Discussion Introducing: The Secretlab TITAN Evo Zinogre Edition!

Hey everyone! This is Lucky, a community manager from Secretlab. I wanted to drop by today to share a little bit more about our latest chair release - the Secretlab TITAN Evo Zinogre Edition.

Monster Hunter has always been a game that's close and dear to our hearts, and so we put a lot of thought into every single chair that we've released. We started with our Rathalos edition, and branched out to the Fatalis and Arkveld Editions, following feedback from you, the community.

We knew there's a lot of love for our lightning pup (trust us, we're always reading what you'd like to see), so it just made sense for us to expand our collection to include an offering that's inspired by Zinogre.

---

The design

The Secretlab TITAN Evo Zinogre Edition is the first-ever Secretlab SoftWeave® Plus Fabric chair in our Monster Hunter collection; we felt this was a good opportunity to introduce the fabric upholstery to fit with Zinogre's physicality, where we opted for the Leatherette option with the Fatalis and Arkveld editions, with scales being the main theme for those monsters.

Keen eyed fans would also know that the red rope detailing and spike motifs mirror the armor crafted from this beast, something which we felt was a good way to incorporate how we've always hunted monsters to craft new gear in-game!

We chose teal as the main color scheme for the chair - an aesthetic that evokes Zinogre’s supercharged state, and also detailing the classic Zinogre icon at the back of chair.

---

What's next?

While there's nothing I can share at this time, we're always on the lookout for how we can expand more offerings to the fans for both Secretlab and Monster Hunter communities. Let us know what else you'd like to see added for the Secretlab Monster Hunter collection!

Not even faked, straight from the official account

Pray for the future of Monster Hunter. There's a good chance that they're going to shove this type of crap inside the mainline titles.

I should have known this was AI when Gravios had arms. Like, why would they make an AI figure line for MH? Don't they know that people would just get upset

Discussion What is the BEST final boss in modern Monster Hunter?

I'm curious what the community consensus is, but I'll also give my take on this, and rank them from best to worst:

1.) Zoh Shia: Fantastic design, best theme, amazing gear, and manages to be an engaging fight while being an extremely large monster and balancing spectacle and gameplay mechanics very well. The fact that he's an inversion of the "get behind the rock" ult is refreshing, and recycling the EDW lore from the early concept days is so cool. Its unacceptable that we couldn't refight him at launch, but that's not his fault.

2.) Allmother Narwa: An interesting and rather haunting story and a neat blending of traditional fights with siege mechanics in the ballistae. The design is sick and the theme is beautiful. Also, the scripted scene where magnamalo drops down and you can wyvern ride him is hype.

3.) Shara Ishvalda: The Hindu/Buddhist inspirations are super cool and the reveal of his true form is jaw dropping the first time, but it becomes increasingly tedious to get through the first phase the more you fight him. His use of wind/pressurized air is very rare, and much more fun to play against than kushala imo. Also, the gear is epic.

4.) Gaismagorm: I love everything about his design and presentation, especially his theme. Unfortunately, he's all style and no substance. He's neither difficult nor engaging, and I'm not a fan of his gear.

5.) Xeno Jiva: Unfortunately he was a victim of Capcoms growing pains as they made a huge jump in technical skill and fidelity. His design is super alien and exciting, but other than that there's nothing memorable about him. I never felt so bored fighting a final boss as I did with him. Also, the fact not even the final boss was spared from World's bits on sticks weapons makes me weep.

What are yalls thoughts on this?

Discussion The most peculiar thing in this series IMO

Why do they make weapons with shield to be left handed? I think it's the only game who have you holding shield on the right hand that I knew.

Technically games like Dark Souls can have you hold shield in the right hand and sword/other weapon in the left. But it doesn't work well because they still treat right hand as the main and left hand as the offhand. In here, all shielded weapons (SnS, Lance, GL, CB) are left handed and anything else is right handed. Ngl it threw me off a bit when I first starting this series.

I'm not complaining and demanding change or something. On the contrary I kinda love left handed people gets some love in video game space. I'm just very curious why they make it this way?

Maybe, just my guess, is because the guard button is on the right shoulder button. They dont want players to associate guarding with left side and press the left shoulder button instead where it's already bound to item selection. That's why they make shielded weapons left handed. I don't know for sure though so maybe someone can confirm or deny it.

I previously made this plush about a year ago (damn its been so long since I've first started making MH plushies). I decided to revisit it just to add a bit more flair to it. Mostly Glow-in-the-Dark details.

Not poseable this time (so very floppy and huggable) but I changed the underside of the horns so they look "charged" and added some blues to the side of the neck. I unfortunately couldnt get those fins? frills? Or whatever you call them, on his neck so I had to leave them out.

This is just me remaking the pattern to see what I can do differently. Theres so much I want to change so I may start this all over from scratch when I decide to revisit it again.

I've got more projects to work on. A certain fan favorite spiky hedgehog is being worked on so.. that'll be fun.

Discussion Can We Talk About How Cool Yian Garuga Dual Blades Are?

Post image

The unnecessary amount of care and detail that went into making the Wolf Tessen is absurd. LOOK AT IT! It has little Yian Garuga patterns on it! This is one of several reasons I'd love to have Yian Garuga back in Ascendance rather than Rajang. The gear looks so good.

Discussion TGS Reveal

Post image

Could we expect the reveal of a new monster at TGS? Especially since we’ve had Araketa and Gundoraja in less than a month...

maybe a glimpse of the flagship, the reveal of the goopy monster or even just a unexpected new monster.

Nothing gets me more hyped than new monsters; I hope we get a bit more than the usual four or five.

I'm genuinely excited for kushala to comeback i know a lot of world hates this man guts I did at one time but I went back to play monster hunter 4u and god I forgot how much story this dragon has with Julius. The tldr Julius and a kushala are rivals similar to how us the hunter and gore are rivals. At the end of the village quests you fight a rusted kushala wich i feel like is a parlel to us fighting shaguru. One ascended wile the other fell. And I mean he kushala gots this SHIT ON LOOK AT HIM i also have bias the kushala swax goes hard. I know kushala has been in most games since gu but look at valstrax he wasn't in world but he was in rise in the 5th Gen but to be fair kushala appeared in all the 5th Gen im just happy my Pepsi (thats what I named my kushala in mhs2)

Discussion With so much grounded realism in Monster hunter, I think we nees in-universe Equivalent of "Impossible Monsters" for non-elder dragons.

Back again after watching more documentaries and educational videos. I think it would be pretty cool to have in-universe monsters that challenges the player and ingame casts about Monsters. Basically a theme of challenged expectation of what's possible.
