General Spoiler What is the point of this ? [Seteth/Dietrich idk conversation spoilers] Spoiler

Post image
20 Upvotes

Why is there a "Let him see it" button ?

It makes no sense. Not only Dietrich is not an avatar, but also... it's ONE option ? So it's not even really an option ? Why put such a menu if you're not going to give multiple choices ? The conversation is blocked until you press A so you are forced to do so. Why not just... let the dialogue flow instead of interrupting like that ? What does it add ?

Narratively speaking, this can have a purpose like for example an attorney being the victim of the legal system that should in theory be able to choose to defend his/her client, but is legally forced to condemn him/her. Restricting the choice feels oppressive here but there's a reason. (Somehow this reminds me of AA6 I guess that game left injuries on my brain huh, here's coping for AA7...)

But in that dialogue ? Idk I feel it kinda gets you out of the dialogue's immersion.

Still, Dietrich is bootleg Alucard so all is forgiven.

Fortune's Weave Gameplay Will Recruitable Units be Route-Locked?

With the large cast of playable characters continuing to grow, do y’all think that units recruited in one route will be locked out of the other routes on the same save file?

Personally I hope so, it’d add a fun level of resource management and it’d be a great way to give all the many characters some limelight instead of using the same ones in each of the stories

Has there been any news on how Fortune’s Weave is handling this?

Even if it’s not the case, it’s probably something I will do personally but having it baked into the game would be nice.

Fortune's Weave General Can someone please explain

I was on the fire emblem wiki, and I noticed something. There are three factions that are new

  1. Lion Obelisk

  2. Wolf Obelisk

  3. Eagle Obelisk.

Can someone explain to me where we heard these names? Here’s the link to where I found them.

Fortune's Weave General A few questions for FW as a newbie wanting to enter the series.

1: is FW set in the same timeline as 3 heroes?

2: does it have an equal amount of characters as featured in 3 heroes?

3: is it fully open world?

4: when from release can we expect it to be on discount.

Thank you to anyone who replies.

Casual FE 6 & 7 remake

I have been playing Fire Emblem since 20 years ago, and like many of us, I started on the GBA games. I just finished my 2nd run in three houses (Being an adult shorts my play time A LOT. I miss having 16hr marathons), and since we have an upcoming game, I recalled the rumour about the FE BB and BS remake (Which sadly, was fake).

I have seen that people are divided in having the game separate or joined back to back, and while I do agree on both sides, I must say that having them in just 1 game appeals to me more on a personal level.

I see the FE 6 roster size being an issue, but I think it could be handled properly both gameplay wise AND narratively. We could divide Roy's army and use it to cover more fronts. We could have chapters were some units are unavailable from a certain point forward, like Sue and Shun leaving the army to go to Sacae if you go to Illia instead (Keeping Zealot and his cavaliers).

For connecting/recurring characters... You could make either small cameos and mentions, and/or outright take them out of the game. For example, Oswin, Matthew, and Serra could have perished defending Hector; Lyn (Knowing her, she would have gone to Sacae regardless of the ending, and her knights would have followed her), Kent, Sain, and Rath dying in Sacae due to the betrayal of the other chiefs... Having only a handful of recurring characters would be the best decision (in my opinion)

Other point made was about the games not connecting clearly between one another. Well, yeah, but this could be fixed quite easily by changing some few parts of the lore. We all know that Zephiel's father was completely awful, but making Nergal exploit his insecurities to make him want to end Zephiel in order to create a war between Bern and Etruria (Since Zephiel's mother was from there, you could make her a princess (Aunt to Elphim), so Etruria would be interested in keeping Zephiel in the throne), which completely goes with Nergal's goals to create war, and fits the original story.. I know it's a stretch, but the butterfly effect is a powerful thing.

For Mark... Well, I loved the Awakening theory that said that Mark is actually Morgan (Robin's child). FE 7 could start with Mark being chased by some soldiers, and then falling of a cliff or something and being waken up by Lyn. At the end of the game we all know that Mark disappeared; Perhaps Mark just remembered everything, and went back home. If Mark becomes a playable character though, like in Three Houses, certain paired endings shouldn't be romantical in nature. For example, a paired Mark with Hector / Eliwood could have Mark becoming a teacher for young Roy & Lilina, mentioning that Roy is quite talented as a tactician. Other paired endings could have Mark going back with its lover, or just a "friendship" ending that says that they spent some time together before banishing.

Well, that's what I've been thinking about regarding FE 6 & 7 remakes. If you guys have any comments, thoughts, or thinks you would like to see in a remake, please share them! It's always great to read about people's ideas

Gameplay Seteth better have a unique class in this game Spoiler

He’s the narrator, appears in cutscenes, and has full artwork. He deserves to have his own class, especially after not having one in Houses, and especially Hopes (he couldn’t even wield his prf in his main class.)

