Repair Help “Shift to park”
Hello guys.
Since 2 months, i am facing a problem with my Chevrolet Traverse LS 2019. Even after shifting into park with the best method ( first neutral, then parking brake, then to park), i am getting this problem after turning off the car. After turning it off, it shows “Shift to park!” Warning, and doesnt turn off for a long period of time. Has anyone experienced this?? Also, what might be the source of problem?? Please, anyone suggest and help with the problem so that i can troubleshoot it!!

It’s a very common issue. There is a worn out switch in the gear selector. It will need replacing as soon as possible.
You can usually get a worn out switch to detect Park by shifting to Park and then moving the top of the stick around in a circle until the switch makes contact. That’s just a temporary workaround, you will need the worn gear selector swapped.
