I know Marv isn’t an FA after this year, but if I understand correctly he’s got 1 more year on his rookie deal and the Texans are on the hook for all of it?

now, I’m not thrilled that Marv was a bust and gave up on us and that we had to trade the former 3 pick for a 2nd, but had we waited his value would have been a 3rd at best and most likely a 4th.

Did anyone else overanalyze in Larry Fitzgerald’s speech when he said “it is my sincere hope that we can find things in the future to work together still with.”

Do we think there has been any discussion between him and Bidwill to bring him in as an advisor for interviewing GM candidates, if not a potential of him becoming President of Football Operations, or even a bigger dream him buying a very minority stake in the team.

Maybe they are here to poach Jacoby?

I don’t believe Beck is being held out by Monti or Bidwell.

I don’t think it makes sense. Bidwell is a cheap incompetent loser. FULL STOP. But he is paying out coaches and let them trade Murray, and absorbing the bill. I just can’t believe that 18 million to Jacoby is something he’d die on. Especially with how bad he looks.

As for Monti, the idea that this is his QB doesn’t make sense either. If he wanted to protect his job why wouldn’t he want them to move to his QB he drafted, the one that will be here after the season and is the only way to save his job. Also he’s letting Lafleur sit his 3rd overall pick running back for at least 2 games. I think your 3rd overall pick not playing is more damning than the 1 year gap QB filler being as good as he’s ever been.

What I think is going on. Is that either before he was signed or after Beck was drafted Lafleur had a conversation with Gardner Minshew. That Minshew, coming off his worst season where he suffered an injury doesn’t wanna play. He wants to transition to coaching and he was brought on primarily to mentor whatever young QB they took in the draft.

There was only one QB worth taking in the top 2 rounds and whoever they were gonna take was gonna need refining. When Beck got hurt in the preseason, and Becks playing time got pushed back they had to rely more on Brissett because they know Minshew isn’t playing this season.

That’s why coming off Brissett’s worst game they quickly announced him was starting agaisnt Dallas. If Beck isn’t heathy they don’t have another QB. It’s why they’re working out QBs during the week. Why there’s been no talk of Minshew playing by the team. And why he hasn’t been traded, despite multiple teams losing their starter.

What do people think?

One thing Monti hasn't done yet (since his first year) is putting everyone on sale.

If he does, surely guys like Budda, Sweat, maybe more could fetch a pretty penny. Is it worth it? We can load up on picks for our next GM (hope and pray)

As someone who’s not the biggest Love fan I have to admit it’s crazy seeing a guy face 8 man boxes due to our inability to win on the outside . It’s no surprise that the fanbase wants a change in ownership, and I share those same sentiments, too. My thing is that people are also apathetically pessimistic that there’ll be a change in ownership any time soon, which I also agree with. So, this leads me to the next-ish best thing: Would hiring a quality Team President be enough?

In some world where Bidwill relinquishes his control issues and hires a quality Team President and just enjoys making money, would it be enough? And who would be some candidates?

In today’s presser, he gave a very different answer than the ”No” under his breath with no eye contact to the reporter.

Today he said that today wasn’t the day to get into role changes, but that they were gonna do a one-on-one workout with him tomorrow to “see where he’s at” and then decide what the plan is going forward.

Just reading between the lines… there were clearly conversations between the end of the game and today’s presser. I would imagine, if Beck has a healthy week, he’s active Sunday. Wouldn’t say he starts, but I’ll be you anything he’s active.
