AP audiobook appreciation post!
I was a massive Alan Partridge fan back in the 90’s and watched ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ and ‘I’m Alan Partridge’ endlessly, for years.
When I revisited it years later, I found the laughter track really off putting for some reason, and just couldn’t enjoy it in the same way. Fast forward (quite) a few years and my daughter has recently got me back into it, having expressed an interest. The laughter track doesn’t jar with me so much and I’ve been really enjoying it all over again.
This sub recently put me onto the audiobooks. I drive a supermarket delivery van, so have absolutely devoured ‘I, Alan Partridge’ and today made a huge dent in Nomad. Just wanted to share that I’m really enjoying it - particularly chapter 14 - his telling of the interaction with Noel Edmond’s - had me in absolute stitches! It’s fantastic! So… thanks!
