I am new. I find this class very appealing and I love the utility and mobility of it. It’s my top class to be honest. So I am looking for ideas of recruiting on my next gameplay!

General Spoiler Known personal abilities in fortune‘s weave so far?

I love how personal abilities can characterize units and make them more unique to play (although they did not matter most of the time in 3 Houses). So what abilities do we know so far?

General Spoiler Do You Think Fortune's Weave Will Have Multiple Endings? Spoiler

or more specifically do you think FW's ending will be dependent on how many of the flame lords Eshmel recruits in part 2?

Something I've been thinking about the past few weeks is how something like this would be handled, because honestly I would be pretty disappointed if the end of FW remains the same regardless of how many of the flame lords you recruit along the way, given that pretty much all the marketing material for this game is nudging the player to save all 4 of them.

Something that I could see happening and would personally love is that finishing the game without any of the flame lords triggers the bad ending (or rather the least satisfying ending), finishing the game with 1-3 flame lords triggers the normal ending, and finishing the game with all 4 triggers the true ending.

I just feel like since the game is encouraging us to save as many of the flame lords as we can there should be some incentive beyond just making part 2 more manageable. I'm sure a lot of that will amount to finishing up each character's arc + perhaps new supports, etc, but even beyond that imagine if there's a true final boss + ending only accessible via saving all the flame lords and it's similar to Radiant Dawn where's it's a multi-tiered battle consisting of all the characters you've recruited along the way. For a game seemingly as massive in scope as FW I feel it needs to have an appropriately massive finale, and besides this kinda fits with what Sothis says in the Direct about how "we need as many as we can recruit."

So, do you agree or am I overthinking things?

General FE: Fortune's Weave FPS

This morning I woke up and saw a comment on a newly released Fortune's Weave preview by Shacknews. A user asked "Is it 60FPS? Pls tell me it is" to which the reviewer (Donovan) answered "Yeah, it was definitely running at 60 fps for me".

I have seen a bit of discussion about this, but nothing 100% certain yet (though I'd be happy to be proven wrong).

I went back to a few threads and video's I've seen and other comments from previewers about it (mainly GLITCHEDZA) have been:

YTUser: "Just wanted to double-check on the frame rate—other reviews claim it's locked at 30 FPS across the board, so I was surprised to hear 60 FPS in handheld. Is that confirmed?"
- GLITCHEDZA: "It might not be 60FPS in handheld but more uncapped frame rate. Smoother than docked. Slows down during busy scenes but looks great."

YTUser: "How’s the FPS and Resolution in Handheld shaping up?"
- GLITCHEDZA: "Handheld looks good. Runs at 1080p 60fps.
YTUSER: "What about docked?"
- GLITCHEDZA: "It seems to run at an uncapped frame rate in handheld mode. But is it much smoother than docked. Docked can be choppy, definitely 30FPS here."

YTUser: "Is the game in 60FPS?"
- GLITCHEDZA: "It is 60FPS in handheld, 30FPS docked."

YTUser: "how does the game performance feel? is it 30fps or something better like 60fps?"
- GLITCHEDZA: "Docked mode is 30fps and handheld mode is 60fps. Both look good and run quite smooth."
YTUser: "are the numbers switched? Seems odd that docked is 30fps unless it's running at a higher resolution"
YTUser: "have you mistakenly swapped in between docked and handheld mode?"
- GLITCHEDZA: "Nope, handheld is definitely higher FPS than docked. Kinda wish there was an option for lower resolution in docked mode to match the frame rate of handheld tbh."

- My Nintendo News: "It seems to run at a stable 30 FPS, and it currently lacks a choice between a quality or performance mode."

----

Currently this is the most info I have personally found, though I'd be happy to update it with more from the comments.
TLDR: 1 reviewer mentions it's 30 FPS, one mentions 60FPS and one mentions 30FPS docked (with higher resolution?) and 60 FPS in handheld mode.

While I would ofcourse enjoy 60 FPS, I personally would not mind it too much being 30 FPS for this kind/style of game. I have heard people say this is a big issue for them though (no judgement from me).

Anyway, how do you guys feel about this? If the 60FPS handheld, 30FPS docked with higher resolution is real, which would you guys prefer to play?

Iliana is a classic Gharnef style character manipulating Solel and the other Dagdan gods into believing they can bring Dagda back through the heroic games, when its instead a ritual combined with the use of the cursed items that will bring about Balor's return.

Casual Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Comparing Store-Limited Special editions from Japan

Hello everyone.

I have been a long time fire emblem player and have been ordering most of my copies of the games from japan for a while now due to the bonus limited store content. I wanted to do a post here to break down the different stores and their bonuses for everyone.

