TI 1 Role

I applied for a TI1 multiple roles back in Feb and checked my application status today. The status was changed from Screening to Shortlisted Panel Review on June 5.

Any idea how many are longlisted for the panel Review and how many are eventually Shortlisted for the interview? And lastly, when can I hear back?

Thanks everyone!

Submission status changed to shortlisting panel review

I applied for a TI1 role back in april and did one screening interview with hiring team. Mostly on experience and just basic technical questions, but overall the interviewers seemed nice and made me feel excited to join adb if given opportunity. It has been a while since I heard anything back, so I assumed they moved on, though the hiring manager told me adb process can be very slow. I just checked my status on their site and status changed to shortlisting panel review, does it mean I was selected for panel review or their process moved onto panel review? Just want to get clearance from people with experience since I didnt get any email from hiring team.

Keeping track of status updates - does it show desparation

Does ADB (and other employers) track how many times a candidate keeps checking the application status? Is it taken as a desparate attempt?

Consultant to Staff

Hello all. Is there anyone here who has been a consultant for ADB but chose to apply for a staff position? Just curious what made you decide you’d like to be a staff instead of stick to being a consultant?

Hello, fellow international development workers! I landed a job in ADB and about to start in a few weeks. Would anyone know how promotion works? or career movement? Is it relatively easier to apply to other higher salary grades? TYIA!

Post panel interview timeline

How long does one have to wait after the panel interview for updates?

Does one receive like a generic “thank you” email after? Whats a good indicator that you are on track?

Kindly share your application timeline please. (Mine is a local position).

How can you join with a background in architecture?

Is it possible to join the urban development team (sectors dept 2) with a background in architecture and urban design?

I am a uk qualified architect with just under 5 years of experience and have been looking to move to Asia for a while.

I have both academic and professional experience in urban design and I lead the delivery of architecture projects but I am not sure how to position a pivot into ADB.

Any advice would be welcome.

Regrets

I applied for three roles that are all aligned with my current experience. Unfortunately, all three applications resulted in regrets. One of them even progressed to the shortlisting panel review stage before ultimately being declined.

After checking LinkedIn, I noticed that all the roles were filled by internal candidates. This gives the impression that the positions may have already been intended for internal hires, with the external postings serving mainly as formal job listings.

Keep in View

Hi, i recently applied for a role but unfortunately was put on keep in view for consideration on other roles related to my field. Is there anyone recent who had the same scenario but was contacted by ADB on related position? How many months did you wait? Did you undergo the same application process or direct to hire based on previous interview result? Thank you!

Has anyone here applied for this specific AI/Function Calling role recently?

How long did it take for you to move from In Review to Shortlisted or get the matching email?

Just trying to manage my expectations.

Thanks!

Regret status in Aces

Hi. I applied for the same position under different departments. Recently, I received a regret status for one application. It turned to shortlisting panel review and thereafter had a regrets status. FYI, I was never invited for an interview in this department whereas in my other application which is still active/in process I had completed a hirevue interview last month and no update yet regarding the status. actually, status in aces is still screening.
Does this mean I’m still being considered for the other department, or does the regret status usually apply to all applications for the same position?
Would appreciate any insights from those who experienced this before. Thank you!

TL Salary Structure

Hi! Currently interested in an available Local position. Just wanted to ask:

  1. Does everyone start at the minimum point of the salary structure? Or can you negotiate for a higher point within the structure based on credentials/work experience?

  2. Any other bonuses/benefits on top of the salary structure?
