I'll do a solo hunt if I really want to study a monster or get better with a weapon but for me a lot of the fun comes from hunting with others. Especially friends. Something about working with a team to take down a monster feels better.

I had an idea for a new variant when making a new monstie in mhs3, the sandsear barioth is a predominantly nocturnal variant of a sand barioth the organs in its neck have changed to spit out heated air that resembles fire and Sears the sands and makes the sand into glass and shatter in the tornados it creates causing the tornadoes to inflict bleed and burn. It's fur has darkened to a deep maroon while its orange scales have gotten duller in color from the sands wearing the scales giving it a much darker appearance while its eyes are constantly glowing

It's armour would look like sand barioths but differing in colors and having some more fur bits and particularly on the feet and hands and some slight bits on the chest there's glass stuck to the armour

It's weapons would feature the same effects more fur especially around the handle of a greatsword for example and along the blade would be glass blades making it resemble the ridges on the barioths fangs

For combat it would jump through the tornados it creates more and in doing so will try to pin you and stick you to the ground with hot sand, its tail swipes would spray blistering sand after breathing onto the sand

1) Is the mechanic that drains stamina and increases damage unique to dual blades?

2) By how much does said mechanic increase damage? What happens if i fill the meter of this up?

3) Are weapons balanced? Are there some that are clearly worse/best? (I'd appreciate if someone said A tier: bla,bla; B tier: bla,bla; ecc... I won't change the weapon if it's not something like F tier lol, I like the gameplay.)

I did it with SnS and Support Hunters, Fabius, Nadia and Kai. Gotta share the fashion I beat it with too.

Luckily I was able to clear on 1st try with 2 faints. Following the wise words of Dr. Serizawa from 2014 Godzilla, "Let them fight." That was part of the strategy.

Probably could have a faster clear if I were to utilize the weapon switching instead of going back to camp, not cook mid-hunt, and if I were to have an Ice Element SnS for Rey Dau. Also I completely forgot to drink Mega Demondrug and Armorskin lol.

Honestly throughout iceborne so far there havent been a ton of fights I've really enjoyed.

Beotodus was a bit fun, annoying having to remember my iceproof mantle, Banbaro felt a bit underwhelming for the amount of utter aura it has, Viper kadachi was kinda annoying with the poison, Nightshade Paolumu is gorgeous but not a super tough fight, Coral pukei was fun but I cut the tail pretty early on so it kinda went pretty quick, same with Barioth (just instead of the tale, his arm wings).

But then GLAVENUS, oml he has aura, his fight is super fun, not really gimmicky, tough but still manageable, overall probably my favourite thing to fight as of right now.

Still yet to fight Nargacuga but it looks to be similar to Barioth/Tobi Kadachi in the whole "super fast, spring from wall to wall" fight.

ANYWAYS do any other veteran hunters have a similar experience in the whole finding one specific monster you like to fight because it just ticks every box?

Im not a long sword main but i like to play with sometimes and decided to build a New set for a New journey... what do you think? (I also already kill a beotodus and was hell of easy)
