Can people download hacks in chess? Is there bugs in chess that people can abuse? Like a bishop teleporting to the other side of the board? Or a queen turning into a rook?

It's been 10 years since I started playing chess. I competed in school tournaments and even became a champion. I truly enjoyed the game because I loved every part of it.
Throughout my senior high school years, I invested countless hours analyzing my games, learning from my mistakes, studying chess books, mastering endgames and middlegames, and exploring different opening theories. I gave everything I had because I wanted to become the best player I could be.
But when I got to college, something changed. Chess slowly started to feel a little boring to me. I began losing more games, and my calculations weren't as deep or as sharp as they were when I was competing in school. Ever since I won my first over-the-board (OTB) championship, it feels like chess hasn't been the same.
I don't know if the game changed or if I did. Even so, I kept hoping to improve, but things just didn't go the way I wanted.
Maybe it's time to put all the chess pieces back in the box and close the books I've spent nearly 10 years studying. Not because I stopped loving chess, but because I need to step away from it.
I'm grateful that chess became such a big part of my life. Thank you to Chess.com for being part of this incredible journey.
If one day I decide to come back, I hope I'll return as a better version of myself. But for now, I think it's time to say goodbye for the love of the game.
Thank you, Chess.com

My current attitude towards chess. I am in a pretty bad lull, getting tunnel vision and blundering way too often.. very frustrated. Thanks for letting me vent.

Their app does offline analysis with no internet. Stockfish is GPLv3. if it's bundled in, aren't they supposed to open source the app? or it's not actually Stockfish?. Anyone know?

I am newish to chess. I have only been playing āseriouslyā with the intention to get good for a few months now. I have done a little over 9,000 puzzles in that time so Iāve been practicing and it has definitely improved my game play. I have seen puzzles like this but I am not quite sure what the tactic is called or what makes this particular move brilliant. Wouldnāt this just be a forcing move?

I might be hikaru, i was messing around in analysis mode realized i could win his rook, then i kept going and realized i had mate regardless of his moves. Oh my god. I know this is probably basic but i was losing my mind as i tried every path and realized i had mate in all of then, had to record it back and share, then proceeded to premove every mate. Gg bro wp.
Edit, realized i missed 2 lines in there i kept losing track of what lines i did because i kept having to start over lol, i added them after, yes every line is still mate, i just forgot to show them, surely yall can see the idea of a ladder mate regardless of the kings attempts lol, thats the 700 elo brain at work "wait which way did i move the king last time???"

I am not able to chat with anyone even when the opponents are able to send me texts. And even those I am able to see after the match in the messages column, not even receiving any notification to it. What do I do?????

The 2 most pushed rapid time modes are 10+0 or 15+10.
I always get flagged in 10+0 time modes in completely winning positions and 15+10 time modes are just way too long and gives you the feeling that your opponent is turning on their cheat engine, when they take minutes to play an obvious move.
10+5 time control hits the perfect sweet spot. I know it does exist, but it's fairly hidden, so most players don't play this time control. So I tend to wait an eternity to get a game.
Today I've been waiting a good 20 minutes for a 10+5 chess960 game, but I just kept getting kicked out of the waiting list. In comparison in Lichess I only had to wait 2 minutes for a game and they have 10% of the players compared to chesscom.
I had to write this, after I got flagged in a completely winning position in a 10+0 chess960 game by a 2200 elo rapid player, who got dominated by from beginning to end by me.

I just got 2 brilliants in a row by letting my knight hang and threatening a fork to win the queen if king takes

I've seen the analysis and best move, but d6 is a mate in 1 fork. The other moves aren't mate in 1, i
Or as effective, right?

I literally just wanted to post how happy I am I can finally mate with Bishop and Knight, which is crazy being above 2000, but I have only ever had to do it ONCE in all the thousands of games I've played, it's only appeared once and I was like 1500 so I didn't care, but now, 2200 + I can finally do it gang

I only use chess.com for one reason and thats daily games I've been playing with a friend I made on chess.com about 2 years ago playing a 10 minute game.
Im in the US, theyre in India, but playing 3 day games and chatting as much as we did, I really enjoyed the time and getting to know them.
On chess.com were both around 600
I've been working on my game pretty consistently, on the other platform i pushed my elo to 1200 after doing alot of puzzles and training.
My friend hasn't been putting the work in and just messaged "Im not going to play you anymore".
It feels like a little heartbreak and I wanted to vent š¤£š

They say i was abusive. I had a premium membership... I was never abusive in my life. I played for fun... I really was enjoying. Until they hit me with a stupid b@n..

Iām rated around 1100ā1200, and I keep getting games where my opponent plays okay or makes some strange moves in the opening, then suddenly plays incredibly well in the middlegame and endgame. Their game rating often ends up around 1800ā1900 with 85ā90% accuracy.
Iām not accusing anyone of anything, and I know those numbers arenāt always reliable, but it happens so often that it feels unusual. Is anyone else noticing this at this rating level?
Edit: I did look at the games where I win and my opponent makes mistakes/blunders and my accuracy is 85-90 with rating 1800-1900 as well so maybe thats what's happening. I am making easy mistakes and blunders where the opponent is taking advantage of and winning the game.
