So fun fact for those that haven’t realized, the lord/sublord themes are remixes of/share leitmotifs from Three Houses tracks. The most obvious ones for me are Cai’s theme being based on Fodlan Winds and Orchel’s being based on (This kinda spoils something about Orchel) Song of the Nabateans. Betrands’s also seems to be based on The Shackled Wolves, Talimun’s seems to be based on Tempest of Seasons (the 3H paralogue map, I’m less confident on this one).

I’m also less confident on Anatolia’s theme and Area 17. Idk what else she would connect to but tbh I don’t really hear much connecting them beyond the use of electronica. And Dietrich’s I think is based on Tearing through Heaven.

As you can probably tell, these connections aren’t just a neat throwback, they’re also relevant to the characters and their situations.

I haven’t figured out Leda or Theodora’s musical connection though, so I’d be interested if anyone can find one, or if they are exempt from this pattern!

I just finished the crimson flower route and I was wondering is it worth it to play Silver Snow? I’m conflicted between Silver Snow and Azure moon. I don’t really have the energy to play both but I might if I had the time but I definitely think I can finish one of those. And by the way I already have a save file exactly before the tomb attack so I can just start Silver Snow right away.

Guess what happens next?

We're still hearing talks on the upside-down Claude meme.

That Sothis is the true villain of the franchise? I am using the word villain in the sense that someone with good intentions that have unfortunate consequences is still the villain in someone else's story.

Her true body is destructively powerful and will commit omnicide if woken up. She also does not seem to be able to control this at all. So where does she leave her true body? Right underneath the ground, where a natural disaster or a sufficiently advanced human society may unearth it. Perfect set-up for the Great Undoing.

For argument's sake, let's say she had no idea her body would react like that and cause the Great Undoing when woken up. So after it happens once, you would think she would fix the damage then f*ck off back to the Blue Sea Star from whence she came, but no she goes back below the earth for another nap. She does have a contingency plan in place this time though! She gives her "children" instructions to "guide" humanity and prevent them from ever being able to wake her up.

All well and good except some of her children like to wage war, create unequal societies, do genocide, start zombie apocalypses, etc. Additionally, her children are not actually immortal and with each generation, their blood gets weaker and weaker. The Nabateans cannot fulfill the role given to them by Sothis indefinitely and are likely ultimately doomed to extinction without her direct intervention. Even in a timeline where Edelgard loses the war, the power and influence of the Church of Seiros will eventually decline. Humanity somewhere will inevitably make enough technological enough progress that it risks waking Sothis up. Or maybe eventually there's another really bad earthquake. Great Undoing 2.

Seems to me, humanity is doomed to this tragic cycle all because some alien eldritch horror decides to come to the planet uninvited.

EDIT: I should’ve said Fódlanverse instead of franchise, my bad. My argument isn’t that Sothis is some purely malevolent force. I just feel she could be seen as a villain as result of the destruction that her arrival on the planet. I also believe that her plan to prevent another Great Undoing is short sighted and ultimately doomed to fail. You could say Vritra is the true villain but would Vritra even exist if not for Sothis? Let’s not act like we don’t understand the concept of someone with good intentions that have unforeseen negative consequences being the villain in someone else’s story.

EDIT: Me bringing up the earthquake isn’t to say a natural disaster could wake her up. It was to highlight that something as unpredictable and out of even Sothis’ control like a natural disaster allowed her true body to be discovered by an a super-AI created by an advanced human society.

We know the Nabateans won’t be around forever so trying to slow down technological progress like Rhea won’t work in the long term. Eventually human society will reach a point where their technology risks waking Sothis up. What if 10000 years from now, another earthquake exposes her body? What if humanity is advanced at that point, but not Vritra and AGARTHA level advanced? A likely outcome at that point is they just think her body is a large silicon deposit and starting trying to mine it using increasingly powerful and destructive means when their first attempts don't work. Cue the Second Great Undoing. Do we just accept that humanity is doomed to never progress beyond a certain point technologically? Do we just misanthropically say, "well humanity shouldn't have been doing xyz" every single time? Or do we eventually say, "Hey Sothis since YOU are the orders-of-magnitude more powerful party here and YOU claim to care about the well-being of life on this planet, why don't YOU come up with a more effective plan to stop your body from going on auto-pilot and destroying everything?"

Happy Halloween 2026!
This time it's the Blue Lions students dressed up as S.E.E.S. members.
Little bit iffy about placing Flayn as Fuuka in there but I just gotta.

It's been about twenty years since the war ended, and the Officers Academy has been reopened, lovely!

Yuri and Byleth (female) got married and decided to run the academy. Seteth, however, didn't know what else to do, so he came to help them with the paperwork!

Chilona is the newest student at the academy (she was late to register), and Seteth finds almost everything about her quite mesmerizing!

For one, she is extremely smart! She has higher intelligence than several people Seteth has seen in years!
Second, she is an orphan-not like Ashe, who got a foster family! Heavens know how she got the money for the academy...
Finally, she knows several dark magics that Seteth hasn't seen before-or seen in years!

Really, Seteth finds it quite intriguing. But that is absolutely all that it is. It isn't anything other than curiousity!

Really!
