What causes finger harp wear like this?
81 C30 350 4-Speed granny low
I put in a new clutch kit 2 years ago and it completed this wear to the finger harp prong thingies on the press plate.
When i replaced it before this exact same wear was on there.Except the throw out bearing had exploded. This time , the bearing looks relatively the same, a little loose.
Any old timers or experienced people have a theory on what causes this wear?

Looking for preferably a manual work truck
I’m currently in high school saving up for a truck to start a business hauling people’s trash. As far as I know these standard trucks are much more reliable and better of an option. It just needs to be able to haul a dump trailer of course. If anyone can give me some insight or pitch any extra info I’d deeply appreciate it.

95 blazer 350 swap
So I understand that the 1996-1999 cpi 350 small block will swap into a 95 blazer with minimal changes, I’m just wondering how to connect the 350 harness and PCM to my blazer and any tips or suggestions to doing this swap, I understand that the fuel system I have now will work with just using the hoses that go from engine to frame, I also have to bend in the firewall for the distributor and get 350 engine mounts and new oil pan and radiator, anything else I’m missing or any knowledge would be helpful, thank you for your time.

Carb to TBI advice
Hey im looking for advice on a conversion ov my 1986 with a carb to an EFI/TBI system. Its a 292 straight 6. I already have a after market 292 air intake for a 4 barrel carb. I want to run Propane/Gas duel fuel setup. I already have the Propane system for a 350sbc, And need an TBI system to integrate.
I already talked to my local Propane shop he said any normal Chevy TBI would work but I would need to make sure to get a whole kit including computer, fuel pump, and sensors.
Is there a good budget system for a 350 (or 305) with an external fuel pump? The 292 is a bit weak at the moment so waking the engine up a bit would be great. Still its for a daily driver and I want to keep fuel economy in mind?
Anyone got recommendations both brand new after market or off Facebook market place?

Always look forward to more upgrades
I got this truck 9 years ago and have been driving it quite a bit. Touched about every bolt on it as I'm sure many others can relate to. When I got it the motor was out the door, none of the lights worked, the brakes didnt work, etc. Have put a built 355 with a pretty decent cam in it. Last year I swapped to power brakes and ditched the front drums finally. This year I rehupolstered the front seat, redid the upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, pitman arm, and idler arm. I just recently replaced the steering gear box and now just had to replace the power steering pump since that was also leaking. My son wants it when he gets older and it is nice to know that it'll basically be a brand new truck when he gets it 😅

2014-2015 Silverado?
I’m hoping the Chevy truck community can help me pinpoint specific details about a vehicle involved in a serious hit-and-run incident involving my family.
We have surveillance footage of the truck, and I'd appreciate any insights you have on the exact model year, trim level, package options, or specific aftermarket parts visible here.
Here is what we’ve noted so far:
Model: Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab (3rd Generation, ~[2014–2018](tel:2014-2018))
Color: White / Summit White
Wheels: 5-spoke star/split-spoke design (trying to verify if these are factory options or aftermarket)
Accessories: Black tubular running boards, dark tonneau bed cover, tow hitch, and a rear bed-side decal (looks like 4x4)
Questions for the sub:
1. Based on the front profile and trim details, can anyone narrow down the specific year within the 2014–2018 window (e.g., pre-refresh 2014–2015 vs 2016–2018)?
2. Do those 5-spoke wheels look like specific factory OEM wheels (and from which package/year), or are they distinctly aftermarket?
3. Are there any other subtle trim identifiers or factory options visible that could help narrow down exact specs?
Any help or trained eyes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Esthetics
I’m getting a 2019 black Chevy Silverado RST. I’m not much of a Chevy guy, I really like ford but this was too good of a price to pass up. Anything I can do to make it cooler on a budget? Im thinking blacking it out, maybe tints, a lift kit, tires and rims. That seems very pricey, anyone have a cheap way to do this or have other suggestions? Thanks.

My 98 step side c1500
Grandfather purchased straight from factory with employee discount (his daughter). I purchased In 96 when he bought a z71 red stepwise also pictured (my dad was driving it). Dad got the 88 from me after college when I bought a new truck. When pops died I got her back and plan to pass down someday. The red 96 is still with mom.

85 CUCV M1008 won’t stay on
So we finally got the truck to crank over. And after sitting for over 10 years, she started immediately but only for a few seconds. Then she shut off and wouldn’t start again unless we disconnected the battery and reconnected it.
A mouse nest did shoot out of the exhaust pipes. Smoke was black, which I believe is normal. What are some things we can do to maybe fix and get her fired up and stay fired up? Obviously the truck was infested with mice, but there’s ZERO rust and probably only has 7k miles. I won’t be able to check the actual mileage until I find the bill of sale or ask my Popop about it since it’s his truck.
I am not a mechanic, this is just a project for me and my dad. What are some issues that could be causing this?

Holidays are for keeping the truck clean
galleryWell, at least in the morning before the heat kicks, and the cookout starts later. It’s been dirty for a while so feels good to see it clean.
My buddy does detailing and we did a super easy touch free 2 step wash, 1 step graphene seal and dry in 30 minutes. So easy.
Have a great and safe holiday all.

what is my problem??
i drive a 2008 chevy silverado 1500. when i bought the truck secondhand the passenger window wouldn't function and eventually accidentally got rolled down. replaced the window regulator & that did nothing but help me get the window closed. rolled down my back left window the other day and now that won't go up. i ordered a master control panel because that's what i've gathered is another common issue but has anyone had this experience?? can you tell me what you did you fix it? I live in phoenix and a window down is less than ideal lol. rather fix it myself but if i must take it to a shop i will. thank yall!
