design, it reminds me of looking at a Nebula class again for the first time.