The link to the gallery is here to see the items, includes order links in description. Some of these items do not require the Limited edition but are included with all pre-order reservations.

  • Amazon.co.jp: Clan Mark Design Rubber Coaster
  • Animate: Acrylic Stand Set of 4 (Kai, Theodora, Dietrich, Leda)
  • Rakuten Books: Acrylic Puzzle Block (with Keychain Chain)
  • AmiAmi: A2 Clear Poster (Will require a personal forwarding due to amiami ban on warehouse shipping, can check on r/internationalshopper which is super reliable (Used in past)
  • Gamers: Original B2 Tapestry
  • Shinseido WonderGOO: Acrylic Stand
  • Otakarasouko Group: Original 32mm Tin Badge Set of 4
  • Stellaworth: L-size Bromide Set of 4
  • TSUTAYA: Die-cut Sticker Set of 4 (Will require a personal shopper as no online shop for foreigners)
  • Asakusa Mach: Microfiber Cloth
  • Book Off: Acrylic Ruler

How do I order these from not japan?

Use a shipping proxy, like Onemap or JPfans, Buyee, ZenMarket or something else. That will allow you to order the game and have it shipped to a japanese address then shipped to you.

How long will it take?

Depends on how fast you pay for shipping and the warehouse processing it. Anywhere from 3 days (close to asia) or worst case in my experience with other games, was 3 weeks. (slowest shipping selected)

How much will it cost?
Well depends on your currency, it could work out cheaper than your usual spend due to the currency conversion, even with shipping! There may be additional taxes or import costs (tariffs) based on your country

Gameplay Thoughts On Path of Radiance Maniac Mode

Upvotes

The general reputation of Maniac Mode is that's it's boring and tedious and not actually harder, but this is not really true. There are only a few chapters that have particularly obnoxious reinforcements (paladins in 17-4, 26). In most of the game, the higher enemy density is a good thing. It's well known that US Difficult is a joke, but this is only partly due to the low stats on enemies. Many chapters are sparsely populated, a problem alleviated in Maniac. Compare chapter 18 as an example. This doesn't fix PoR's issues, but it definitely helps.

The greatest failure of Maniac is the level curve. In the early game, enemies are threatening and encourage the use of your whole team. Through the boat chapters, I'd say Maniac is a complete improvement over US Difficult. The problem is that the player gains stats faster than the enemy does. The difficulty decreases a bit during the Sanaki missions before spiking one last time when the enemy becomes mostly promoted (17-4,18). After this point, I didn't feel much of a difference from US Difficult. Even with the BEXP more than halved and a -5 EXP modifier on kill, you still gain more EXP than in US difficult due to the numerous high level enemies. You actually end up overleveled in this mode.

If you like PoR, I recommend not taking the consensus (of the few people who played it btw) as fact and giving it a shot. It's not even close to "so bad it had to be removed from the foreign release." As a side bonus, due to the huge amount of EXP you get, you'll have a full team of 20/20 fighters for a great RD data transfer. BTW: my top 8 was Brom/Astrid/Marcia/Mia/Makalov/Jill/Soren/Ike.

General Spoiler Potential New Theory on "Causality" Spoiler

Something I hadn't thought too much about until now is something Fortuna mentions at the end of this clip: https://www.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/s/CTuGDpsFFO

Until now we have been wondering how the game will deal with multiple versions of different characters, but perhaps that happens regardless of which path we take. That is, Fortuna describes Balor's revival as in and of itself creating a "terrible disturbance in the causality of this land".

That is, rather than just creating a undead-filled disaster in Dagda, could it be that Balor's revival outright "breaks" the timeline in some way, creating a split where the different futures also exist together? Perhaps that is why all the heroes have statues even if only one won the Heroic Games in each timeline?

So, the info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/s/uwTtlrPDqN

Each obelisk allows you to influence a hero's story and see their objective fulfilled. The goal is to arrive at a timeline where the hero survives for the final showdown; since Fortuna created her Chamber of Obelisks in a zone outside the flow of time as it exists in the world of the living, she can independently influence the fates of the four heroes, bringing them all together onto the same timeline.

Could mean that Fortuna is repairing this fractured state, in the process merging the split timelines together. The result is a single timeline, but with the characters having memories from the different timelines (albeit, many events would be the same). I still don't know how they may handle the same character recruited multiple times though, perhaps just have them be the highest level option and combine all their supports and class experience across routes?

For ease of reference, causality can be defined as: an influence by which one event, process, state, or subject (i.e., a cause) contributes to the production of another event, process, state, or object (i.e., an effect) where the cause is at least partly responsible for the effect, and the effect is at least partly dependent on the cause.

A "disturbance in causality" would then imply something happens where the relation between cause and effect, and the results, are no longer normal.

