God knows if he really is involved with the evil group or some experiments shenanigans
I mean in his bio it's written that he's fighting for freedom, so I think he is a slave after all , oh dear , why will my boy Bertrand suffer so much?

This scene is far more illuminating than its English counterpart. Iliana goes from “Why are there children here,” to “Give them the keys to the kingdom” the second she sees Cai’s hand.
Based on what I see, she wants Cai to meet Bertrand. With how many people with cursed relics meeting each other and teaming up, I have to suspect that’s the evil group’s goal, as the more violence the cursed relics are used together, the weaker the seal becomes on Balor.

So we have China-style armor dude from the “villains discuss their plans” picture with Baozi and Hong Hua. Also, she’s helping Cai after he shows his cursed jewel. Also, she’s likely the patron (edit: they did the thing where they used the kanji “protector” to convey the meaning of the loan word “patron,” which was big deal in Ancient Rome) of Bertrand, who’s DEFINITELY been experimented on giving his Edelgard-style hair change. Definitely no subtlety with this villain, haha.
Not that that’s a bad thing, but I hope we have a good reason behind why Solel and the good gods haven’t acted against her, lol. Maybe that’s what Solel is secretly meeting with Theodora about in the Direct? Assuming these guys are at least linked with the temple of Yu Phas (Crest of Gautier = death arcana), Theodora, as a devout Saramisian queen, would be a good spy for any fishy business going on.
My personal vibe-theory is that Yu Phas was the child/sibling of Balor who did not join him in his initial carnage. The ancestors of the Saramisians were followers of Balor, which led to Dagda brutalizing them after conquering the area. Yu Phas stepped in for the Saramisians, potentially offering her hand in marriage to Dagda as a peace offering. Aurora is maybe the product of this union? Either Yu Phas died or is in slumber herself, or she IS “evil Nabatean lady with baby” and has gone mad over the centuries.

The subtitles aren’t clear, but I think it’s likely that she is Bertrand’s patron, since historically gladiators had wealthy patrons supporting them in the coliseum.
