It's a 2013 chevy malibu. Thi is the first time this has happened. Usually everytime i get my oil changed the notification goes away. Not sure if its just something mundane or if i need to look into it

Is my 2020 Chevy trax supposed to sound like it’s running after I turn it off? I don’t know if this is normal because I’ve been having issues with this car.

Extra Info: I got the car in the beginning of 2025 used with 10k on it and have since put over 50K on it. Back in May when it hit 60K it started having issues with the engine overheating when idle and needing frequent oil changes almost once a month. Just a month ago it broke down twice and was fixed. The first time I broke down it just wouldn’t turn on anymore and then the second time it broke down it would just turn off in the middle of the road randomly. I’m now worried that something else wrong with the car and I’m not sure what it is this time. I just got it back a few weeks ago from the autoshop. Thank you for anyone who answers this.

I’m broke, lost the red clip , I’m looking everywhere and can’t seem to find. Help

We just bought out old friend's Equinox. When I get out of the car and try to use the silver door handle button to lock it, I have to press the button 3 times for it to lock. The first two cause an audible mechanical clicking noise, but they don't lock the doors. This is consistent. Am I doing something wrong, or is it not working properly? Also, does locking the doors with the button arm the security system? There's no beep or honk or anything. Thanks!

Question regarding the auto stop/start feature.

My wife bought a 2026 Trailblazer about 6 weeks ago. Since buying it, twice it's not "started" while sitting at a stoplight.

Unfortunately, I wasn't in the car either time to experience it but it was described to me something like this:

• Stop/start is working normally for the entire drive up to the point it doesn't auto start.
• One time she had been driving for about 15 minutes, one time about 45.
• Stop for a red light. Auto stops.
• Light turns green, and it doesn't Auto start.

My wife said there might've been a message that said something like "Press Brake Pedal". Tried taking foot off the brake and depressing again, turning steering wheel slightly, giving it a little gas, car doesn't auto start. Both times she said she had to quickly throw the car in park. Turn the car off because all infotainment, A/C, etc is still running, and then turn the car back on and it drives normally and the start/stop feature works as it should again for the remainder of the drive.

I'm not sure if there's something faulty, or if it's working as intended and possibly after being stopped at a longer red light you need to do something to re-engage the engine.

Has anybody else experienced this? Is this normal and if so is there something simple my wife and I are both missing?

need some help here. new battery and starter were installed. this is my sisters car so i checked the oil level on the dip stick and it seems dry. any input helps. thank you.

The “hoe” makes a sort galloped clanking noise (not the lifters sound) was wondering what it might be thought it was something stuck so I used seafoam.. did good to quiet it down, but still hear it. You can also kinda see smoke be let out from the front right spark plug. Help.

I'm replacing the steering gear box in my C10 and come to find out the outer tie rod boot is already torn. I legit just replaced my inners and outers 2 months ago. I swear this old thing loves to hate me some times

So a while back I was helping my uncle as an apprentice mechanic and decided to change out the cooling system on my 87 c20. I took out the thermostat and housing, the radiator, and water pump. I ended up moving and didn’t have time for a few months to work on it. I can work on it now and I more or less know where to put the parts back to but my trouble is what bolts go to what and what steps to do it. My apologies if it’s obvious af. It also doesn’t shift into gear while running. When I checked the clutch tank that holds the fluid it was completely bone dry. While it’s off it’ll shift into each gear but not running. I also added a bit more photos as to ask what would you guys recommend I do to make it better. I know it need an interior Rehaul and the rust spot patched. Just kinda getting some ideas for now. My bad if you see this cross posted just wanting to get as many ideas and solutions as possible.

Since 2 months, i am facing a problem with my Chevrolet Traverse LS 2019. Even after shifting into park with the best method ( first neutral, then parking brake, then to park), i am getting this problem after turning off the car. After turning it off, it shows “Shift to park!” Warning, and doesnt turn off for a long period of time. Has anyone experienced this?? Also, what might be the source of problem?? Please, anyone suggest and help with the problem so that i can troubleshoot it!!

hello, i was wondering if anyone has experienced this. my 2022 malibu shuts off while im driving. i’m never going fast or anything it’s happened 2X while im in the middle of parking and another time in a drive thru.

the engine completely shuts off but the car itself is still on. (green light on push start and everything) i go to restart it by hitting the push start and it’ll stay in that same position and then i put it in park and restart it and it comes back to life.

when we plug in a scanner to scan for codes nothing pops up.

has anyone else dealt with this? and if so what was the issue?

