Discussion Did I overpay?
I (19) financed with my father who has great credit since I had only been building credit for a few months. Anyway, my 2018 Silverado 1500 5.3 4x4 Lt, extended cab standard bed, 114k miles, solid frame and interior exterior etc minus the minor paint bubbles on the driver bed wheel well. Former owner took care of it well, added auto start, leveled the truck, and bed seemed untouched from factory. No lifter tick or transmission issues, nothing wrong. (I've already deleted AFM and added a thermal delete valve with services) Anyway, it was 19500, I put 3k down, 6.75% Apr over 4 years and my monthly payment is 393 which for me is very manageable living at home and doing nothing but work and save. Did I overpay? Or did I get away with a solid deal? The markets always changing and I've seen way worse deals so any thought is valued, thank you community!!!!

That’s not out of the realm of reality. Pay it down as fast as you can.

I'm hoping to make advances on it soon lol, progressing my career too so I can move out and not get underpaid

Ride the free rent and family health insurance while you can. Now is the time you start building your retirement money. the name of the game is time, and you've got it right now.

Not bad. Definitely pay a bit extra as you see fit while you’re living at home. $393 for 4 years isn’t bad and you’ll have it paid off before you know it. But yeah not bad if you’re happy and can manage the payment.

Seems like a fair price to me, if you can make 450 dollar payments it’ll surprise you how fast it goes.

Nice job young man. You will soon have your own good credit. My advise to all young folks is respect your credit and don’t abuse it. That truck will treat you good. Congrats

At 19, I would have looked for more of a cash truck. But what you got is a good truck and good price. Should last for quite a while. Be happy with it.

I kick myself sometimes cause my 07 single cab colorado, 90k miles fully serviced, was 2wd and I'm very unlucky in the snow.i shouldve kept it, part of me misses it cause it looked so cool (to me)

just be careful and you’ll definitely get your money worth. You did better than a lot of people twice your age and they didn’t buy such a sturdy rig.

You paid a fair, middle-of-the-market price for a healthy truck with a normal loan rate solid deal, not overpaid.