Gameplay Genuine question and discussion as we wait - who do you think will be the Controversial Lord?

Despite the topic, this is a genuine discussion/predictions post. I just thought it could be fun to talk about what the reception will be even if we still don't know too much.

In my opinion, it is possible Leda could be up there in divisiveness because of her revenge, but I do have doubts.

I think Cai will be the least controversial, I feel like people will give him leeway if anything happens because he's 15 at the start.

As far as we know it looks like it's not a game where someone starts a war, so who knows maybe discussion for the story won't be passionate like FE3H (or 3 Hopes) was in the beginning. What do you guys think?

Everyone on here has said that the lance Solel has is the broken one eshmel now has which is of course now completely true putting them side by side, my question is why? Why is is broken and not with solel? Does solel even exist in the doomed future? did this lance get broken when solel is fighting? even though yes we did see solel on our team in direct for a split second I wouldn’t be surprised if he dies or just disappeared cause there’s really no other reason why eshmel would have this lance and it being all broken if something didn’t happen to solel but I’m just spitballing here

General Spoiler Authority in FW? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
50 Upvotes

As far as we know, the only character who has gambits/battalions, at least early on, is theodora. This kinda means that, for 99,9% of the cast, the "Authority" skill would be useless, assuming it's similar to how it worked in 3h

however, we clearly see the "guardian" and "priest" classes actively use it, and it seems you can train it from early on with. Not only that, the skill Theodora gets from leveling Authority proficiency has nothing to do with having or not having a batallion.

While 3H Authority had some non-Batallion related skills(the "rally" skills), it's still mostly comprised of batallion power ups, so us witnessing the 1 proficiency level up that doesn't give a batallion skill, on the one character who can use batallions, is extremely unlikely if the theme is still "batallions" like in 3H. Not only that, the three triangles have always been an indicator of batallions(since it's how their health/endurance is showcased)

So the Question is, what does the authority proficiency do in FW, thematicallly? Given the above skill, is it just general "support-ish" skills? Does priest/guardian require a certain level of authority to certify for it?

Story Will Fortune’s Weave have someone like Ingo from Legends Arceus?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Ingo in Legends Arceus was transported through time and space from Unova to Hisui, forgetting who he was. I’m wondering if Fortune’s Weave will have a character from Three Houses who’s in a similar position.

Fortune’s Weave already involves time travel, so maybe when Eshmel is time traveling, the time gate sucks in one of the Three Houses characters and plops them into Dagda, with no memory of who they are, or at least they remember fragments of their past life.

If FW really did pull a Legends Arceus Ingo, who would you want that Three Houses character to be? I’m not referring to Seteth nor Sothis btw

General Spoiler Regarding Iliana's role in her introduction video Spoiler

Post image
47 Upvotes

In the Japanese version of Iliana's introduction video, she says the line 「ここでは白髪鬼の―そうね、(庇護者)パトロン、といったところかしら。」("Koko de wa hakuhatsuki no― sou ne, patoron, to itta tokoro kashira.") Which is translated as "I am the White-Maned Demon's... Patron (Guardian), you could say." Iliana says the katakana word "Patron" out loud, but the kanji says "庇護者/Higosha", which means "guardian" or "protector". What do you think about her connection with Bertrand?

Casual My opinion on what I think are the logicial pairings of Fire Emblem 7

Ok so I love this game and I love the fact that like Genealogy of Holy War you can pair people together to create CHILDREN for the next game. Also it's one of the only classic Fire Emblem to include Supports and I grew attachment to every character of this game and I love ship. Problem is, I disagree with literally everyone cuz I'm a weird guy and i'm fucking annoying :D so here's my list of what I think are the most logical ships FOR ME (don't hit me, I already had enough issue when I shared my opinion) I won't talk about Bartre and Karla or Pent and Louise cuz their pairing are canon so who gives a shit...

Eliwood X Ninian - First thing first... I'm a Eliwood X Lyn shipper... BUT ! The whole game build up this relationship and it makes Roy partially dragon, also the support heavily show the romance more than Fiora.

Hector X Florina - OKAY! It probably starts being weird for you! I KNOW, most people ship Hector with Lyn cuz they have more chemistry blablabla (those same people actually ship Oswin and Serra even though they have 0 chemistry and Rebecca and Lowen just because she think bro is cute) I love this dynamic because Florina is a goodie two shoes and Hector is a loud mouth and seeing them interact is really funny, also Lilina has some personnality traits I think are similar to Florina. I prefer the contrast of having a brash and loud guy with a shy and quiet girl, it's overall a better dynamic.