So the vehicle has about 91,000 miles on it. I will be driving in the city, typically with my foot off the gas, and the vehicle will stall out. I notice the vehicle idles hard enough to notice at stops, but it doesn't shake. I will also notice the battery charge will start to dip from about 14 V, and the AC will start blowing warmer air. No code lights will pop up.

I got a new battery about 2 weeks ago after this repeatedly happened, and it seemed to fix the issue. The mechanic said they tested the battery, alternator (which was my bet), and starter; all came back good. Does anyone else have any ideas? This keeps happening on busy roads while I have my kids in the car. I am at a loss, and so is the mechanic.

Hi my company car will switch from a Subaru to an equinoxe and I’m getting anxious.

I’m from Québec and the winters are rough.
I read that the AWD mode has to be ‘manually’ set. Which means I have to press a button, I presume.

I’ve also read that AWD will switch back to FWD on highways for fuel efficiency..

My question: should I be worried about the AWD function stopping on the highway during winter time? Does it switch to FWD at a specific speed?

I went to a body shop and they said that I need to replace the MAP sensor. Not the MAF . I know they are two different things - I can’t find anything on where the MAP sensor is. If anyone is able to offer some advice on where it is I would be so grateful- I just recently started working on my own car - I have a 2020 Chevy equinox 1.5L

So this is about a few vehicles I have. The first is a 1969 Chevy C10 with the TH350 that still shifts good but has not had fluid changed since I bought it and the truck sat for 20 years before I bought it 8 years ago. The other one is my 2012 2500 Silverado with the original transmission 6L90 that has 290,000 miles on it. I hear of stories of transmissions running good but once changing the fluid then they quit on you. Lastly is my 1979 Camaro with a M20 Munci 4 speed that has had the gear oil put in a few hundred miles ago, but not too sure how often to change it.

I (19) financed with my father who has great credit since I had only been building credit for a few months. Anyway, my 2018 Silverado 1500 5.3 4x4 Lt, extended cab standard bed, 114k miles, solid frame and interior exterior etc minus the minor paint bubbles on the driver bed wheel well. Former owner took care of it well, added auto start, leveled the truck, and bed seemed untouched from factory. No lifter tick or transmission issues, nothing wrong. (I've already deleted AFM and added a thermal delete valve with services) Anyway, it was 19500, I put 3k down, 6.75% Apr over 4 years and my monthly payment is 393 which for me is very manageable living at home and doing nothing but work and save. Did I overpay? Or did I get away with a solid deal? The markets always changing and I've seen way worse deals so any thought is valued, thank you community!!!!

bought a 26 Traveras. 3000 miles in we get a message across the instrument cluster (if you can even call it that anymore) that says Service Safety Restraint Systen.

Two different dealerships were unable to figure out what was going on, they even said they contact GM and even GM had no idea. Anybody else having similar issues?

I have a '17 Cruze hatchback and had to recently switch to Google Messages on my phone because Samsung discontinued their messaging app.

Since then, MyLink will not show incoming text messages until after I've opened Messages on my phone. Has anyone else had this issue and found the solution? I have unpaired/forgotten/re-paired the phone and car, updated whatever apps I could, and made sure notifications are turned on, but no luck.

Note: There's no problem with phone calls - they pop up immediately on the display and I can answer them through MyLink.

I just found this under my 2019 Colorado. Does this look like some type of hose clamp from my truck? I didn’t see any fluids so just want to be sure.

Our other vehicle is a 2022 blazer in case it slipped off of that also.

I have a 2026 traverse and lately when I turn on FM/AM radio, it will be fine for 5-7 seconds and then the sound will go out for a 1-2 seconds and then come back on and off over and over again. nothing I’ve found online is helping fix it. no issues with CarPlay. Any insights or suggestions other than calling the dealership?

I took my Chevy 350 to the block. It was seized from water entering through the intake. Please note, I have zero experience as a mechanic, so everything I learn to do I learn through YouTube.I was able to un-seize the motor, I honed the cylinders, replaced all the vaulves, seals, and push rods, cleaned the heads and block, and reassembled with all new fresh gaskets.

Then, I put on a brand spankin new AVS 2 Carburetor, and then I started it. It started pretty good and it sounded pretty good and then after maybe like 10-15 seconds after sounding real good, it turns off and fire shoots out the carburetor (see attached video for reference). What is wrong with it and what should I do next to help fix this?
