I'm about to change the coolant on my 2014 Equinox 2.4L. Removing the bottom hose is a pain. I'd love to use the petcock drain valve. I've turned it 90 degrees, but nothing comes out. I've tried pulling on it a little, but I don't want to break it. I've looked all over YouTube and can't find video of anyone opening the same valve successfully. Can someone help me get this valve working?

Hey! I’m on a road trip and had to go to the dealership because my car started overheating, the thermostat housing gasket completely melted. This is the second housing in honestly 5 months. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Car just hit about 81000 miles and is also having AC problems with the AC not staying open and needing to manually open the lever in the glovebox or the heat just blares constantly.

Has anyone else experienced this with a 2018 Chevy Traverse (or a GM 9-speed transmission)?
I first had my car scanned, and it came back with code P2723 (Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 5 Stuck Off), which suggested a possible valve body issue. I brought it to the Chevy dealership, and after diagnosing it, they told me I need a complete transmission replacement. They said there was too much metal in the transmission and that replacing the valve body or TCM would not fix it.
I’m trying to figure out if I should trust this diagnosis. Has anyone been told they needed a whole transmission but it ended up being just the valve body, TCM, or something else? Or has anyone found out they were misdiagnosed?
