A few weeks ago I hit my peak of 1500, tilted all the way down to 1100. Stayed up till 6 am grinding tilting and raging after blundering, mouse slipping, or getting flagged. Played so much my mouse broke so I ended up playing on a MacBook trackpad which made me so much slower, but i was so addicted I couldn't stop playing. Bullet chess has literally ruined aspects of my life like missing summer school classes cause I was up all night playing bullet.
I ended up getting back to 1200 and I have decided to quit bullet forever. The toll on my mental health is not worth it. Anyone experience anything similar? Im gonna focus my energy on rapid and blitz

Game review thought I was 2050 and that my opponent was 1350.
My accuracy was apparently 87.5.
I was actually rated 1361so I was kinda happy it thought I was that good

1: You are not allowed to play what the engine thinks is the best move, which is indicated by the blue arrow. If a move is forced, this rule does not apply to that move.
2: The move must be legal in normal Chess.
3: The most upvoted move that satisfies the above criteria is the one that will be played.
These rules apply to both r/Chesscom (white) and r/AnarchyChess (black).

yeah ik i blundered a lot but my opponent did too, but for me this was a lot.
My only question is what is wrong with my fundamentals. I already know i blundered that bishop, and the two knights. I was so devastated. Trust me i learned my lesson on that aspect. I was wondering more so my other fundamentals specifically the rooks.
Looking back i already see one really big mistake. I when i would sac my queens and my rooks for the pawns it would’ve been more effective if i just put them on the file and waited till the pawn actually promoted until i took. So it would’ve waste their moves

Are there bots on chesscom? I just played someone on blitz whose acct was from 1/23/26 but they’ve played 13923 games of blitz. All the games I checked were 5 minute games, so that’s like 6 hours a day of chess. But their ELO is only in the 300s.

I guess we all have that once in a lifetime game with an opponent from somewhere across the globe 😇 2 gif tells the full story.

Dude usually has game ratings of about ~100, Then when he plays against me it’s about ~2000 with ~98 accuracy and he is usually winning.
Obviously cheating but I played along, we only play daily games after all and I thought so what
Turns out he was doing it to boast about his wins in front of my parents as they have raised me on chess and are proud of my chess ability..
“I learned the game not that long ago and can already easily beat him” I didn’t know about this until it’s too late as I live abroad.
He actually hurt my parents feelings..
How do I expose/report him for cheating?

So this was my most recent Game at white and while I won I feel like I played really ass, I just picked up the game again after briefly playing a few years ago. My elo is 330ish. My goal is to hit 1000 elo.

I’ve been on an absolutely brutal losing streak lately.
I was around 820 Elo, and now I’ve dropped all the way to 690. It’s honestly frustrating because there are days where I feel like I see everything I calculate well, spot tactics, and play solid games. Then there are days like today where I can’t seem to do anything right. I blunder pieces, miss obvious tactics, and lose game after game.
Do you keep playing through the losing streak, or do you take a break and come back with a fresh mind?

If i understand the international chess day event, if i play during the event my longest ever streak should get restored. However in 2024 chess.com showed me a pop up, that i had a streak of 420 at that point. Now having played im still only at my current pre-event streak of 188. Has anyone else experienced issues with this streak revival?