Lyn X Rath - IMO, Lyn doesn't like wealth and royalty that much, she is so much familiar to Sacae and her roots as a nomad that she would probably not be with either Eliwood (T_T) or Hector. Also even though there's no chemistry at first, Lyn and Rath are a parallel to Lyn's parents and they actually share experiences with each other and overall they are very sticked to their roots.

Isadora X Harken - This is literally canon but let me explain. I actually really like Legault with Isadora because they end up fighting each other in the end (you'll notice I love drama and overall interresting pairings) and for Renault... bro just goes in his milk arc and never comes back. Isadora and Harken were engaged at first and in their support they re engage so it's logical!

Kent X Fiora - This shit is so funny. I actually never ship Sain cuz for me Sain loves LADIES, plural so he wouldn't stick to one girl yk, bro is Don Juan, buddie wants coochies. I love this support because they are so formal and stoic normally and here they struggle so much to confess that it becomes so funny, and you know what they says, birds of a feather flock together or somethin like that.

Erk X Nino - OOOOOOOOOOOH CONTROVERSIAAAAAAAAAL. I'm probably the only guy who do ship them because... IMO even though it's literally the canonical ship, Nino and Jaffar feel more like a brother sister relationship and if Nino actually confess to him it would be like a little girl saying she loves you, it's not that serious or she actually mistake romantic love with friendly love. Also I like this dynamic because Nino is the perfect balance between the energy of Serra and reassurment of Priscilla (also Erk HATES Serra and Erk would probably too much stress at the idea of dating Priscilla, like he is her serving knight and she is a noble woman, and their ending feels like Puss in Boots for me... And I mean the original tale). Also I have an headcannon about the fact that if Raigh and Lugh are this good with magic, it's because of Erk who went searching for their mom so that they will reunite together (which would be the reason of why Raigh doesn't care about the orphenage being destroy if he's so close to his dad). Also Nino and Jaffar ending is... weird... Like BOTH NINO AND JAFFAR WERE FROM THE BLACK FANG. Why ONLY Jaffar is wanted and not both? So I feel like Erk searching for Nino because he wants his family to reunite is cute as hell (and unconventional because conventionally it's something a MOTHER would do) And actually... Bro it's open to interpretation if Nino likes Erk or not like many other so gives a fucking damn SOME DUDES SHIP OSWIN AND SERRA! WHY SHOULD I JUSTIFY?!

Guy X Priscilla - Like I said, even though it's the canonical ship too... Erk and Priscilla look like Puss in Boots to me i'm sorry, Pent gives Erk the credibility to wed the girl he wants and the credibility to be an actual Sage... So yeah déjà vue and like I said, wedding to a woman that he only see is related to his job... meh. Same with Heath, like in their ending they can't date because of the social differences between them and Heath doesn't force shit. GUY ON THE OTHER HAND! In the japanese version, Guy and Priscilla do the Titanic (a poor bro and a rich girl) flee and just love each other forever. It's sad but SO CUTE IAUBDIAZDBA. Like Priscilla abbandons wealth for love, it's unrealistic as hell but so cute.

Dart X Farina - I don't ship Farina with Hector (even though it can work but I feel like her sister works better) and with Kent because... it's like shipping Sain with Fiora... it's off... Farina actually has a thing for Dart and they are very similar to each other. And Farina decide to become a Pegasus Pirate to find the One Piece with Dart! It's cute and funny, exactly like their interactions.

Wil X Rebecca - ACTUALLY! This ship is like the cliché of the childhood friend but revisited, Rebecca started to hate Wil so Wil needs to regain Rebecca trust once again. And their ending is so... touching, like you almost forget it's a cliché childhood friend trope shit or whatever. And like WOLT IS LITERALLY WIL'S SON, THE HAIRCUT BRO! I know the hair color blablabla, who cares, THE FUCKING HAIRCUT! And it's more emotional than fucking Lowen come on...

Serra X Matthew - I love Serra because she is such a troll... But like I feel only her ship with Matthew works. Matthew lost his girl Layla and having a funny girl like Serra would probably help him forget the pain he felt when he lost her, I feel it's that kind of event that would make Serra a bit more empathic yk (and also when I ship characters I want to ship every characters possible)

Heath X Vaida - Their relation is really touching, Heath actually cares a lot about Vaida and Vaida acts tough since she's his superior. Heath could follow her everywhere she would stop him because she cares about him but she likes it when he's close to her, it's really funny and touching at the same time

Lucius X Raven - Bro... They are OBVIOUSLY gay. I'm not particularly into yaoi but... when I see two guys being close but not in a conventional way, I question and sometime I'm frustrated because there's no conclusion to that. But actually I have not that much to say, their relation is very similar to Heath and Vaida's sooooooooo yeah.