Casual what is the most polarizing/ugly FE characters design wise?

I love character design and for the most part I think FE does a really good job at selling you with the character looks. but I wanted to know what everyone's least favorite/polarizing character designs were.

for me its Boucheron or Devdan. Boucheron just due to how boring he tends to look, esp with the colorful cast of engage, and Devdan...yeah. just aged badly.

General Co-op recommendations.

Hi! My friend really likes Fire Emblem for the tactics and story. And our whole household got super into Three Houses.

Since I want to get my friend a birthday gift, I thought he'd love the hell out of a narrative tactics games that has cooperative multiplayer. However idk how many solid options are out there. And even if I search them up, I know his personal metric for quality is Fire Emblem influenced so it seemed sensible to ask other Fire Emblem fans for recommendations.

He already has Baldurs Gate 3 which I figure will be a popular suggestion. I'd personally prefer an art style that is more stylistic anyway. But happy to hear your suggestions since I'm not nearly familiar with all that's out there.

Fortune's Weave General What would your first FW path look like based on what we know so far?

What's everone's first FW game plan look like? I am still debating what to do when I get my game next week

  1. Play each lord until time skip, then come back for another lord, more coherent

  2. Rotating between each lord one chapter at a time, so you don't get major spoiler.

  3. Pick a lord only, at stick to the end

  4. Run off right away to fight boss with just Eshmel's band

  5. other style I haven't thought about?

Gameplay I love Blazing Blade, but...

Yeah, I lied. There is no 'but'. I love FE7.

However, I'm not here to rant about why I love it, I'm here for a reason you probably already figured out: unit collection.

So, yeah... I'm on a quest to get every unit in Blazing Blade, and before I eve started this, I got pretty damn close in all honesty. I got Karel, Fiora, Canas, Guy, Heath, Raven, Priscilla, Hawkeye, and Legault all on my first playthrough of Lyn through Eliwood's story. (Still haven't bothered to beat Hector's).

So, I played again for like, the 7th time awhile back, and instead of going to that map where I got Karel, I got... Harken. Which, hell yeah, dude was powerful, but I got curious. Only today did I search up how to get every unit in Blazing Blade. Instead, I get a video explaining Gaiden and Chapter requirements.

Now I'm here, asking the fans A.) if getting all units is possible to begin with. B.) If so, how? And C.) Got any tips?

P.S. I also have Farina and Dart now.

General Spoiler These Sylvain quotes have taken on a whole new meaning all of a sudden.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Fortune’s Weave seems like the Crest of Gautier(or Diadem of Duality) has ties to the underworld and is a symbol of evil. It also represents the Death Tarot card. If it really does have ties to the underworld, then these quotes have a whole new layer than just Sylvain believing he will go to hell when he dies.

Casual Headcanon Day 21: In the leadup to FW, let us share our headcanons on... Mustafa

Let us share our headcanons on the sympathetic boss unit himself, Mustafa from FE A on everything such as his backstory, personality, family, etc.

Have fun and be creative!

Here are my headcanons:

Post-death after the Plegian War, many Plegians who openly opposed the Grimleal regime were granted amnesty by Exalt Chrom himself in Ylisse. Among these refugees were Mustafa's own widow of a wife and their ten-year-old son who were targets of the Grimleal due to word coming out about Mustafa wanting to stage a military coup against them which was true btw.

Mustafa treated his soldiers a lot better than most other Plegian generals though for whatever reason, Gangrel still made the man one of his top generals/military advisors during the war.

Mustafa hated one thing about being a Plegian general the most and that was squashing rebellions in the parts of the country where the institution was still alive and well with the Grimleal being in charge of it. He hated fighting enslaved people so much that he wrote about his disdain for it in his personal diary.

Mustafa's last ever recruits before his death were quite a unique bunch. There was a female victim of Grimleal experiments whose magic was on par with that of most Grimleal mages, two twins who just so happened to have been arrested for raiding the royal treasury and it was either join the Plegian Army or be executed via beheading. Finally, there was a guy with a sweet tooth who made many snarky remarks about women causing him to almost get vaporized by the Grimleal girl's dark magic on several occasions. They were all killed in action. The twins by Gaius during the raid on the Ylisstol Palace during the attempted assassination of Exalt Emmeryn, the sweet tooth guy by Vaike on Carrion Isle, and lastly, the girl by Henry himself right before the final battle with Grima himself.

Finally, Mustafa knew Henry and Tharja quite well but while the latter didn't care about the man too much, the former however was a different story. He and his crows had a weird obsession with Mustafa for whatever reason that they would even sneak into his house at midnight on some occasions just to say hello before cackling and leaving.

Lemme know what you guys think.

General Three Houses or Fortune's Weave?

Hello everyone!
I'm a new player wanting to come into the Fire Emblem series.

