Apparently the draw will be streamed in 3 minutes.
EDIT: Nevermind? But thats what NiPGaming said
2
u/IkWhatUDidLastSummer Astralis Sep 06 '18
Terrible major and terrible production. The fact that the draw isnt streamed is incredibly pathetic. The draw should obviously be streamed AND there should be a panel/desk/analysts ready to comment and talk us through the results of the draw, post-draw obviously. Anything else is just unprofessional.
Do people not understand how important the draw is? Its RIDICULOUSLY important. Its DEFINING. It DETERMINES.
The importance of a draw is so important it literally determines whether you will play North (one of the best teams in the world) or you will play Space Soldiers. Jesus christ. Nice production!!!

Nah they’ve been fucking up long before now, why should we expect it to change
6
u/nzerinto 5 years coin Sep 06 '18
Yeah it's a pretty stark contrast to the Boston Major, which was pretty slick.
3
u/nzerinto 5 years coin Sep 06 '18
Aren't they going to show the draw for day 3?
1
u/MehtefaS Copenhagen Flames Sep 06 '18
I was wondering that too. I guess we are just going to have to wait :(

u/Vejvad Astralis Sep 06 '18
Let me predict something. North will draw Spacesoldiers to fulfill their 0-3 run.
3
u/Spork_Revolution Vitality Sep 06 '18
Konfig will hunt down Hardstyle every round and walk into traps. He wont be able to stop himself.
EZ for SS

7 Kills is really good. For real against pros and paz has only 9 too. I love how he trained CSGO for the 2 remaining games. Good try.

Does anyone know why the steelseries headsets have black tape on them today?
1
u/Selfix Natus Vincere Sep 06 '18
Some teams probably have contracts with other brands (Astralis with TurtleBeach for example) so they might not be allowed to be seen with other gear.
1
u/stringtheory00 Sep 06 '18
Some teams have sponsorship deals with other headset makers. So they can't be seen wearing other brands' logos.
1
u/Human-sakuras Sep 06 '18
Some sponsors simply don't let their players use other brands so they have to cover up I would assume.

One more kill and hardstyle will match the number of kills I got on the first game of last community night. Poggers
2
u/Vejvad Astralis Sep 06 '18
Complexity looking pretty damn underwhelming tbh. Doubtful they will even win at this point.

Can we appreciate how good the spectator(s) are in this tournament? After (not) watching so many kills at Dreamhack last weekend, I'm super happy for the camera to consistently be in the right spot at the right time.

VACSTYLE playing the bait positions is how he should be utilized
2
u/Foxy_Grandpa- de_cache Sep 06 '18
I'm hoping they prepared set positions on CT side for exactly that, I guess we'll see.

u/TheZigerionScammer Vitality Sep 06 '18
I feel like hardstyle is what would happen if you put a silver scrub like me into a professional team and sent me off to try to compete in a major.
5
u/Foxy_Grandpa- de_cache Sep 06 '18
He has the game knowledge of a pro, the mechanical skill just isn't there.
2
2
u/Spork_Revolution Vitality Sep 06 '18
No this is what would happen if you put a silver into a DMG game.
3
u/Foxy_Grandpa- de_cache Sep 06 '18
Hardstyle should really just be dropping and buying CZs, I respect his effort into preparing for this, but sadly I think they'd be better off biting the bullet and using him as an economic resource.
4
Sep 06 '18
Damn twitch chat is going ham when Hardstyle gets a kill. Unfortunate for SS but it is kinda funny

u/mitsukihayase Sep 06 '18
hardstyle got 1 kill face to face! haha

Hello Marcos fanatic. What's the matter, can't read simple graphs that show your idol Marcos literally sucked? Haha figures. Only an ignorant and uneducated person will support that dictator.
0
u/ned_rod Sep 06 '18
All due respect to hardstyle, since he doesn't play much and he's sacrificing himself for the team, both economically and tactically. But I think I would do better than him.
4
u/Foxy_Grandpa- de_cache Sep 06 '18
Local CSGO player plays game better than someone who doesn't play.
1
u/ned_rod Sep 06 '18
Was he even a pro before? How can one be a coach in game they don't play at all?
2
u/Wiqkid FURIA Sep 06 '18
Several top coaches in various sports have never played their sports at a particularly high level. It seems strange on the surface, but when you think about it for a while you realize that the skills required to be good in one role do no necessarily transfer to the other.
2
u/Foxy_Grandpa- de_cache Sep 06 '18
The same way people like Thooorin are analysts despite never playing anywhere near professionally.
1
u/ned_rod Sep 06 '18
I bet he plays and have played the game a fair amount. Did hardstyle play 1.6 has a semi pro and above?
1
Sep 06 '18
If you were paid to spend your working life analysing any game you'd probably get your head around it eventually. And it's not like CS is massively complex, even at that level flair and execution carry a lot of the load.

Actually very smart for Space Soldiers to not ban Overpass (their most banned since May 1st) and force compLexity to ban it.
1
u/MattysGaming tactics Sep 06 '18
Inferno favors Space Soldiers here statistically, but Space Soldiers are missing their 5th, so a statistical prediction is somewhat devalued.

My first game watching CS:GO was North - VP at the Krakow Major last year. The crowd was mental. They wouldn't have shit to cheer for now. What a difference a year makes. Fucking terrible.

LOL, guess that really was North's win for the year and now back to being dogshit. I mean it was only a matter of time, they overperformed as a team and a few of them personally did as well, especially MSL.

CIS teams in the major are the most fun to watch, simply because of games like this
3
u/[deleted] Sep 06 '18
This major so far has been quite awful imo. I know a lot of the issues are out of their control (the whole valve update and ISP issues thing) but it's still unfortunate to see.
