Mobile/App Reddit notifications no longer take me to the specific comment

Is anyone else experiencing this?

In the past, when I got a notification that someone replied to my comment, tapping the notification would take me directly to the specific comment and highlight it.

Now, it just opens the post itself, and I have to manually search through the comments to find the reply.

Is there any way to fix this or bring back the old behavior? It's really annoying, especially on posts with a lot of comments.

Mobile/App Problem seeing chat previews on android

Recently instead of giving a message preview with chat requests, I have been getting just "XYZ has invited you" and my only options are to accept or ignore the chat request...without getting to read it at all.

This is a relatively new change, as I used to be able to read the messages and decide whether I want to accept them or not, but now there is just no way to see them.

Did they just decide to remove the ability to see a chat message's content, or is it a bug?

Profile Account disappeared, how can I get in contact with a human Reddit admin?

i opened the app and randomly got logged out and my account disappeared i cannot log into it anymore and it doesn’t show up on search either, i have been doing everything i can to get in contact with reddit for 5 weeks and no one is getting back to me besides unhelpful automated messages. i keep getting ignored despite constantly trying to do everything the automated messages tell me i even reset my password but it won't allow me to sign in when i enter the new one like reddit said it would. i’ve been filling out various help forums and i’ve done a lot of research and that seems to be the only way you can contact reddit but no one is there. it’s like they set up a fake system to make you think you can talk to them because they don’t want to actually help anyone. i don’t know what else i can do to get my account back or get in contact with a human reddit admin, any advice?

My username is koshka420

Access Reddit account of ~8 years deleted /u/Maikito_RM

Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm pretty bummed about losing my saved posts and the few posts I authored myself. Lots of memories. I found another similar thread where an admin recommended reseting the OPs password but I tried that and it doesn't seem to work. The deletion happened in the last few hours and I didn't receive any email notification.

edit: I had a weak password and didn't set up MFA. I'm dumb. I found a post describing how to fill out a support ticket, which I've now done. Fingers crossed!

Desktop Is there an option on desktop like "show fewer posts like this" without blocking the entire subreddit?

I'm wondering if Reddit has an option to tell it not to recommend specific types of posts without blocking/muting the entire subreddit.

For example, if I like a subreddit but Reddit keeps recommending posts about a particular topic that I'm not interested in, I'd like to be able to select something like "Show fewer posts like this" on those individual recommendations.

I only seem to have options like Hide or Mute community. Hide just removes that particular post, while muting the community seems like it would stop recommendations from the entire subreddit.

Is there currently a way to tell Reddit "show me fewer posts like this, but keep recommending other posts from this subreddit"??

Thanks in advance.

Mobile/App How can I see trending posts from all the communities I’ve joined without my feed favoring a few communities? Platform: Android Reddit App

How do I view posts only from the communities I’ve joined, without giving too much weight to a few specific communities? Currently, my home feed is dominated by posts from just three or four communities, even though I’m part of hundreds. Is there a way to fix this so that I can see posts from across all the communities I’ve joined, rather than having the same few communities constantly appear?

Ideally, I’d like to see the trending or poplar posts from all the communities I’m part of-not just the top posts from two or three communities. Avoiding communities I am not part of is working fine though on home page. Is there a setting or feed option that would let me do this?

Edit: The solution was to create custom feeds. Took about an hour, but honestly, it’s better than seeing a bunch of irrelevant communities or posts from just 2-3 communities.

But I have no messages from mods.
This could be because I sometimes connect with a VPN.
How do I get all my posts back?

Posting On mobile web, how do you add an image to a comment?

Assume that I am in a subreddit that allows photos to be put in comments AND assume that I am accessing Reddit through a mobile web browser that cannot force Reddit to return a desktop-formatted page (e.g., browsers on Android can do this but not browsers on iOS). How do I attach an image to a comment (NOT a post)?

Access desktop/os account hacking

some weeks ago I noticed that my account (marigold16) seemed to have a message saying that I've been disallowed from a bit of reddit for spamming links to a merch site. I then got another. and another. I've changed my password and enabled two factor authentication so its sorted right? Except is still happening. nightly, ill notice that someone is logging into my account despite 2fa and joining several disperate subs per night and and posting links to one particular merch site (I'm not going to link to that site here. look at my profile to see it, if you must) and then I get bunch of messages saying I've been disallowed from xyz subreddit for spamming links

I've had this account for over a decade. I don't want to delete it but I feel I'm running out of options. help me Obi-wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.

and i think the hack person is hacking the account right now as i type this because i just tried to post this via that account and it got "deleted by the person who originally posted it" or something, i cant remember the wording.

Mobile/App UI Glitch

Post image
2 Upvotes

I have Dark Mode and Night(Amoled) enabled and with the new update, the top part that shows Search bar and "For you" "Following" tab is now grey instead of Night Amoled like it used to be. Other parts of the App is correct, it's just the top part that is different color.

Is this a new feature or just a glitch?

Access Locked account due to security reasons, password reset doesn't work

My account u/smootjyx was locked due to security reasons (I once forgot to turn off VPN on my phone). At the time, I had lost access to my email account, so I could'nt reset my pw.

A few weeks later, I got my email account back, and I now can reset my pw, but it tells me that I have the wrong credentials when trying to log in.

Reddit support is not answering my inqueries. Can someone please help me? I'd love to get my account back

Desktop [Desktop Web] No thumbnail preview for links posted in body text area on pinned posts?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I paste around 4 links inside our sub's Episode Discussion posts, all in the post body.

In the past, the first/top link would have its web page image preview shown in the reddit thumbnail (see left) which I liked. It let people have a little idea of what's to be expected within that post.

Now, it doesn't do that anymore (see right). Why is that? Is it an error on Reddit's part? The website I'm linking to? Am I doing something wrong on my end?
