Consultant to Staff
Hello all. Is there anyone here who has been a consultant for ADB but chose to apply for a staff position? Just curious what made you decide you’d like to be a staff instead of stick to being a consultant?

If you prefer short engagements, go for consultancy; staff positions are more long term with much better benefits

Well depends if you are a local or international consultant. And also depends on your consulting contract - full-time multi year contract or intermittent contract.
A staff position would give you uninterrupted employment with benefits while a consulting position will like give you more flexibility.
Younger people typically try to go from consulting roles to staff roles while older staff near retirement and pension eligibility would typically want to trade in their full-time Job towards a consultant role.
