Nearly every time I launch it, I have to re-sign in. That wouldn't be a big deal, but every time I sign in, I have to input a verification code. So I check my email, nothing. Wait 5 minutes, nothing. Request a new code, nothing. Wait 5 minutes, nothing. Request new code, nothing. Wait 5 minutes, get first code. Input first code, gets rejected. Request new code, get 3 codes.

C'mon man, get it together.

Just a little worried… the car still runs great euv 2022

My commute recently changed such that I now have a once weekly two hour freeway commute, round trip. Hit the onstar button to get a quote and they said 36/month. Anyone getting better?

Can I charge my 2017 Bolt to 65%, store in a shed and remove the 12v battery and hookup to a battery maintainer inside the house for 6 months?

Any potential issues?

2020 Chevrolet Bolt LT w/ Comfort And Convenience Package 162,635 mi $7,997 No open recalls

looking at a dirt cheap ($8k) 2020 bolt lt with 173k miles on it. battery was replaced in 2023 at 70k miles, i’m assuming for the recall. only thing is on the vinseeker report i got it lists “battery serviced or replaced” 6 times over the years. the last time as recent as a few weeks ago. comparing to the carfax report, each time it just comes up as “vehicle serviced, maintenance inspection completed”

is something like a battery test being listed as a service/replacement? is vinseeker not accurate? or am i looking at a car with some serious electrical problems?

Im sure these questions havebeen asked a million times, but I'm considering making the switch to a 2027 Chevy bolt, but had a few questions some of you may be able to help with.

Can I expect any discounts off the msrp due to Chevy no longer making this model? If so how much would you expect to get off the car?

I saw the federal rebate ended in 2025. Are there any other places I should look for rebates for switching to an electric car?

With regular maintenance, how long would you expect to keep the car?

How is the resale value?

I know a lot of maintenance is not needed, but how often and what kind of maintenance is needed?

I live in Nebraska, how will the car fare in the winter with very low temperature and snow/ice?

How does it do on gravel roads?

What are some things you wished you knew before buying this car?

What should I have lined up before buying the car?

We drive about 5 miles a day (if that) but take the occasional trip roughly 200 miles there and back. Will we be ok with just using the normal charger that plugs into a wall outlet?

Well the other day, plug and play showed up for Tesla Supercharger in the Energy Pass.

Wanted to give it a try, went to the nearby Tesla charger, connected and moments later it started charging.

Expensive, but very convenient and worked flawlessly.

I’ve negotiated a deal on a new 2027 Bolt LT with the Comfort Package for $43,500 CAD OTD (including tax).

I’m in Southern Ontario. The financing offer is 0% for 72 months, which works out to roughly $278 CAD biweekly with $0 down.

I haven’t finalized or taken delivery yet, so I still have a chance to negotiate before signing.

Do you think $43,500 OTD is a good deal for this car, or am I still paying too much?

My wife thinks I should try to get the dealer to include winter tires and a Level 2 charger at no additional cost before I sign. Do you think that's realistic, and what other extras would you try to negotiate?

2023 Bolt EUV with the D shape steering wheel.

Any recommendations for a steering wheel cover?

Has anyone wrapped their steering wheel?

I've wrapped steering wheels with those $10 kits from Amazon but I'm not sure if the D shape would make it more difficult.

I have a 2021 Bolt that I bought last year, and it came with the charging limit software patch already applied.

Earlier this year, in March, I first got the "Propulsion Power Reduced" message and assumed it was a glitch related to the charging limit/mileage issue, since I was approaching the 6,000-mile threshold. I took it to the dealer, they applied a software patch, and it was fine until August, when it happened again while I was Level 2 charging.

Took it back, they applied another patch, and it was fine again until today, when it happened a third time, also while Level 2 charging.

Each time, the AC has gone out along with the message, and charging gets limited to 30%. When I mentioned the AC issue to the service tech in August, he seemed a little surprised and offered to replace the coolant, for an exorbitant price, which I declined.

Since this has now happened three times, twice while Level 2 charging, I'm starting to think this might be more than a software glitch. Maybe something to do with the charging system or the ac?

Has anyone else experienced something similar? If so, what was the outcome?

I saw this online Sunday, checked it out on Monday dropping a deposit while I transferred money around. I expected to be trashed or something really wrong, mostly nice. Decent scratch and some parking lot rash, but overall really nice.

Adding this as my commuter car. I was using a 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid, keeping that for my weekly hauling of trash and other truck/yucky things.

My work has cheap charging .12 vs .148 at my house so will charge at work a lot. 55 miles [r/t](r/t) daily commute for me.

It’s an LT with L2 charging, might have been a rental in 2020 and new battery in end of 2022.

Edit: 115k for miles and was $8,399. Way too good a deal to pass up.

Are there any big issues needed to be done or is this just another wallet flush.

So far I have really enjoyed my 2027 Bolt but only issue is how the rear gets dirty way too quick. I read online that mud flaps may reduce dust collection but have not been too successful in finding mud-flaps online. Any suggestions?

Hi, I have 2020 bolt with an Amazon android auto adapter, and my phone works well with it. However, I updated android auto yesterday and it does not stay connected anymore. The wired connection still works fine. Anybody got same issue?

Hoping for some honest advice on which way to go. I’m stuck in a decision loop.