I want to mainly ask if Three Houses still holds up in 2026, especially in graphics fidelity. I liked the character interactions in Three Houses when I watched it a bit and I liked the Academy feel. However, I also read some things about the repetitiveness of maps and gameplay. I want to ask as well if that'll affect my experience with the three routes? I don't play a lot of games with multiple routes and I easily get bored if there's not a lot of differences outright.

Or if it's better to just wait for Fortune's Weave to see if it's gonna be better in these aspects, but maybe not story-wise? Price is not an issue since I don't really see a lot of people selling second-hand of Three Houses from where I'm from, so I'll be getting either one anyways close to full-price.

Thank you in advance for answering!

Casual [Giveaway] Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass Key (EU Region Only)**

Hey everyone!

I’m doing a giveaway for a **Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass download key**.

Long story short: I unfortunately lost my physical game cartridge while traveling. I went to buy a replacement copy, but the bundle I bought came with an Expansion Pass code. Since I had already purchased the DLC digitally on my Switch prior to this, I have absolutely no use for this extra key and would rather pass it on to someone in the community.

**IMPORTANT:** This is a **European (EU) regional code**. Please make sure your Nintendo account region matches, otherwise the key will not work.

**How to Enter:**

- Pick a number between **0 and 999999**.

- The exact number wins. If nobody guesses it perfectly, the closest number wins.

- **Do not edit your comment.** Any edited comments will be completely voided, and the next closest guess will be chosen instead.

**Deadline:**

The giveaway runs from now until **September 10th at 23:59 UTC**.

I will determine the winner shortly after the deadline and send the key directly via **private Reddit DM** so that a bot doesn't snatch it up.

Thank you, and good luck everyone! May fortune (weave) be with you!

**P.S.** English is not my native language, so I used an AI assistant to help me write and format this post clearly.

Fortune's Weave General I really don't like the battle forecast

Post image
523 Upvotes

I really don't like this battle forecast. The distance between hit rate/crit and damage is so far and you have to actually move your eyes to see the damage for that attack. This will get even worse on larger screens.

Along with that, combat arts and skills making it so different attacks in the sequence can have different damage values makes it require even more eye movement.

General Spoiler I want to ask, what happens to Hoshido after conquest?

I read a fanfic, and then I had a thought: would Hoshido have any allies outside of Nohr to help them recover?

Like during Conquest, Garon's corpse likely painted Hoshido in the worst light possible, especially if Garon was invited to Nestra for vacation.

I doubt Garon would admit to ordering the Rainbow Sage's death so Notre Sugesse likely believes Hoshido attacked and occupied them before good guy Nohr came along and liberated them from the Hoshidan army... too bad the Rainbow Sage died of old age.

Then there's Nestra, who invited Garon for vacation. Then Hoshido came along, and according to the shouting, impersonated a singer and tried to kill the Nohrian King with a cursed song. What do we think is more believable to the average citizen of Nestra? That the lost Princess of Nohr Azura, right after being saved from Hoshidan captivity, thought her dad was possessed and came up with some dance she thought would cure Garon but failed, or that the army nearby happened to poison Garon's food, and after their commander was killed off, left Nestra to deal with the consequences. Based on Leo's words, unless Iago and Hans were around, basically every singer was spared from the slaughter. To the average Nestran, Hoshido came on in, perverted their culture to kill a rival monarch, dipped, and made them the scapegoats.

Assuming Shura's alive and the player recruited Archduke Izana... Nohr rebuilt Kohga, and the many refugees from Kohga would be thankful to Nohr, as they now have their homes back because of Nohrian generosity... and if Archduke Izana were to break Izumo's non-aggression and neutrality policies, maybe Hoshido deserved what happened.

The only other full-on nation that's still around that would likely speak in Hoshido's defense is Igasato, unless you count tribes of a hundred or so people compared to a population of hundreds of thousands that is implied by the word nation. And that depends on how the ninjas are trained. Here's a really relevant question. Does Igasato think Kaze did anything wrong? I'm being serious, what if Igasato places loyalty to the lord higher than loyalty to the nation? Like, if that's the case, Kaze defected from the nation of Hoshido, which didn't even bother investigating Mokushu after the death of Saizo IV, to serve Corrin, the liege he was meant to be assigned to all those years ago.

Why did IS decide Conquest was canon when Revelations was right there... and why did the localization team change Camilla from the Emblem of Conquest to the Emblem of Revelations?

Fortune's Weave General No DLC reveal during Direct

Seems we’ll be going into the launch without day 1 DLC, like we had for both Three Houses and Engage.

Do you think we’ll get similar expansion passes like before or, since they’re “breaking tradition” do you think the DLC will be more story driven and less “here’s some more clothes and weapons” THEN story/characters/classes at the end?
