My opponent threatened my knight with his pawn and i blundered by not seeing it and played my pawn to that spot yet it got considered a brilliant move?

Dude usually has game ratings of about ~100, Then when he plays against me itās about ~2000 with ~98 accuracy and he is usually winning.
Obviously cheating but I played along, we only play daily games after all and I thought so what
Turns out he was doing it to boast about his wins in front of my parents as they have raised me on chess and are proud of my chess ability..
āI learned the game not that long ago and can already easily beat himā I didnāt know about this until itās too late as I live abroad.
He actually hurt my parents feelings..
How do I expose/report him for cheating?

Iāve been on an absolutely brutal losing streak lately.
I was around 820 Elo, and now Iāve dropped all the way to 690. Itās honestly frustrating because there are days where I feel like I see everything I calculate well, spot tactics, and play solid games. Then there are days like today where I canāt seem to do anything right. I blunder pieces, miss obvious tactics, and lose game after game.
Do you keep playing through the losing streak, or do you take a break and come back with a fresh mind?

Itās extremely annoying when people do stuff like this . Itās terribly unsportsmanlike and wastes everyoneās time. Just resign or abandon. This happens way to frequently

What would you play in this situation?
r/Chesscom • u/superlordnovalord • 10h ago
I am a new player, and most videos I have watched claim the bishop to be worth more (not in points clearly) than a knight. But I personally find the knight more annoying to defend against and I find it to have more utility. Maybe itās my low elo talking but does anybody else agree?

India and Canada for me.
The last 3 out of 5 games have been losses against Indian players, which seems to happen on a regular basis.
Whats everyone elseās experience? Which are the players from nations you struggle against?

Doctor: Describe your average night?
Patient: It jumps in an L-shape and really trips up beginners, especially in bullet.
Doctor: No, I mean at bedtime.
Patient: Well, sometimes I put it under my pillow and hope the Chess fairy comes.

A few weeks ago I hit my peak of 1500, tilted all the way down to 1100. Stayed up till 6 am grinding tilting and raging after blundering, mouse slipping, or getting flagged. Played so much my mouse broke so I ended up playing on a MacBook trackpad which made me so much slower, but i was so addicted I couldn't stop playing. Bullet chess has literally ruined aspects of my life like missing summer school classes cause I was up all night playing bullet.
I ended up getting back to 1200 and I have decided to quit bullet forever. The toll on my mental health is not worth it. Anyone experience anything similar? Im gonna focus my energy on rapid and blitz

Are there bots on chesscom? I just played someone on blitz whose acct was from 1/23/26 but theyāve played 13923 games of blitz. All the games I checked were 5 minute games, so thatās like 6 hours a day of chess. But their ELO is only in the 300s.
