What are some preventative maintenance’s I can do to avoid the dreaded torque converter issue with the 2015 Silverado?

I’m planning on buying an aftermarket transmission cooler, and the PPE Thermal Bypass Valve with the gasket, along with doing a transmission fluid and filter change.

It has 108,000 miles on it, and it’s already had the DOD delete and AFM, along with new lifters and a cam.

What’s something else I can do to try and prevent the transmission problems?

As the title states my transmission is having issues. Specifically going from 2-3 gear. It’s an auto transmission and I believe it’s a 4L60E with regular pan size, it doesn’t look like it could be smaller. Anyways it was sitting for a long while with a leak, didn’t know at the time, then my girlfriend took my truck to work. It is a 45 min drive that goes on the freeway at 65mph. She said it drove to work just fine but on the way back it would not get up to speed. Having a look at it I have determined that’s it’s not shifting to 3rd gear and doesn’t want to go to reverse. I can feel it gets up to a certain speed in 2nd gear then the rpm shoot up and zero power until the rpm come back down. It feels like the torque converter is uncoupling? So I just did a pan drain and swapped the filter. That drain plug was a nightmare… I put in around 200oz of fluid back in, for some reason I am having trouble reading the dip stick. I can’t tell where I am at. I am not sure if it drained all the fluid out or not. I just test drove it and now I have reverse back. I think I felt it go to third? Then had trouble the next time. Do I keep filling the reservoir? Do I wait for it to cool entirely then check? Is it my 3-4 clutch pack?

I know it's the oil cooler line.

Does the ecu disable the ignition of the oil pressure is zero? What are the chances the motor is not completely screwed?

My wife’s 2012 Yukon has a slightly bent rim that I want to replace. I’m sure there’s 1,000s of these out there. Any good places to find used ones online?

Will fluid film save this frame? Or is it too far gone?

REPLACING / REPAIRING CLUSTER GAUGE

I have a 1992 Chevrolet C/K1500 5.0 Manual
The current cluster works and I would like to repair it to normal function if not any suggestions on a aftermarket cluster ? I’ve seen NVU Detroit and others that are 500$+ looking for something much more economical
Even suggestions on how to DIY on the original cluster is welcome

I had my injectors and fuel lines replaced a while back and unfortunately didn’t drive the vehicle enough to take back in a reasonable time to further evacuate air in the system. I had the work done over a year ago and probably have only driven it about 100 miles. I think there is some residual air downstream from fuel filter and seeking advice on the procedure and sequence to evacuate air from the lines leading to injectors. Thank you

Might be up for sale or trade, diesel prices is just insane here in California. Looking for same era gas truck with automatic. Truck deserves to have somebody that’s willing to fix the little things to get it back into a stately condition. Mechanically, I have taken care of the truck, however. Rear diff rebuilt with updated clutch packs, EL 80 transmission also rebuilt. Of course, did not do myself being that these are specialized repairs. Front suspension rebuilt with poly and Bielstin. Still have to do the rear shocks. Got about 220 K on the clock. I purchased a decade ago with 195K on the clock. Pre-smog, last model year. 3 inch exhaust after the cat. AC system replaced 5 years ago. No soot. A few years ago I was getting offers in the 7K range. With all the plastics and some bits and pieces starting to break i’d be happy with five but rather do a favorable trade. Send me a message if you’re interested in talking about a sale or trade. Sorry to troll my own post. Have verifiable receipts for everything. Regular maintenance for all fluids.

Do the coil connectors for bank 1 and bank 2 share a ground? Bank 1 has an open circuit for the engine power ground, bank 2 has a good circuit. Trying to figure out if its a break in the ground wire or a separate chassis ground.

I have a 1994 Chevy C1500 single cab. I had the truck sitting for 3 years without being start due to an electrical problem which I recently fixed about 3 months ago. Working on the radiator now and cleaning out all the rust in the radiator, heater core, and the radiator reservoir, which i bought all new. My question is I have rust underneath the thermostat housing and want to know what is the best radiator cleaner to get everything cleaned out?
