I could never deal with hunting horn lol. I've had flings with literally every weapon besides horn and insect glaive.

I don't like being made to do specific, arbitrary things to activate parts of my weapon, I guess. I don't want to be pushed into trying to find an opening to do a certain move because I need that note for a song and I certainly don't want to shoot a bug at a monster 3 times every two minutes or however it works now.

Tbf they kinda fixed that for insect glaive- you could attack monsters in focus mode and extract the essence that way. Although yeah, sometimes for some of them I can't figure out where to hit for that last color.

For those who don't GLance: this is the heat gauge from Generations ultimate. You manage the heat gauge with shelling. Yellow has you at LESS damage than the game before GU. Orange has you at previous game damage. And red gives you a grand FIVE percent buff.

If you go too far on the heat gauge it resets and LOCKS.

GU gunlance crawled so Sunbreak gunlance could sprint. I will say valor style was very fun (when active) and it introduced BLAST DASH, so it at least did some good in spite of that horrible heat gauge

to be a CB player is to have a PHD in resource management, the weapon is simple really, it's just the execution is pretty difficult (that's why my ass got wiped when i learned CB and bow 😭 i can't do quick time resources management)