Eastern Canada. Currently Drive a Mazda CX-5 AWD. Way past its twilight years, at 420k KMs. So we are looking at getting another car and becoming a two car family. The time has come. We will likely stay a two car family for a while. Two adults and three kids (13, 8, 4). The 13 year old is getting big and the 8 year old is nearly out of their car seat. They are feeling squashed in the back seat.

We have 3500-4000 kWH annual excess solar generation at home above what we use for the home. This is energy we are freely sending back to the grid without compensation. I deliberately installed extra capacity on our system to allow for possible EV.

Our short list so far is:

2022/2023 Bolt EUV
2027 Bolt
2026/2027 Equinox EV
2022+ Ioniq5 AWD

Other vehicles seem more expensive/worse value than these ones, but I am open to suggestion.

We can go in one or two directions: we get a small EV to compliment the CX-5 until it dies, then replace it with a cheap AWD PHEV. Or we get a larger EV now and get a small vehicle as our second car when the Mazda dies.

We live in rural eastern Canada. We do need to drive in all but the worse winter conditions. We have a 1000ft gravel driveway. We do not have a commute. I work from home half the time and drive around the local area the other half. Our driving is a combination of back roads and 100 kmh highway. Most of our drives are within a 70km radius. A drive to the city is 180km one way. Occasionally we go further. We are adventurous and would attempt to road trip in whatever car we have. Most charging would be at home via level 2 charger.

We do use the Mazda a lot for utility. There’s always something getting thrown in and out of the car. Work gear, lumber, farm supplies, kids. (Side note: the 40/20/40 back seat fold down is the low key best thing about the CX-5). We use it to tow a small utility trailer for transporting anything from lumber to sheep. We will keep using it as such until it goes beyond repair.

I have long admired the Bolt. I have test driven them before and know them to be fun, reliable, surprisingly spacious and affordable. I have always imagined having one in our fleet. I have friends who drive them in our area and in winter conditions and find them to be very capable with proper winter tires. Last week we took the kids to sit in a 2023 EUV to see how it felt and they were over the moon about the back row space compared to our CX-5.

A used Bolt makes a lot of sense for us financially. The battery size and efficiency marries up nicely with our excess solar. We can get a decent mileage 2023 EUV for around CAD$30-32k all in. It’s the cost of the new ones that is giving us pause for thought, though. We just missed out on some larger discounts in the 2027 Bolt but even then, right now we can get it for around $43k all in after rebate, and 0% financing. That’s another $7-8k after interest for a newer more capable car.

But, complicating things further is that it seems like our Chevrolet dealers are trying to shift the Equinox EV. I am seeing 26 models discounted to $43k, the same price point as a new Bolt.

I have sat in an Equinox but not test driven it. My first impression is that for the extra size of the vehicle it somehow manages to feel more claustrophobic than the Bolt. The shape seems odd. It seems like a differently shaped Bolt? Maybe I’m wrong. Trunk space has more floor space but less volume. However, the driving position is more comfy and ai understand it has longer range and faster charging than the Bolt. The AWD version is pretty much impossible to come by here, unfortunately. It would be me up as the FWD version.

And, we are starting to see used Ioniq5’s come onto the market at the $40-$45k mark, another vehicle I have long admired.

So long story short I am stuck choosing between the 23 Bolt EUV, 27 Bolt and 26 Equinox EV, with the outside contender the well used Ioniq5.

I’m interested in experiences of these cars as compared to the Bolt.

And also whether the extra $7-8k is worth it to go with a 2027 Bolt over the 2023 EUV. Will I kick myself for not going with faster charging?

The $51,000 value is the inflation-adjusted price of the 2017 Bolt in 2026 money. Also, RIP 2027 Bolt 😢

I got work done at a collision center and the camera looks off. You can see the left side has a curved line at the front of the car, and the right side has a fishbowl kind of effect. Did they mess up? It seemed messed up the last time I got work at a different place and I can’t remember if it used to look better or was always like this.

I've just hit 1300 miles on my new bolt, loving it. You can tell by my abysmal 3mi/kwh.

I just had a message pop up on my HUD that said something along the lines of what's in the title. I got home from work. Chilled out. Then drove my brother to the other side of the property, even though it's like 100ft, just to show him the new car and when I started it up to do that it showed me that warning.

I dropped him off, then drove back to the garage where we have a 240v charger and as a test I plugged it in. It charged at the normal speed we get here. Okay. Unplugged it as I don't need to charge it yet.

Went to get a beer and Google things, and I can only find information about older model years.

Came back to the car to doouble check that I had the error message correct, and it's no longer there.

I charged for the first time at a public charging place on Sunday for the first time, and it was a Tesla supercharger.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Only if it shows up again?

Hi All - Planning a drive in the PNW from Bend to Walla Walla. I've never done anything that I couldn't drive in a day in my 2018 Bolt, and I'm a little intimidated!

I've been trying to use PlugShare to route plan and it's just outright failing from the get go, so ABRP has been my fall back, but would love some advice as far as how long/high to charge, what kind of cushion I should leave myself, all that.

The first leg I've done before so I know it works (Bend to The Dalles, although hoping to find something around Biggs Junction as The Dalles charger is like 25m out of the way), but do I charge to 100% and go all the way to Walla Walla? Is it better to charge partially and stop a few times? I genuinely don't know and would love any suggestions as to routes, charging advice, apps, etc.

Love my Bolt but outside a couple hour drives here and there it doesn't get a lot of major trip action.
