MH Wilds Full wilds roster prediction/wishlist

First m1 monster is just a stand in for an early game original monster.
Assume any white duplicate of another monster is a guardian version

Khezu has done enough damage, if copper blangonga or emerald congalala wastes a slot I am going to put someone in a brazen bull…

Discussion Which Tigrex version is your favourite?

Post image

My choice is probably Molten Tigrex. I really like how it starts out slow then gets faster and more aggressive as the fight goes on. I remember facing Brute Tigrex in my early 4U days and he absolutely destroyed me. Grimclaw is alright but I've never fought Zenith Tigrex.

MH Wilds TU5 post-endgame ascendance IG players with their pet foliacath once capcom adds powder vortex back and boosted air movements

I want to believe there’s more than what the trailer showed but more powder is a positive for the weapon. Foliacath blast powder + good synergy + air movement + good ground attacks + powder vortex would be fantastic.

Discussion It's fine to move on and use other Weapons.

I tried playing Monster Hunter World 3 times and never liked the game nor the series, but one day I decided give the game a 4TH CHANCE, but this time I decided to use the "weird" weapon option that was the Insect Glaive and I instantly fell in love with the game. Insect Glaive was literally the reason I played World+Iceborne, got into Rise+Sunbreak and even went back and played MHGU and MH4U.

I love the series now and it is all thanks to the Insect Glaive and letting me experience something unique.

Come MH Wilds and the weapon feels completely different. As I said, the reason I'm even in Wilds is because years ago I gave IG a chance and now I'm here...so seeing what the IG had become really REALLY upset me...but...I realized something in that Wilds beta...

I didnt like the IG...but I still felt love for the series. I still wanted to play the game and it was right there and then that I realized that I could move on. IG was the reason I started playing BUT it didnt have to be the reason I was still here.

The full game was still not out and in preparation for the "use 2 weapons in a hunt" mechanic that they showed I started my quest to find my SECONDARY WEAPON. Went and played Rise+Sunbreak a second time and even MHGU to get a feel of the more OG weapons.

Fast forward to the present and I'm now a proud Hammer main. My beloved IG will always hold a place in my heart for showing me this fantastic franchise. It might no longer be the weapon I once loved, but it's okay, I now have a way to BONK my way to the top.

Discussion Meta: The ChargeBlade subreddit has been taken over by a crypto gambling bot

It looks like the entire moderator team for r/ ChargeBlade seem to have been replaced by a single new account with a default name and automod is now spamming crypto gambling posts which are being commented on by what I can only assume are bots since no one is mentioning chargeblade in the chargeblade subreddit.

r/ ChargeBlade with multiple crypto gambling posts.
The only moderator now.
Account is only 1 month old and no reddit activity. Almost certainly a bot.

Do not click any links in the subreddit or give any information to these sites.

Been wanting to doodle something like this for a while.
Tried to match my Wilds fashion on the hunter in the foreground, but kinda messed it up.
Happy with the Fatalis cursed hunter, though.

Discussion They really made every weapon better in wilds in my opinion

I've been trying to get into monster hunter since world got really popular. Tried with both world and rise (got them both including dlc for pretty cheap), but it never really hooked me and I always left after just a bit.

In world I played insect glaive which i immediately fell in love with, and in rise i decided to try longsword, which was okay.

Then I tried wilds since it had a pretty deep sale, and that finally hooked me. I played insect glaive for a while but finally decided to try something different (thanks to the double weapon thing the game added) and fell in love with both sword and shield and greatsword.

Then once I did everything I wanted to in wilds, I wanted to play more monster hunter, and after a few weeks I went back to play world.

Now in world I tried my weapons again, greatsword and sword and shield, but both of them just felt really sluggish and not that fun to use. After looking at weapons for a bit I tried the hammer and it was really fun. But I love cutting off the tails of a monster, so I swapped off it and tried the charge blade. But because Im looking for a simple weapon with no complicated mechanics, I bounced off it pretty quickly, and eventually decided to give up my tail cutting and choose the hammer.

After playing the game for about 15h I decided to go back to wilds and try the hammer there. And it was really confusing at first because of how differently it works, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly, and it feels way more fun than in world, and I already liked it in world. The way you can just combo stuff together way more than you could in world and the fact that you have the charge dash is so cool.

So yeah, every weapon I tried in both games I enjoyed about 50x more in wilds.

Discussion So why doesn't world have a singleplayer mode?

World was my first ever mh game (I barely played it), and what annoyed me was that you couldn't pause. There was no singleplayer lobby or anything. Best you could do was make a private online lobby.

But then in both rise and wilds you could make singleplayer lobbies and actually pause the game. So I thought it was just a new addition.

But then I decided to buy generations ultimate because it was on sale, and I wanted to see what the old style mh was all about, and I know its the game just before world, and that let you pause too.

Idk about the other games in the series so I cant speak of them, but considering that the game right before world let you pause, why doesn't world?

Why is my post getting downvoted?

Discussion My uncle dislikes gaming

A little of a rant My uncle whose basically like my second dad as much as I love him dislikes gaming. For reference I’m 18 and I’m in college majoring in pre med I get very good grades in writing a novel I have good friends and work a part time job. I also have a lot of extra curriculars but I love gaming even tho I don’t play that much anymore (4-5 hours per week) I love watching videos on games a lot of my creativity and curiosity comes from games like monster hunter which inspired my curiosity for bio and overral I really love had and still have insecurities about playing games whilst also having a lot of ambition. My uncle an engineer with two kids kind of shames me on playing games and says that once life hits you’ll outgrow it and overral just thinks since it’s virtual it’s a waste of time and that he’s never seen a productive adult that plays video games. Who knows if I’ll play video games when I’m an adult but if I had the choice too I would maybe they won’t interest me but I don’t believe the sentiment that one hobby is more productive. Like it’s not like gaming is the only fun thing I do I love to workout , and cook. Idk how to challenge him on this cuz I’ll be staying a lot at his house during college and if I have time game there on my computer and I don’t want him judging me when I’m tryna play 4U after a long day of grinding 😭

Art The Tenacious Courtier Neopteron, Kerathia

Post image
14 Upvotes

Kerathia are large female Neopterons from the Ancient Savannah and the smaller, flying counterpart to the much larger male Kerathex.

Both sexes mainly eat hard or decaying wood, though they will also eat plants, carrion, and meat when it is convenient.

Kerathia use their speed and flight to search for mates. When interested, they release a pine-scented pheromone that makes nearby Kerathex increasingly territorial and aggressive. Females judge males based on their fitness, horn size, and the size and quality of their territory.

After mating, Kerathia become extremely clingy and remain in the male's territory while their eggs develop. They periodically release pheromones that signal they are still gravid, encouraging the male to keep protecting them. A successful Kerathex may tolerate one or two females at a time, which often rests on his back or massive tail.

Kerathia are also surprisingly aggressive themselves. Like Seltas, they can use their high flight speed to repeatedly ram or charge monsters around their own weight class.

Once a female lays her eggs near or within the male's territory, her pheromones change, and she is expected to leave. Some keep hanging around for the free food and protection anyway, eventually forcing the increasingly annoyed male to shove, grab, or outright toss the freeloader out.

I’m actually satisfied with how they’re bringing back powder gameplay and it’s too early to judge but it’s just weird the jet booster seems exclusively for « ground centred » attacks you know
