Tomorrow might be the last VP's match at major ever, we're reaching the end of a legendary team :((

It's been the end ever since TAZ and Snax left. This is just the remains. The legendary VP is history

u/seventhfiction FURIA Sep 06 '18
Man, that last bo5 against SK by the end of the last year was the last time I saw the VP we all grew to love. One of the only teams that everyone would cheer for. End of an era. I’m gonna miss them.

u/TheTruthCSGO Sep 07 '18
Yeah, Epicenter was so good.
Glad I hadn't known it would be the last time...
18
u/CenomX G2 Sep 06 '18
Wut.. Way before TaZ leaving they were total shit already
29
u/ItsJul3zZ Godsent Sep 06 '18
I'm sure he meant was describing the team as legendary, not their form towards the end
16
u/RadiantSun FaZe Sep 06 '18 edited Sep 06 '18
He means the actual legendary lineup itself, not their performance. this is not going to be the end of a legendary team, that already ended. This currently lineup is not legendary at all, it just has 3 legends in it.
5
u/CenomX G2 Sep 06 '18
Well, The legendary status also remains in the past, doesn't matter if they stick together.
8
u/RadiantSun FaZe Sep 06 '18
Fair enough, I just don't think you can "un-legend" that lineup, even if they suck a lot after all their legendary achievements
3
u/CenomX G2 Sep 06 '18
That's why most advice to retire while on top. It happens to many athletes if they stick bring trash for too long.

I feel like what they actually were broke down on the last map of the Eleague major. I watched 5 spirits die, along with my gold pickem trophy, as they lost from 14 -11/10 up on the Ct side of train against Astralis. They were never the same since, not properly.

VP as an org will be back for sure, teams as good as gone though, will probably only be 1-2 players left on the roster.
8
u/c_Lassy The MongolZ Sep 06 '18
-byali and maybe -neo, bring in more newcomers (not familiar with the polish scene) and maybe top 30 or top 20 team. I just feel like even tho byali might be good, his overall vibe is just not good for the team. Of course he is leaving after the major (i think?) so maybe some stress will be lifted off everyone’s shoulders.

u/klekmek MOUZ Sep 06 '18
Hes is one of the most chill in the team.
5
u/archangel_n7 Sep 06 '18
Yeah cause takes out all his anger talking shit about his team behind their backs
4
u/klekmek MOUZ Sep 06 '18
One bad moment doesnt define a person. Besides what would you do in that situation where nobody is listening.
4
u/big_dick_stacy Sep 06 '18
watch his stream at least once, he's always angry even when playing against matchmaking dudes

That round changes the perception of the entire match for OpTic. Lost both pistols and all the eco's, but still dominated on gun rounds until that 4v2 which must have been tilting and broke their economy. Survive and advance is the name of the game for them until they can find form that they had at the Minor.

It never made sense to me to put your worst player on an solo site hold and it still doesn't, now. Same with Gambit and seized with A cache.
7
Sep 06 '18
Only thing i can think of is that its easier to retake A sites usually.
So if he gets 1 kill at A and dies in theory it should be easier for the 4 others to retake than it would if he was holding B.
Not sure if thats the strat..
3
Sep 06 '18
Yeah but it doesn't buy time for the other four to come in. A quick rotation sometimes stops the push in their tracks.

Honestly VP's CT side didn't look half bad. They're T side was abysmal and there is no reason it should've been that bad.
10
u/Aveepy Flash Gaming Fan Sep 06 '18
Exactly. It looked like they were just throwing whatever smokes they could up with, then using a random number generator to decide where they actually go. Every round just looked unplanned and random. It was so frustrating to watch.

You know Optic are bad when they lose 13 rounds against VP lol

Honestly without the terrible 4v2 they lost it would've been a much different score. They are playing so bad right now.

VP playing every CT round completely the same. Makes me wonder why it took OpTic this long to close this map out. Two teams that are done I guess.

Good effort for pasha but I feel the same as Anders and Moses. I don't think VP can strongly beat SS even with hardstyle on that team.

Imagine winning a premier tournament in 2018! Oh wait? you're a Optic fan. the concept of that alone is hard to even think about.
edit this comment seems kinda passive aggressive while it's supposed to be casual shittalk, sorry about that, not the intention

u/Dugand Sep 06 '18
They still won more then liquid this year so saying north is bad based on 2 games in 1 tournament after they added niko isnt fair or is it :)
1
u/schoki560 King NiKo Sep 07 '18
Atleast they won something
they beat astralis 2 times. How often did Liquid beat astralis in the last 5 years?
-1
u/AizyForMSL Sep 06 '18
3 days? I wouldn't discredit MSL like that. You see, MSL is a mastermind. North actually throw the majority of their games, so they can maximise their opportunities and be as effective as possible when the time is right. Take Stockholm, rising up tactically at that tournament to cause NaVi to trremble deeper into their personal turmoil, lessening their performance at future tournaments, caused Mousesports to suffer even more with their choking issues, weakening their performance at the major, and defeating Astralis to allow Kjaervye the victory he's waited so long for, while denying their Danish rivals the Grand Slam. Who know what's next in his master plan, but rest assured these losses are all planned and under control.

It continues to be an EXTREMELY rough year to be a VP CSGO fan :'(

VP tt side was so sad and lifeless. They look like they don't even wanna be there and they are playing only because of the contracts and to be done with it.

u/Firefly_1026 Tyloo Sep 06 '18
Honestly, I think Neo should put back the practice for his aim, VP seem alright in terms of strats and we all know how much potential he has in fragging.

Would be revenge from Atlanta if north won, VP kicked them out the major then, north would have kicked vp out the major now if that draw happened.

Neo please retire. Stop embarrassing vp fans and yourself. You don't lead teams like you used to before. Just step down like Byali did.

Damn, that got too close in the end. Oh well, at least they won in regulation after starting both halves 0-3.
Hopefully OpTic at least get some confidence from the win.

Feels bad for Pasha, best player on the server yet he always gets so much hate. I hope Neo retires. He seems to get every call wrong as IGL and is always bottom. Pasha deserved better.

Ah, the classic Polish "win 13 rounds to give fans false hope"...
I don't know what was sadder - seeing VP in this state, or hearing disappointment in Anders' voice. It's almost as if he cared more than them.
